Seems to be a thread more for antireligious rants and just ranting in general. The levels of irrational rancor and illogical slogan spewing suggests it.

Holly bat # bat man. People arguing about circumcision wow.....From my understanding the practice started because in such places were sand gets into everything and the people are to lazy or don't have the water to waste on cleaning there junk of smegma, well they did the whole circumcision thing so that they wouldn't have to clean it.

Other then that I think its a fad, and the chicks like it because its supposed to deeded the senses on the the head and prolong sex or something.

And according to wiki the Egyptians were the first to do the whole circumcision thing, and apparently they did it to prove there coming of age and that they can stand the pain. After that it became a fad, and religion got involved, and all that other stuff that humans do when a fad becomes widespread and popular, but its mainly among desert peoples.

So ya originally i think it has to do with the sand getting in there and them being to lazy to clean there junk, or not having the water necessary to clean it of smegma build up when needed, and considering that stuff take a while to build up. That means they probably cleaned it at least once every couple of months to once a year or couple of years before they started doing the circumcision thing.

The stuff is hilarious.... the translation on the oldest documentary evidence of circumcision, I take it that in those times with there obsidian scalpels it would be a procedure that would not be very sanitary, but I doubt it would be all that painful.

Mass circumcision eh, luckily whoever did it did not slip with the knife, and cause any unintentional scratching on the sensitive part. That # is hilarious reading it how they did it back then to pass there rite of passage and become real men, or whatever.

But it would of been perfectly normal for a bunch of dudes back then. Going trough whatever weird rite of passage thing and bragging that he did not faint. I take it Uha was a real manly man, so much so that he brags about it and decides to put it in writing, for us to read thousands of years latter to see how brave he was.

As a woman, I thank God for circumcision.

About smell, men and women both suffer from smelly genitals if they don't practice good hygiene. If you ever met a guy who had a smell it's because he doesn't take care of himself.

About the cosmetic, which is probably the real issue with you: How would you react if a guy told you he couldn't be with you unless you had your genitals made more presentable cosmetically? Probably tell him to take a hike right?

It's sad to me that there are so many shallow women around. What would you do if you fell in love with a guy and found out he wasn't circumcised and had no intention of having it done? I suppose that's an old fashioned kind of question considering people don't fall in love before having sex anymore.

Ok, wow! I am Australian and I am Anglican (though I am actually Agnostic) I was raised Catholic and I have never met a jew. I am also circumcized and happy for it. In Australia it is a matter of personal choice and has nothing to do with religion. It is incredibly common in Australia despite the fact that jews are not. I think an issue with the procedure is (or rather having an issue with it) is more a matter of perspective then religious intolerance. Jews and 'the cut' are not mutually exclusive. And for the record i think it is a very sensible procedure to have performed. I also think that way too many minority groups are way too quick to cry 'RACIST!' and should perhaps inquire as to thier own motivations. White people or 'Anglo's' and racisim are also not mutually exclusive. Stop hogging being a victim, we all get picked on.

Jesus Christ.. it's not a double standard. Female circumcision removes an entire organ that has a function. Foreskin is a useless part of an organ. I'm sure some of you enjoy smegma and your conehead play thing, but I'm glad my "barbaric" and "abusive" parents had me cut. The glans are a wonderful thing.

You are wrong. The forskin is not useless, it has a function, several in fact. If you realised how much skin you were missing - about 4 square inches of the most sensitive skin on your entire body, gone. And without it your penis does not function in a natural way. And what should be a moist pink gland turns dry and is less sensative. You don't know what you are missing. If you did you would be reall mad with your folks!

You're absolutely correct, my kid would never complain like that because where I am from the majority of people are not routinely circumcised as it's recognised as what it is; barbarism.

In fact, in America, only 33% of boys still undergo circumcision[1], making your potential circumcised child a minority. So much for being like all the others in the locker room.

Go out and as some females whether they prefer men cut or uncut.

Goathief, my good man, you are missing the point (no pun intended). The difference is, because plenty of sensitive nerve endings have been removed, the finely cut man, in contrast with the uncircumcised heathen, lasts longer inside the poonani. If you are able to pound the kitty hard for several minutes before disseminating your seed, I am able to punch kittens all day long before my tadpoles finally start swimming upstream.

