This is my first thread ever anywhere, so forgive me if I haven't done it properly, but I would be very interested in your responses and ideas.

There are two gods: the good, compassionate, joyful Heavenly Father of the New Testament, who gave us the gift of free will and a moral conscience, who sent Jesus Christ Our Lord and Saviour to redeem us from the EVIL IMPOSTOR god of the Old Testament, who deceived the people into crucifying Our Redeemer. It is The Impostor god who deceived the people who believe in him, telling them they were the chosen ones of "The Lord of Hosts". They didn't know he was really the Evil Impostor, who has done everything in his power to ruin all the joy and glory of creation, destroy all beautiful life forms, and replace them with destructive ones. The Evil Impostor whose minions have infiltrated and corrupted every government and every religion on earth. It is the Evil Impostor who demands religious rituals and suffering to "appease" his "wrath": human and animal sacrifices, temple prostitution, cannibalism, vampirism, bestiality, paedophilia, torture, beheadings, mutilations, blood and flesh and all manner of depravity.

It is the Evil Impostor who wants to convince us there is no real God, no need for conscience or morals, and that we ourselves are "gods". The Evil One who wants to drag humanity down into the darkness, far from the lifegiving Sun given to us by the Real God. The Evil One who planned the Apocalypse of Revelations long ago, as a vast "Negative Energy Harvest", to try to devastate the Earth and capture as many "hostage" souls as possible before Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ arrives again to save us. The Evil One who even now corrupts men's hearts to his will, persuading them to "Stage the Tribulation" for him, using technologies like HAARP, chemtrails, diseases, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and armies clothed in satanic black. The Evil One who has made men build secret bases underneath the sea, in which to hide with their captives while they stage the Tribulation.

It is important to distinguish this Evil Impostor god from the good, compassionate Heavenly Father, and to STOP BLAMING Our Heavenly Father for everything bad the Evil One does. The Real, Joyful God does NOT demand sacrifices or rituals or "mysteries", nor wants to devastate the beautiful earth or destroy the life forms He loves---it is the Evil Impostor god who does these things, to spite and defy the Real God. It is spiritual warfare.

Yes, thats nice, thankyou for your opinion. I will sit back and watch them swarm.

And given this is your belief, I will give you mine.

I believe in The Creation and God. God is one with The Creation, and we are one with God, therefore we are one with The Creation.

There is the God that gave birth to us as a species, and that is inside every single one of us, but The Creation is Light, it has created this Multi Verse, and holds it together.

God has provided us with the facility to nurture our spirits, to perfect them, over and over and over.

The God people blame for the atrocities of Human is the same God that gave them the free will to create music, draw art, and live in harmony and wander the once beautiful world. It is Humans choice to do these things. Only we are accountable for our actions. Not God or whoever it is you believe in.

Correction: More than likely there are NO gods. But, there are many, many mythical gods.

Does this "evil impostor God" have a name? I don't remember hearing about him in church.

Well, actually there are some 3.500 'god's', but in the context of this thread, two will do fine as representatives of two major 'god' categories. Each with their own own 'ultimate' reality-model, where up-is-down or vice versa.

Personally I like the version presented here better than the OT-like 'gods'. And even if I'm not a theist, the principles represented by fictive 'gods' can be approached.

One aspect being, that the OT 'god' actually can be demonstrated to be a fake (at least on contemporary norms of knowledge). One of the few science/religion meetings, where 'footprints' can be found and evaluated.

OT-theists, get going and re-read genesis 1.

I personally do not believe in either..

But I'm curious as to where you got this idea? Where in the Bible (since it seems that is what you believe) does it suggest an "imposter God" from the Old Testament.

I used to be very involved in a church for many years, and so I am pretty familiar with the "good book". Just saying, I have never seen any indication of God's Evil Twin anywhere.. In fact, in both the Oled and New Testament, God says makes it known that he is the one and only true God (according to the book and the christians beliefs and yadda yadda ya..) so that would present a dilemma wouldnt it? If there are two gods, and the good one says that he is the only one, than he is either a lier or does not know about the other god which would wipe out the validity of him being all-knowing.

