Hairless talking monkeys with their lame ass physics and primitive logic think they can explain the cosmos with words.

The analogy of trying to explain how to play 7 card stud to a bunch of pigs is so appropriate.

Skepticism based in ignorance isn't skepticism. It's intellectual masturbation coupled with elitist anthropomorphism.

Just have to reply to this. You put it into words I'd never be able to, cutting right to the point where as I'd try to spin and turn to fit everyone's point of view. Spectacularly written and a jolly good reasoning.

In this day and age, anyone can look smart with a suit and tie yet the fella you pass on the streets whether asking for change or just heading to work, could be as equally smart but overlooked because the one with the suit is the eye candy. My point being: the.. 'fanaticism' is taking on a whole new genre this generation hence why some saw Virgin Mary because they blindly, without a second thought, see nothing but the One they worship on hands and knees.

We have evolved, but it is has been very, very slow. Beneath the show piece, we still have so much more to go before we start thinking about the future rather then succumbing to the addiction of power.

its all specualtion on this site for the moment sadly.

That's why the main point comes down to : Why doesn't the government open up the UFO files to the public? (the main answer being: That would mean releasing military information!)

My answer being : Ofcoarse they want all the UFO technology for themselves! Why let the public know anything?

However: There was that UFO's in South America video recently... they released strange videos. They admit SOMETHING is going on in our skies.

I know i saw one. And i'm not the only one.

not by a long shot.

To add further on my views: I understand why people don't WANT to believe. It means taking away your ego. You thought you were the dominant species in the universe, so a more advanced culture with silent hovering spaceships scares you at first.

I believe it is the same mentality for people who criticize people like Alex Jones, Drudge Report, New Media, New World Order, ect.

They just don't want to believe that something that earth changing had been hidden from them most of their lives. So they call you a cult member and conspiracy theorist for it.

Furthermore, I'm not even concerned about UFO's / Aliens because if there is a culture that advanced, they could f*** us up whenever they wanted so don't worry.

What we need to be worried about now more than ever is our own culture and the sanity of it. And the American people need to focus on getting Ron Paul elected so we can begin to straighten thing out in North America at least (I believe the entire world would then start in a better direction)

so go to infowars and prisonplanet

and if you want to hear people who think they know about aliens : look up Project Camelot on youtube. ..

I can't tell you forsure if any of that stuff is true, but either way, it's the most entertaining thing out there.

And for my final post in this Hater/Sceptic/Denial thread :

When you count up all the UFO reports online... it's really just stupid numbers.

People that believe, don't care if ignorant skeptics don't believe, because IMO a mass awakening to things will come soon whether people will like it or not. We're generally not crazy tin-foil hat waring freaks, We just try to get the message out to you for your own benefit.

But again, I realise that anything I just wrote makes me a conspiracy theorist; so let's agree to disagree.

People will either wake up to things, or die of stupidity.

The fact that people seem to believe that when aliens come everything will turn into a paradise,

That's the most hilarious part about all of this. People just blindly believe in their benevolence. We don't have one shred of scholarly text about who or what they even are. With the exception of one source, that most likely tells us exactly what they are. Oh but no one wants to hear that. I know they exist just like the rest of the paranormal. Now you see me, now you don't.

One personality, using many avenues, to mind flock mankind. the paranormal ! TRUTH !

I agree with what you say for the most part but I still believe that extraterrestrials are visiting us for a couple of compelling reasons in my mind. First my boss at work is a very credible witness due to knowing he is a no nonsense stand up type of guy. I got talking about aliens one day at work and he told me he believes in them wholeheartedly because hes seen a ufo that was hovering for about 15 min over a pond where he lived. It then flew near him, so close in fact that he said he could have thrown a rock at it. It had a shape of a stingray(the fish not the car). It then took off at a super speed like you hear most ufos doand made no noise whatsoever. I know this is not proof but when you hear this stuff from someone you can trust you tend to believe it yourself.

