The Fix For "Flash Mob" Robberies. (or) What is going on with black teens???

It is not just blacks that cant find work! I have a 21 year old middle class boy of my sister. who here in southeast MI, has not had a full time job since graduating high school. he is afraid of wasting his money on college, bso he is just going to community college for now to feel out the economy, and the world. but this guy wont steal, he has hade up to 3 job's at once, to pay for his habit's like gasoline and the newest brand of telaphone, but he know's stealing somthing get's you lawer fee's and court cost's,and maybe jail time it dont pay to be a thug unless you want the state to be your mommy and you prefer the compony, of your qwn sex then that of the other. and regardless what most black teen's say get rid of your attatude, the baggy pant's that hang to your nothing so you have to keep pulling them up and just maybe you will be at the right place at the right time ,remember your not Rockefeller just yet and black white hispanic has nothing to to with anything

Point is that these so called unemployed probably weren't the 'JOB" type anyway.

I recently read about a WHITE man robbing a bank for a dollar,so he could get state funded insurance. We are living in dangerous,tough times,wouldn't you say?

I never said Whites don't commit crimes. I'm just tired of the LAME excuse everyone uses to defend crimes that Blacks commit because they're from the "INNER CITY". So do you think it seems acceptable to everyone because they come from a ghetto or is it just accepted behavior and what's expected because of where they come from?

I lived hard too. Not justifying the INSANITY, in ANY way. Just giving a reason,thats all. The black community has MANY problems,but when it spills over into white CORPORATE owned businesses,and it doesnt deal with drugs,or black on black crime,you dont hear a peep.RIGHT? Inner city community leaders,and business have to get together,and stop it. I would rather have those entity's maybe talk about giving out jobs,to the youth of the inner citys. I was just there in Chicago, on the Mag Mile, at that Walgreens. The valet at my hotel told me to be careful walking on the Mag Mile as attacks on people was on the rise. I didn't have a problem though...probably thanks to Chicago PD putting 650 police officers on the street beat. There were police EVERYWHERE.

My whole response was about the INNER CITY YOUTHS. My response was "before" yours,but you so happily interjected "YOUR" reasoning,your opinion to mine. Please DONT. If you want to debate social issues,on INNER CITY youths,and why this is happening,we can. You do know its NOT suburban BLACK youths doing this,right? Theres alot of unemployed people out there. Lots of people living check to check. My reasoning behind this isnt to stick up for ANY thief. Just giving a reason on why THIS may be happening.

Why is it that straight out murder is the first conclusion that most of you come to? Some of you are actually calling for murder...It seems like that's a little harsh of a punishment simply for shoplifting. And you consider yourselves to be civilized and above. Laughable.

UPPER DARBY — A mob of about 40 people stormed into the Sears department store on 69th Street Thursday, and in a flash stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, officials said.
Police were able to round up 15 juveniles and one adult, 19, all from West Philadelphia.

There have been plenty more examples lately in the news.
The fix is, as soon as have the employees realize this is happening a "panic" button is hit and immediately those roll up style gates, like stores in the mall have, drop down and lock in place.

any other doorway is electronically locked as well. The metal gates would also cover the windows so it wouldn't matter if the teens broke the windows, they could not get away.
As this is happening the employees run to a secure back office and lock themselves in until authorities arrive.

This would need to be practiced as a fire drill until the employees perform like a well oiled military unit. The assailants would not know what happened until it is too late.
After word spread that stores were protecting themselves this way these types of attacks would stop.

this wont work think about it what if it was your group and you read this you would deside to send a few in and round up the employies possibly becomming even more agressive before everyone came in.also if their was 50 people I think they could tear that gate right off no problem or even simpler whats to stop them from putting something under the gate so it cant close. Also I agree with one of the other posters it wont just be blacks for long everyone is felling the pinch( witch is more like a stabing pain everywhere).

To be fair, it's not right to assume they are all doing this because they are base criminals. You can sell watches, gadgets and clothes. Some may well be doing this for the cash so they can survive more comfortably. Of course, some may well be doing it for cash to buy drugs, or for some other reason. But you can't assume none are hard pressed for money.

I think the stores should incorporate a mechanism that will allow the clerks to press an "oil button" when the flash mob arrives. When the button is pressed, oil will be squirted all over the floor, so the shoplifters will slip and slide all over the place. Then, a huge door will open and an army of clowns will come out, armed with pies.
(The clowns will be wearing non-slippery shoes, so they won't slip) The clowns will launch a
"pie assault", hitting the shoplifters in the face repeatedly with pies. That would be funny.
Also, the flash mob will think twice about their misdeeds, and maybe "straighten up and fly right", as it were.
