Phage is not a dis-info agent. I'm convinced of that. I believe in his expertise. If refuted by expertise then that's where this member will listen. I think any claims of dis-info are completely perposterous.

i was watching a show yesterday about the Mayas. They are said to be an advanced race. Advanced compared to what? They never do say that the Mayas knew how to read and write and do complex astronomy, but the guys who lived next door were complete idiots who could barely pick their noses. Point being, advanced compared to what? take this whole galactic conjuction or alignment or whatever one wishes to call it. The alignment only occurs in this sector as a result of our perspective. does this alignment occur in Zeta Reticuli? ummm....no. this is just another story of how great we are. just like God gave his Only Begotten Son...to who?...to us. Just like the aliens have nothing better to but to guide who? us. just like this 2012 thing. the galaxy is gonna align for who? us. look...any story that begins by telling you how great you are is a bunch of HS...plain and simple.

2012 is just like the rest of them,a dooms day hoax.

Fear-mongering as usual,ill be surprised if something even simular or related happens.

We passed through the galactic plane about 3 million years ago. This means we will not be passing through it for another 30 millions years. So, I think it's safe to say we will not be passing through it on December 21, 2012.

Maybe instead of claiming people are disinfo agents you should actually try to refute what he is saying. Even if he were a disinfo agent it wouldn't change that what he said in his OP is true. So, instead of throwing around false claims so you can hold on to your false beliefs maybe you should do some leg work and do some research of your own. If you can't refute what Phage said with simple science, maybe it's time to reevaluate what you believe.

You seem to be confused about some astronomical concepts.

The ecliptic is the annual path which the Sun follows through the sky. Nothing orbits the ecliptic, it is an imaginary line seen only from Earth.


The Solar System is not aligned with the center of the Galaxy any more than any two points form a line. If you are talking about the plane of the Solar System aligning with the plane of the Galaxy...no, there is difference of about 60º.



You seem to be confusing precession with the harmonic oscillation of the Solar System (the "vertical" movement of the Solar System in the Galaxy). Precession is caused by the rotation of the tilted axis of Earth and takes about 26,000 years to complete a cycle.

The harmonic oscillation takes about 60 million years. The Solar System passed through the plane on its way "north" about 2 million years ago. It will be 28 million years before we do it again in the other direction.

What "giant Earth Shift?" Do you mean the calculations showing that the Earth's "figure axis" may have moved 6 inches? Hardly giant but that would not cause the position of the stars to change, it causes a miniscule change in the rate of precession (which varies anyway).

Well as I said we are in an era of spiritual development right now. I'm talking about the fact of universal consciousness, meaning we are all inter-connected. To understand all of our choices and doings do have an impact on everybody surrounding add more to this point of view.

Anyway what I mean here was that I have a deep belief that this alignment and the general human spiritual development do have a correlation. I cannot prove it nor say the article you stated is in this way of thinking. I only said those statements were on a personal basis.

thank you. this is what i have been trying to say but cant convey as well as you. also i would like to ask how did the mayans know of this? from what i have read/understood nobody knows how they calculated or was able to figure any of this out without todays technology. that alone tells me they knew more about something than we do. i was also pondering and not sure of the answer. did the mayans believe the earth was round or flat? if they knew or believe the earth to be round than wouldnt that also mean that somewhere along the line we took a giant step back. as most of europe and civilization after the mayans thought it was indeed flat for many years. if that is the case, have we even caught up with them yet?

The world is in a chaotic state. The USA is about to have their credit rating lowered which will have devastating cascading effects on the national and international economy. In addition we are facing one war after another. We have weird weather, major earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

I don't think we have to wait until Dec. 21, 2012 for a major world change. I believe it is happening now. I hope as a world we are in for a shake up that will stir us out of our day to day mundane existence and move on to a more human world.

In the end we will all face the end of the world. It will occur sometime during the next 80-100 years, or however long the human lifespan is.

We've known the world is round since the ancient Greeks. Even during the Dark Ages there were only a handful of authors espousing a flat Earth. A flat Earth model would have been found to be wrong very quickly by any sailing culture.

It doesn't matter if there will be a signifigant moment that may destroy us in 2012, even if it doesn't happen, the next popular doomsday scenario in line will take control over the reign of '' whats in'' .

Time and time again I stress to people to pay attention to what WE are doing to each other.

Thats a far more realistic subject of our destruction than 2012.

And to those that think when 2012 comes and passes and nothing happens means something else will, quit wasting your lifetime on things you have no way to control.

Wake up in the morning and take a good hard look at the world, you will see what REALLY is our doomsday scenarios and it has nothing to do with the cosmos IMO, but I'm not Jesus, I don't know what tomorrow or the next 15 minutes will bring, we have to focus on what we can control here and now, everything else thats out of our reach is just a waste of time and life.

By your right as a free willed soul, you are allowed your opinion as I am mine. And mine is simple and has been all along.

Do I believe something will happen in 2012 that will end us? NO

Do I KNOW something won't happen in 2012 that will end us? NO

My point is I'm not saying something will or will not happen, I keep an open mind, I just believe the lies that have been told to us should be set aside and we should focus the wrong way we have been guided into our own ways to do what is right for us and for our families that we can control. Ranting about things we can't guarantee will happen is for the sake of entertaining arguements IS a waste of time. Thats just where I stand, sorry.

I know we have been lied to by countless leaders for thousands of years. I live in my own reality of what I can control and it has worked out fine for me, both spiritually and realistic.

i personally believe there could very well be something to the whole capacitor, gemagnetic-electrical universe theory. and that is where elenin connections remain. i do not think there is any chance of collision or the such, but do believe it could be a celestial body with a make-up that visits us throughout history and helps nudge the earth along on some distinct and profound changes. along the lines of major quakes and volcanic eruptions. the kind that alter the landscape of the planet.

WHICH Mayan calendar was more accurate than our modern calendar? There were more than one, you know.

The Mayan calendar had only 360 days per year in it, compared to the modern 365.25 day year. To fudge that, the Mayans had 5 intercalary "non-days" to take up the slack, and it had to be re-calibrated every 52 years.

Not terribly accurate, as compared to ours.

Therefore, you need to specify WHICH Mayan calendar you consider as being particularly hyper-accurate.
