Here's a hypothetical story involving a Female seal
An elite crack Delta 6 seals squad, sent into the Colombian jungles to assassinate a drug lord. They sneak up to his/her (it could be a femme fa·tale drug lord lol) outpost in the jungle and watch the drug lord including his/her loyal guards for several days. Now when the perfect time comes to strike and breach the compounds door Mr blue stands across from Ms Pink. Ms Pinks jungle fatigues are ripped and her pert breasts are just staring in Mr blue's face the signal is given he trips up from the momentary distraction and the flash-bang hes clutching goes off in his hand the guards hear the commotion and the loud bang and open up with fully automatic precision fire. When the brass at the pentagon goes over the notes of the failed top secret op and realize its all because a nip slip they /facepalm.
Not to mention almost all males from an elite force such as delta 6 wouldn't even consider a female next to them on a serious combat mission. Id suggest sticking to being spy's and let the boy's play in the sand.

There has been some talk here in Australia recently about allowing women to apply for the Special Air Service Regiment, and whether a bill should be passed to allow them to.
My response, to my parents, with my dad being a Vietnam Vet, was hell, let em have a go. If they can be one of the ones that are part of the 6% pass rate, then go right ahead. Would be interesting to see a woman complete a 42 mile pack march in less than 18 hours, after 6 weeks of courses and no sleep.
Rip it up ladies!

I don't understand why this door is still closed. If a woman can pass the test. She should be allowed in. Period.
The speaker in the article states that they have to be very, very careful about implementing women into the special forces. What is it that you have to be so careful about?
Women may not have the arm strength of men, but they have the leg strength, generally have better aim and targeting skills, and pay more attention to detail and can read social cues. There are many benefts that can outway physical prowess in that setting.
Now I know that special ops is brutal. I know that the testing to be a Navy Seal is obscene. So if a woman wants to try out, and passes, I can't see a reason to not let her participate.

Women are allowed to join the military and Navy in Canada.
Also, why don't you just live in Canada, anyways? Who needs a strong military force when A. Nobody hates you based on your nationality and B. You don't use 'troops' to trample over foreign countries to support corporate agendas....
...?

It is true that women cant join because of fitness concerns and it is a genuine concern, but on the other hand 99.9% of all men in america cant join because they are not physicaly fit either ,so dont feel too bad
one thing, if you are captured abroad, whos more likely to get horrifically raped, you or a male ? Seems obvious to me ?

I dont want to be rude.
But if you want to start talking about pain, im going to play the rape card again....... I find it hard to believe a male soldier would be gang raped by a bunch of beefy men, unless they were all gay ? i dont think so.