The second thing that really has me believing is the documentary of the 62 children in Zimbabwe that have actually seen aliens. What makes it so compelling is the fact that kids are horrible actors and liars. I really cant stand any movie with a kid in it just for this fact. But these kids you can tell are sincere and even though it's still not proof I give it more credit than anything else.

I'm still not 100% and I share your dismay at those that tarnish the subject but theres enough out thereto keep me interested.

If you are becoming a skeptic, it's your own fault. Why are you focusing on the most obnoxious theories, the most annoying researchers, and obviously ludicrous cases?

There are plenty of excellent researchers. You don't even mention Stanton Friedman. What is he.. chopped liver?

There are excellent cases with loads of evidence - focus on these, instead of the ridiculous. If you do your UFO research solely on conspiracy boards and youtube, no wonder you are disappointed.

Great video. It seems like no matter how many witnesses you show to people, they just call them all crazy.

On a note for believers: many say the eyes are the scariest part. I believe this is because they're reading your thoughts, and because their thoughts are so much more complex.

You're absolutely 100% correct on that.

See just because you see a U.F.O. dosn't mean it's our benevolent space bros. come to save us from our own dumb asses, just in the nick of time. I realise we need it, but is that what should happen?

I've seen five different kinds on five different occassions. Even snapped a photo of one without knowing it til I blew the pic up on the puda. The last thing I would do, is change what I truly believe they are, just because I got to see one.

Those kids in the video could be lying. I 'm almost positive they arn't. But just because they saw something, dosn't mean anyone knows what they saw.

I agree with OneLife, FireMoon puts it into perspective very nicely...

I would only throw out one piece of conjecture to chew on...

Advanced technology might have the ability to manipulate time in some way...
If this is indeed the case, it would explain the age-old thoroughness of thier ability to edit history.
Nothing passing a certain threshold of societal acceptance toward the paranormal/alien, would be allowed to go forward... It would get edited/watered down..

If the possibility of that on some biological alien conscious being, you could probably say that about God Himself too! If you place a being on a pedestal, so can God!

I think aliens cannot do everything in the universe. Come on now, they cannot stop a black hole for example. The only way they can distort time is going through space

Welcome to the other side TheLogicalist!

Many of us 'skeptics' were exactly the same as you at some point in the past. Then comes a day when you just can't suspend that disbelief any more. Especially when the field of study is littered with liars, profiteers, cults, highly gullible believers and delusional personalities. UFO's should be the topic of science... not faith... but that's how it's become.

Personally, I'm not skeptical of the phenomena itself... I'm skeptical of people.

Interesting thread !

Skepticism

Skepticism (or scepticism) has many definitions, but generally refers to any questioning attitude of knowledge, facts, or opinions/beliefs stated as facts, or doubt regarding claims that are taken for granted elsewhere.

en.wikipedia.org...

I am a believer. I believe in extraterrestrial life and I believe that we have been and still are visited. A very personal belief for very personal reasons. But I am a skeptic. Or I should say that, like you OP, I became a skeptic.

Everyone should read that external quote above carefully. It is just pure common sense. I have that exact attitude. And I would bet that this is the attitude that the OP has acquired as well. If I read right.

Ufology

Ufology is a neologism coined to describe the collective efforts of those who study reports and associated evidence of unidentified flying objects (UFOs). UFOs have been subject to various investigations over the years by governments, independent groups, and scientists.

Yes lots of people make money off of books, I personally do not trust the words of people who want to sell things. I do respect the opinion of non profit researches who take a non-biased approach such as NARCAP.

As long as they aren't falsely coming to the conclusion of alien visitation.

The only "proof" that can be presented if any are the testimonies of people who have been in contact with them. The only physicaly compelling evidence I have ever seen are implants that have been extracted from people (a old friend of mine had one of these) that emit a strong electromagnetic field.

Is it possible they're magnetized pieces of metal?

My experience as a child is not really reliable I know. it is just something that makes me believe since no one else experienced it I cannot profess it as fact.

I can accept that as an answer. It's a belief, you know it is only a belief in faith, that's good.
