If there's a gay on TV, turn the channel. What if there's a preacher on TV and I'm an atheist or what if the preacher is a christian and I'm a jew? I'll just turn the channel or I'll limit the channels my children can see. When I was young my mother didn't allow us to see anything with witches or occult or magic or etc. We couldn't even watch the Wizard of Oz. This kind of problem is easily solved if you're a respnsible parent. You want to enforce your views one everyone instead?

And you know you probably shouldn't isolate children too much from what's out there.

Pro Gay public awareness - - is wonderful and needed - in saying to young homosexuals "its OK to be who you are".

The younger school age kids need it more then anyone else. And not only the younger homosexuals - - but their straight friends in learning acceptance.

Even if we are exporting homosexuality from the west at the moment, it's only a matter of time before they can get it cheaper from China.

It's only a matter of time now before everyone is gay and we have a gay president and we have separate clothes for gays and there's even a gay language for inter-gay communication. In fact, all animals may one day become gay. I would expect that viruses become gay too and then in a billion years pollute another planet and cause everything there to be gay as well. Maybe the whole universe would become gay in a cascading effect like how roots of a tree spread around to suck the soil dry. And then everything will die because nothing can reproduce. Maybe if there's a god, if god isn't gay already and therefore unable to create, there will be a mention of this on the tombstone for this universe so that we will all be remembered and not forgotten.

You see it's a very slippery slope that we're on. If we're not careful, it'll destroy the universe.

If that is true then how come the vast majority of people are still heterosexual?

Maybe there seems to be more homosexuals today simply because we've become more understanding, considerate and tolerant.
Fortunately gay people no longer have to torture and presecute themselves whilst they deny their emotions and feelings or fear the repercussions of their actions like some horrible, perverted paedophile scum bag.

I personally don't like 'gay propoganda' being rammed down my throat, man and bible belt and all that, but what two, or more, consenting adults get up to in private is none of my concern at all, there is no gay conspiracy and I'm secure enough with my own sexuality not to give a toss about someone elses sexuality.

Also, keep this in mind....television is a relatively NEW concept, to us earthlings. It's only been around for a few generations...and look at the shape of our world. People are more interested in convictions than they are in gardening and farming. People spend more time doing NOTHING, when they should be doing something, other than what they're doing...which is NOTHING!

I'm surprised the Indians can say this. They of all people know gay behaviour was in their genes a loooong time ago. Its been prevalent in Indian history throughout the ages.

But to comment on all this brouhaha about gayness being learned and what not, I don't think its strictly a gene that forces people to love their own sex. Knowing the fluidity of sexual identity, I believe the gay gene is nothing more than more fluidity where sexuality is concerned. Therefore, people with this gene exhibit tendencies to sway more than your average person would. And all of the gay friends I've made over my life have proven that its a combination of factors, not wholely from birth, or totally a choice. Sometimes its a little of both.

Example: a friend of mine was a flaming gay guy, not one of those that looks manly and acts less femalish but the run of the mill sweet gay dude. When we talked about his early life, he remembers falling in love with a girl. Then his best friend tricks him and takes the girl for himself. Then my friend gets gang raped by a bunch of gangsters one night coming home from work. He was fully gay after that. Was that his choice? Not necessarily, but it affected his life and he can't help being attracted to men now. Heh

There is no gay agenda. There are just people that are so uncomfortable with the idea that their world view is not 100% correct and true that they need to make up crap to make themselves feel better. If you are uncomfortable with what your child is consuming via television, perhaps it is the parents fault for not monitoring their children's consumption of said media. The only thing the LGBT community is asking for is equality and that is it. Level the playing field. Until that happens, they will absolutely be in your face about getting those rights in place, as they should be.

I've got nothing against homosexual people, but I can tell you that the whole argument about not allowing gay-marriage being against human rights is kind of dumb.

Why?

Because if I dont allow myself, or my children such a thing, then I won't allow anyone else. Its not against human rights to ban gay marriage. Because its not something we disallow for them and allow for ourselves.