By that logic, maybe if you would put a bit of acid on the glans, your child will last even longer, due to less sensitivity.

The bottom line is, the boy decide when he grows up enough to understand the decision. Plenty of people consider less sensitivity to be a negative, and your child may be one of them. There are men that disagree with being circumcised as a child, there were some in this thread, too. On the other hand, I have yet to hear about someone complaining that he is not circumcised, because it is no problem to get it done for these people, if they want to.

I don't know where you got that fact, maybe some were, but my Father was a WWII veteran who spent 4 years in the European theatre according to my Mom was intact. Also according to her so is my Brother, so her and my Father was very pleased that I did not have my son cut.
You guys with the "girls like it better cut" you all must be young, because when dick gets hard you can hardly tell the difference, if you can at all. You do realize when an uncirced dick gets hard the foreskin pulls back. I am glad my son has great self esteem, if a girl don't like his uncirced dick he tells them hit the road. Which only happened once and she came back. On the other hand since many guys are cut, he has had girls come by to see "one" that wasn't so he proudly showed them his intactness, both soft and hard. I would leave for work girls be waiting, sometimes more than one, one lady older than me. So you know what guys if they don't like it at first, they can get over it.

You're wrong. Female circumcision removes the clitoral hood not the clitoris itself which is the "entire organ" The clitoral hood is directly analogous to foreskin. The clitoris itself is even almost identical to a penis except smaller.

What you're talking about, removal of the clitoris is genital mutilation, not circumcision. Getting the two confused makes about as much sense as comparing male circumcision to castration.

The foreskin is an important and complex part of the of the penis skin system. It is not a vestigial organ. The human foreskin is the product of millions of years of evolutionary refinement. It is there for a reason.

Hi~just checking in. No, I haven't read about the jews and the bee in their bonnet re male mutilation, because the perversions of their tribe are of no interest to me.

I'm here to say that I have it on high authority: Leave your children's members alone. They are your offspring, not your personal biology experimentation project.

If your parents managed to protect you from this religious plague, then thank God. It is better this way. Also, we have a thing called running water, and soap, so all their arguments are , like them, insane.

OP, this in no way even compares to female mutilation. I guess you are unaware that when they do that to women, it is to remove all the pleasure from women, ALL FOREVER. You probably don't know this, because most men have no clue what arouses women.
Men on the other hand are still quite capable of experiencing pleasure. Circumcision is not performed on men to control them, it is however done to women for that reason, makes me ill...stupid backwards people.

But okey, just in the same spirit as the misinformers and the pro-circumcision crowd in this thread, I'll add my two €uro-cents:

Circumcision by tradition and for other pure religious reasons in the prude United States was probably done to disencourage masturbation, which, of course, didn't help.

The very religious American dr. Kellog recommended circumsising in the fifties for American boys, and this is probably the real reason for keeping the tradition alive, making masturbating less easy.

Oh! and for reasons to support the Oil/Lube industry and lube corporations and Big Oil.

Because lube is made of oil products - and millions and millions of circumsised boys obviously need plenty of lube to FAP!

(uncut guys don't need lube - the natural (extra) skin make that unnecessary! no extra lube needed)

And btw, when an uncircumsized penis gets erect, the skin gets drawn back and forth as you like naturally, and it doesn't stay fully 'hooded' during sex/masturbation.



And I thank God for all the sane, beautiful & gorgeous women in Europe, and all sane women elsewhere in the world who doesn't freak out and run away hysterically when they meet a 100% natural and uncut guy (as God created him)

It's almost laughable, really, and yes, it IS a conspiracy. I have to be truthful here. There was a time in my exposure to this subject wherein I actually did not know which way I would decide, when it came time, for my children. Then it just became clear, a slam dunk with a couple of thousand of years of weight of religious dogma removed, so you simply soar above the rim. Just breed the hot chicks right out of existence, who are revolted by a natural penis . Not when it gets to the point that you brecome really sore.

Hopefully if the law doesn't act, insurance companies will and stop covering circumcision. So if parents want to done they will have to pay the $4000 out of pocket to get it done. Hopefully as well doctors will realize that doing non-necessary circumcision is a violation of their Hippocratic oath.
