A great many of them were refugees, they had no say over anything. They were at the mercy of British and American and French public opinion. That the Zionists had been actively encouraging the same outcome is a seperate issue.

2 issues:
1. The Zionist influence via the Balfour declaration
2. The Homeless refugees, which captured the public sympathy

I do not believe the state of Isreal could have been created without both of these 2 factors. Jews had been moving into Palestine for several decades already, but they need the overwhelming public sympathy to force the creation of a state.

Have you hear backinblack or myself condone the actions of the U.S military in Afghanistan and Iraq. Have you heard backinblack or myself condone the actions of Australia and the U.S in Vietnam. No, we tend to be anti-War and I find it dispicable that Australian(to a lesser extent) and American history is laced with so much unjust killing. You are only reverbarating such statements in order to deflect argument and focus on the atrocities of another state. However we are debating Israel-Palestine not the Vietnam war.
