Unusual Preparations at the CDC?

NASA, the IMF and the CDC? That seems like an odd combination and a bit of a stretch. Unless were into Elenin for a huge wad of cash and aliens are threatening to plague us like some interstellar collection agency.

Agreed. Very unusual collection of agencies. The IMF struck me as being quite odd. However, it was NASA's involvement that he found to be quite odd, and likely because of his predispositions about Niburu.

Maybe all of this has nothing to do with anything serious, but just something as banal as mandating some layoffs throughout the government (?). Who the heck knows? I'm just reporting the word on the street.

Maybe - just maybe NASA and some of those classified payloads they've sent up have technology that the CDC might fiind helpful. Remember there is a lot of stuff in space that does not look out - it looks in - at us - down to the level of pores in the skin - well maybe not that percise but they can read license plates from space.

I have worked in a small Government Command Post - you would be amazed at who all is on board. They ALL coordinate. Food born, germ born attacks/entities would probably fall to the CDC. Need to spy from space? NASA. Need to follow the money = IMF.

Expanding and upgrading command posts and including agencies - that might seem suspect to the uninformed probably helped create some of our deficit. We have some fancy, wiz boom toys folks. Doesn't mean planet X is lurking.

I wonder if it has anything to do with this?

Each year since 2005, the American Meteor Society receives hundreds of fireball reports,this page contains the logs of all fireballs reproted to them since 2005:

The totals are:

2005: 466 firebals reported, average 1.28 per day
2006: 515 firebals reported, average 1.41 per day
2007: 587 firebals reported, average 1.61 per day
2008: 726 firebals reported, average 1.98 per day
2009: 693 firebals reported, average 1.90 per day
2010: 947 firebals reported, average 2.59 per day

Today's totals are: 672 fireballs reported, 3.46 per day, 128 per month.

I started noticing something odd last year: a spike in bolides and fireballs globally. I started tracking via amsmeteors.org in January (mostly for convenience' sake). From what I can tell the situation is the same all over: about a 2.5X increase in the number of reported fireballs. Given that we're warming things up on the bottom of the atmosphere, and an increase in fireballs is warming up the middle and upper parts, is it any wonder we're having such huge storms lately?

But what really concerns me is this: what if we are entering a more thickly populated patch of space? I'm not really worried about a planet-killer asteroid...we should be able to spot any incoming in a fair amount of time, and it couldn't be hidden for long: too many amateurs.

But what about a rain of smaller ones? If enough enter the atmosphere it doesn't much matter if they hit the ground or not, the effects will still be severe. If a few Tunguska-size hit, then that would pose significant challenges, and would fall in line with preparations like this and others that have been reported. Moving into a thicker patch is something that could be detected by government agencies, but not detected by amateurs. It therefore could be hidden until such time as it becomes patently obvious.

If I'm correct, that should be happening sometime soon. Let's hope I'm quite wrong about it.

In all seriousness, they are probably planning for the possibility of the U.S. defaulting on its' debt in a few weeks. If the Dems and Reps can't come up with a solution to the budget/debt ceiling problem, there is a serious chance of riots/revolt. In this type of senario, the Government would no doubt have some sort of contingency plan. Just throwing out the most logical reason I can think of for such actions.

The only thing to worry about
with the coming of Comet Elenin is the fact that the coma
or tail,will be directed towards earth as it passes between earth and the sun.
But,that is a slight chance as it wont be on the same orbital plane as earth.

Very interesting. The first part of the description sounds very similar to a project we were involved in for a large telecommunications company (trying not to name names). It was an emergency bunker, they called it the "war room". It was a place where in case of emergency they could gather for emergency communications and to keep lines open among important city centers for "command and control" purposes. These types of facilities have been around a long time and now and then are updated or built in new locations to keep up with technology, so that part of your story may be nothing more than standard operating procedure. The 2nd part about the video clip is very interesting though. I used to know someone with the CDC, I'll have to see if I can get in contact with him to see if he knows anything.

Does anyone know what was on the last shuttle launched? Biological warfare?

will ask my med school classmate CDC employee what he knows - he's a huge skeptic so

I think it's possible that since your friend seems to be more apt to believe in conspiracy theories that he may be seeing what he wants to see with this particular job, so to speak. Is he big into conspiracy theories? Not that it would necessarily discount what he is saying.

I think it's possible and probably more likely that the government is simply updating their preparedness for any kind of disaster and not for one in particular.

I just don't understand the Elenin, Nibiru, etc. talk and linking it to the government preparing for it. Because if it were a real threat I doubt there's much anyone could do about it unless we're going "Armageddon" on it!

So I sit here wondering what would the DOD, IMF, NASA,CDC, etc. have a meeting for? Maybe to build something? IMF could be for financing the project maybe? Maybe a complex that houses all of them? Just trying to think un-apocalyptic for a change.

If it is bad then we shall soon see.

The other thread showed a video which has been been removed from YTube, but this post by Chrismicha77sums it up pretty well

Some key phrases I got from this that need to be paid attention to:
- Bring family & pets inside
- Lock doors, windows, vents
- Turn off fans, AC, heating
- Have plenty batteries & flashlights
- Go into an interior room away from windows
- GET PREPAIRED l.
Nuclear fallout anyone? CME's maybe?

Since I live up north, I too found this advice from NASA to be unusual, especially the part about locking the doors and windows and sealing the windows, although some said it was hurricane season and it was practical advice.

Well just a guess but if If remember right an
Astronauts wife was shot in the head a few months before he was to go into space.
It caught NASA and the astronaut off guard.
So it would seem reasonable to try to prepare
The NASA Family
for any more unseen events in the future.

How do you know that is the same video? I would think that the CDC would be getting a better version than that.

Compile all the evidence and the one thing that causes everything on that list is a large celestial body approaching earth and its sure not called Elenin or a fairytale planet named Nibiru. Read the bible, its called Wormwood and like the bible says ITS A STAR!!!

Uh-huh or that was a warning shot to him that he'd better pony up and do his outer space duty with his lips sealed.

How is this unusual? All they do there is prep for things, big and small...and they do it a lot. So how is word of just one of many of varying degrees that happens all the time in case of emergency...be unusual? Because to us maybe it seems like it?

Since I have been through many hurricanes,these preps don't apply.
More like some sort of airborne threat.
Radiation,chemical,biological or zombie!
