In order to enhance the security of air travel and to help manage illegal immigration, the Department of Homeland Security has solicited a proposal from a Canadian security company to develop a passenger stun bracelet. Like the pain collars featured in the classic Star Trek episode The Gamesters of Triskelion, Lamperd Less Lethal's electro-muscular disruption (EMD) bracelet is intended to incapacitate wearers on remote command.

The patent details "[a] method of providing air travel security for passengers travelling via an aircraft comprises situating a remotely activatable electric shock device on each of the passengers in position to deliver a disabling electrical shock when activated."

"By further equipping the bracelet with EMD technology, the bracelets will allow crew members, using radio frequency transmitters, to quickly and effective subdue hijackers," the video explains. "The electro-muscular disruption signal overrides the attacker's central nervous system and will render even the most elite and aggressive terrorist completely immobile for several minutes."

The logic being used here is showing how stupid these folks really are...

For example, "The shock collar will incapacitate hijackers"

Excuse me, but do they think someone would willingly allow a shock collar to be put on them, only to then try and hijack the airplane afterwards?

The people coming up with these solutions are the ones that need some shock therapy ..

........... and the Jews got onto those trains and didn't fight back of their own freewill.


will we ever learn? doubt it - history is so dumbed down in schools these days we are doomed to repeat it and bloody soon in my opinion.

If morons keep getting into major fights on airlines like the one that happened on Virgin Air a few weeks ago then we have only ourselves to blame for stupid crap like this. That fight took 30 freaking minutes to end, I mean who are these morons?

Its always the minority that screws it up for the majority.

I don't blame the government for even thinking about stuff like this, I blame the morons.

Looks like I won't be flying then. or i'll bypass it. Never would I accept such a degradation of my humanity.

Lets see what happens. Im not convinced that some people wont think its a great idea. And if they do, I hope their ankle stun bracelet accidentally gets stuck in the on position while in the middle of an ocean somewhere, hours from the nearest airport.

Well as someone having been born with congenital heart disease, that device would probably kill me. As well as the other people with health problems...would they be able to opt out for safety concerns,or do we put our lives in the hands of a stewardess/steward? Wow very scary thought.

What if the hijackeer gets the control box? They just gave him total control over all his hostages. I am starting to think that a hijacker came up with this idea.
