Thanks, I'll take that as a no.

The advertising in bus stop shelters should somewhat reflect the demographics of the immediate area. For example back in the 70's I lived in a YMCA (all male boarders). There was a gay bar across the street so this add would have been apropos there. On the other hand if this was a bus stop in front of a kindergarten somewhere maybe a big bird dressed in feathers would go over better.

Because advertisers believe that it's what the viewing public wants to see. IMO, they're quite wrong, but there are sufficient not-too-bright teens and 20-somethings who do want to see it.
Like it or not, and you obviously don't, the vast majority of the worlds' population are heterosexual.
(From what I have seen on TV recently, gays are vastly over-represented as characters, especially on soaps.)

That's exactly it, homosexuals and their apologists don't get the concept of love outside of a sexual context, which is really sad! In everyday life, most love is actually not sexual (parent-child, at least in sane relationships!), siblings, friends (yes, there is such a thing as platonic friendships), extended family...

So christian 'messages' of various types are unsuitable in very secular areas. It may hurt some non-theist eyes to see it. And ofcourse we must protect children from seeing people nailed to a cross, they could be zombified.

We're talking censorship, and christian homophobes or OT fanatics don't have any special privileges to target a minority group by practically interfering.

Yes who exactly have I defamed ? Let the accuser come forward to explain how I've hurt his or here feelings with mere words, obviously my words are far more powerful than this individuals' or groups' constitution.

I the victim a child or someone with learning difficulties perhaps ? This would be a different matter as I would not knowingly enter into such a robust dialogue with members of these groups as their mental maturity could indeed allow their feelings to be hurt.

So, defamation aside would you care to address the post in question ?

Hm, you've engaged my grey matter there,
As a parent I wouldn't entertain the thought of putting up pictures of women being burned on a bonfire or children being smashed against rocks for my small children to absorb, regardless what those images meant to me.

On many an occasions over here public information films for road safety etc have been removed from air because they may emotionally upset young children.

However it is quite normal bombard little minds with images of a man being tortured to death, when we look at these kids when they have grown up what do we see ?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but probably the most violent societies on the planet ?

I recently (yet again) had to attend my now 13 sons' school regarding his "behavior" and "attitude" the teaching staff had a huge problem with him drawing a swastika on a paper plane (he didn't actually do it but had taken up the cause for his friend who was less willing to challenge)

By the time I got the school the matter had been resolved as my son had gone toe to toe with a teacher that happens to be of the religious bent.
My son had insisted that if he were to be chastised for drawing a swastika which to some is a religious symbol and according to the teacher ,may hurt someones feeling, Then the posters in the RE classroom that depict a man being tortured to death should also be removed and whoever put them up suffer the same punishment as my son.

Cutting through all the verbal ornamentation, this form of christianity is: RELIGIOUS FASCISM.

Profiling itself as the (presently) arch-enemy of democratic principles. The person on the street is not allowed to choose for him/herself, but must submit to christian claims of self-proclaimed superiority.

Sugarcoat this, christian missionaries, or start the character defamation game, so you can 'justify' YOUR targeting of homosexuals, and 'justify', that YOU are the slighted and persecuted part, because you're not allowed to target on homosexuals.

I hope, I without hypocracy, can join this direction.

But just for the record:

I assume, that the topic is 'targeting homosexuals through use of extra-parliamentary methods'?

Naturally I accept alternative definitions of topic coming from ATS admin, but I want to be sure of, what they are then. I've only had a few of my posts removed from being off-topic, and I want it to stay that way.

I will add, that 'christians' ought to have been 'some christians' in the title.