Maybe if you had some verses to support your theory?

I have since come to hold organized religion in pretty low regard, and also feel that Christianity is one of the worst things to happen to man.. just my opinion,

So none of this really matters to me or my beliefs... just debating for the sake of debating.

That's probably because churches are the last place to get real information in.

One name, somewhat parallel to the thoughts of OP, is the 'demi-urge'.

Personally I think of Jahveh as "the demon-lord with 'god'-pretentions".

The God of the New Testament also introduced Hellfire. An eternal threat against disbelief.

In an age where knowledge was sparse; superstition and fear was ripe.

It is The Impostor god who deceived the people who believe in him, telling them they were the chosen ones of "The Lord of Hosts".

Another anti-semetic doctrine? Well, I'll give you credit...first time I ever heard THIS one...

I guess the "evil" god was off his game when he used the Old Testament to make all those ACCURATE prophecies concerning Jesus Christ...

I guess when Jesus referenced the "Heavenly Father's" interaction with the Saints of old (Elijah, Abraham, etc), he must have been off his game as well...

As for you atheists who feel like religion is being "rammed down your throat", I would like to remind you that YOU clicked on an obviously religious post in the religion forum ostensibly for thge sole purpose of R'ramming your opinion down someone else's throat. Hypocrisy really doe suit you!

I wasn't aware Atheists were exempt from discourse concerning Religion or Philosophy of Religion.

It's not hypocrisy; you can take or leave our opinions; we don't insist upon our opinions as truth; we don't claim to reveal the unknown, and we certainly look at ALL scripture without bias; we treat all religions equally; unlike most religious folk.

The anti-OT 'god' attitude isn't identical with anti-semitism. It's mainly directed at OT-christians; and it's not a 'new one'. It's app 2.000 years old.

Your defense of the OT-'god' through the use of 'signs and wonders' (self-fulfilling, or even faked prophecies, clouds looking like angels, fire-and-brimstone being nuclear weapons etc) is a self-defeating tool. You guys have to go to such lenghts to keep it up, that you practically are out of communication-range with most of mankind.

NT is much a result of pauline interference with the alleged original Jesus-movement.

As to religion being 'rammed down our throats' parts of the christianities have a violent history of 15 centuries of doing that. Are you feeling unjustly 'persecuted'?

Where to start your God tempt's you with heaven,

then he threaten's you with hell,

he tells you what to do and you end up hateing others, how is this good ?

This sounds like warfare to me with someone who thinks he is king of the world

and guess what we humans are copying the above, to become more like God.

I have been looking for a GOOD religion for years, found plenty of GOOD people

Religion is so much fun you can make stuff up and it is just as true as the other made up stuff -- then you can debate all of this made up stuff for ..... centuries

Perhaps YOU do, EM, and for that I am willing to give credit where credit is due as I don't recall seeing any of your posts in the religion forum; however, there are a regular lot who have made it their regular practice to troll around the religion forum to do EXACTLY that of which they purport to be a victim.

Hypocrisy leaves a bad taste in the mouths of all, irregardless of religious disposition.

My comment was directed towards atheists. You replied "our". You thereby identified yourself as an atheist.

And there lies the crux of my argument: An admitted atheist has taken it upon himself to correct my "doctrinal errors" concerning a God he doesn't believe in. Submitting oneself to religious indoctrination or ecclesiastical enightenment at the hands of an atheist would be somewhat like going down to the local mission boarding house to get investment/financial advice from one of the residents.

That's an assumption on your part as i don't believe Bogomil has expressed his position in regards to a deity.

And it's not just Atheists that have been persecuted, The non-religious have too. Don't forget Deists and Pantheists.
