This will be done in the name of terrorism but this will be used as liberally as police use tasers. This will be used on drunks, lechers, complainers, and the mentally ill -- anytime any crew member feels threatened.

A terrorist somewhere is smiling as we lose our freedom and continue to live in fear.

If I were a terrorist, I would take the simple route. Make an RF jammer and get hold of the technology. I'd see how it's built, "coded" and controlled, reverse engineer it (reverse engineered many times before and probably will many times again). Then, I would make a little device that could disable everyone on the plane except the pilots (hopefully the stewardess' would be wearing this junk) and me. There goes that device out the window. I am not suggesting that I would do this, simply that it can be done and anyone with a military strategy and a technical or hardware/software engineering background could probably figure this out, and there are a lot of us out there.

The real problem here, is that these @ssclown's in government, international banksters, monarchies, despots, etc. (pick the garbage of your choice) don't want to fix the problem, all they want to do is make new programs to spend tax payer money and feed it to their cronie buddies. Seriously, when the money dries up, it'll be bodily organs, sons and daughters.

Now here's a plan, government should make it so they are liked and respected by the majority of the citizens and the world, rather than being reviled, despised, hated and feared. But that makes too much sense, what I just proposed is the cure rather than the band-aid, but you sure as hell can't make money off cures. Ya gotta keep them suckers comin' back for more ;-)

Cheers - Dave

Perhaps what is going on is that the powers that be are working towards a future where in air travel is no longer available to the mass of the population. They are working towards a system of air travel being for the elite of the elite only. Only those who are rich enough and clever enough to own and fly there own private aircraft will be able to enjoy the convenience of air travel. Thus the majority of the population will either put up with massive inconvenience at the terminal or else be grounded. However, I notice from the article that the manufacturers of the "security bracelet" are thinking to force the entire population to wear such bracelets 24/7 universally. Ominous. Orwellian. As if we are not already living in a concentration camp planet, they want to tighten the thumb screws even more tightly. Money alone is prison enough. Perhaps the bracelet will be enforced by law such that anyone refusing to wear one will be automatically stuffed into a high security FEMA camp never to be seen or heard of ever again. This bracelet together with the implant micro chip is already having approval in government circles. I recently tried to buy a device to read pet micro chips only to discover that the UK government are now using the pet chips to tag humans, thus my application for a reading device was rejected. More and more we are being treated like as if we are just mere animals to them. They are paranoid about what little freedom we enjoy and thus are planning ways to rob us of our little freedoms until we are completely incarcerated by poverty and additional security measures like as this new "security bracelet" ?

And it's usually the fat, stupid moronic ones who freak out over a Lite-Brite display of Aqua Teen Hunger Force on an overpass in Boston, Mass who will happily accept this.

Something big needs to happen in 2012, because I just have no faith that the sheeple will ever stand up to anything. They will take it and they will wear it. They will stroke their chains and lick the boots that kick them because that's who they are. That's what they do.

If it is ever forced on me or my family, even though we don't fly, those bracelets will constantly be having "technical difficulties." I will, beforehand, find out how they are made, and from that information find out how they can be disabled. " Gee, I don't know what happened, we must have gotten a bad batch."

The only terrorists I see are those who make and distribute this garbage. Wait, maybe terrorist is too strong of a word. You can't terrorize people who are too stupid to recognize it for what it is.

I guess that TSA/DHS/SS figure if the flying public will take being x-rated and or sexually assaulted to get on a plane then the stupid cattle will accept a shock collar next. It seems the next appropriate step in the slavery of the American public to the corp-gov state control system.

If it is true, I bet we put up with it. We put up with TSA. We'll put up with anything.

I doubt his could ever be implemented due to the massive impact it would have on ticket sales (I would hope).

I know I for one would happily never fly again unless for a very serious emergency where time was a factor, if this was to come into place!

This is a case where the ends do not justify the means. There are too many factors that could cause unwanted or adverse effects. Of course this would probably make any terrorists think twice before flying, since they would not allow anyone on a plane who refused to wear one, but I think that they would find a way to circumvent the system.

First, who would be in control, and how would they know who was wearing what device in a hectic hijack attempt, and how would they guarantee that they would push the right button? I can't think of an effective method. Granted if they do implement this device, and people still choose to fly, there will probably be more innocent people injured or killed with these devices than the bad guys.

Lawsuits against the airlines will increase as well I bet. I can see the headline now: Malfunction Kills Mother on Flight. I understand their aim, I think, but like I said, this isn't justified as it does more to dehumanize than to prevent terrorism. And as was said earlier, this seems like something the governments of the World would love to have on all their citizens. Technology will be used against us in the future, even more than it is now.

When I read it would be used for immigration, my first thought was, are they going to put a bracelet on everyone in Mexico, and say "this is so you stay out of America?"

There won't be any lawsuits against the airlines or anyone else if something like this is implemented because Congress will enact a law granting immunity to the airlines, to the operators of these devices, and to the device manufacturers from any and all liability claims. Anyone who flies will be required to sign a release and informed consent form as a condition of purchasing their ticket.

Of course, this whole idea is nonsense. It will never be implemented. Not even the vast hoardes of "sheeple" would stand for it.

Wanna bet?

The dumbed down Kool-Aid drinkers are allowing strangers to fondle their junk. But I guess that's nothing compared to a dog collar.

sign me speechless.

That's because no-one is fondling their junk at home so they have to visit the airport to get some, albeit expensive (the price of an airline ticket, action.

If this is real.... Then come on! There is no way any sane person would go for this! Just hell no!

I say that but you just watch how quickly people let them put these bracelets on them.

What if they malfunctioned or something and just started shocking the hell out of everyone on board or something? :/

Nah, people would not go for that.... It's not humane...... So, let's go put them on innocent people trying to go on vacation, instead.... Makes perfect sense.

Hmmmmm...

"... If you don't submit to us completely.... you don't get to pay to use OUR aircraft..."

Would anyone honestly trust Cabin Crews with this kind of control...?

Rutger Hauer springs to mind, with an explosive collar on, which detonates if he strays too far from his 'partner',
or which can be remotely operated...

When is it a step too far???

Boycott Airtravel... ;-)

So now they want us to wear the tasers. I guess it was too much work for them doing it manually, so now they can do it using remote control. Don't like the coffee (if any is still served), ZAP, how do like it now bitch? The potential for misuse/abuse is obvious.

Seriously messed up. Is the ACLU dead? I used to vacation in the US a lot, now there's one more reason not to. If my boss wants to send me to a conference in the US I'll just say thanks but no thanks.

So now at least we know what animal the overlords think of us as:

Dogs. As in, these sound exactly like shock collars for dogs.
