I carry the Kershaw too. This is the 1660 made in the good ole USA. It has THE BEST action for one handed operation as this video shows. I like that the clip is reversable so you can set it up for easy pull from your pocket it is clipped into and a flip so fast it almost seems illegal.

You can also remove the little slide that locks the blade shut as it is not really useful.

This thing is RAZER sharp and I like the all metal aspect of it because it is a thinner footprint for your pocket.

I give it a 9 out of 10 only because I whish it had a slight knurl on the exterior case for better grip.

What on earth do you walk around carrying a knife for? Are you really that scared you have to carry a weapon with you all the time?

I personally find that most people that carry weapons around are just scared little cowards, same as those that carry guns all the time, just afraid, then feel "MANLY" because they have a weapon to back up their big mouths

If you need to carry a weapon with you all the time, you really need to look at your life style seriously

Wow! I use my knife daily to cut my food into 'CIVILIZED' pieces... which is more than I can say for some comments here. Why is someone scared because they prepare? Is a person scared when they put a 15 foot wall of dirt and sand around their home when they realized floods were coming? With your logic you would have called them scared or ignorant... that is up until the moment the floods came and swept all the other homes away! So it is with a knife.

It is a tool! nothing more unless one has bad motives in carrying one or unless the real person scared is the one who does not understand its useful 1001 uses and feels the need to put others down for being usefully prepared.

I keep a knife in my pocket because if you ask ANY fireman/paramedic etc often times people in car accidents end up not being UNBELT their seat belt. a good knife will get you out or a loved one.

Another great reason for a pocket knife is about 1000 other useful things you need to use it for like removing an unwanted string of your clothes or family members. In an emergency situation it can be helpful in tearing open a pant leg to reveal a bad open wound that needs instant care.

Security incase you are being approached by someone with possible bad intentions is PRICELESS. Id love to see you belittle that when someone comes to your aid with a blade keeping you from harm yourself...

The Leak is the best pocket knife I have ever used. You simply cannot make the blade go dull.

I collect blades and really wish I could carry certain ones outside...like my Blade sword, complete with scabbard....but the law might frown upon that so I carry a stiletto between my breasts and a small serrated folding knife in my pants pocket.

On my knife wishlist....a WASP knife

I have been collecting knives since I was of 9 years of age, and currently have over 500.
My everyday carry is the Cold Steel Spartan.
I am 6'4", 255lbs and have larger hands so the knife fits me well.

This is what it looks like. This is not my picture.

In nature hiking or so, I carry a machete..and if things would get ugly that would be my choise also. But in Finland its illegal to carry a blade more than 2,5cm long(in right hands that would be just enough). In rough times I would carry also an army type of knife and a smaller that I could keep well hidden in my palm just to get close to the enemy without alerting him.. (that 2,5cm would do just fine)

For those that think knives are just weapons... go back to grade school, learn about early man, and get back to us on that once you're up to speed.

No place for them in today's society? What planet are you from? Nerf?

The knife has been our friend longer than recorded history has been around. In all that time it hasn't been lost in antiquity or failed us enough to be forgotten about, only enough to be improved upon. How many other innovations can we say that about?

Buck Strider

Best pocket folder I've ever owned.

ATS-34 blade. Tanto tip, textured grip, ambidex furniture, thumb grip...

but I'm in the market for a new everyday blade.

I don't carry anything during the week because we have a no knives policy at work (don't judge), but on the weekends I carry a Gerber Pro Scout Multi-Plier full time.

And it's a tool. Not a weapon.

I bought one of these at wal-mart a couple of months ago...seems to be a decent knife so far.

Not really built for gutting fish, but works well for everything else I've used it for so far.

Don't laugh, but I almost always carry a Leatherman Squirt ES4. It's one of the handiest tools I own. Worn out one already. I have a full size old Leatherman that I use about once a year.

princedreamer is truly living in a dream world.

I don't know where the hell YOU live but around here, you pretty much need some type of a weapon to protect yourself.

I have people follow me (guys) and when I refuse their advances, some can get pretty belligerent and violent. I have yet to purchase a weapon and am lucky I have not been seriously harmed. (I was almost kidnapped on 2 occasions though, as a youth.)

I'm getting ready to take some gun courses and the range and will be buying a gun. I would like a knife. I'd rather use a knife for close range if it ever comes to that. (I would rather get shot than stabbed. I always thought knives were more painful and caused more damage.)

Don't assume because someone owns a weapon they are paranoid or scared. If you have zero fear in you, there is seriously something wrong with you. It's human nature to have some fear.

I'm sure the thousands of men/women who have been attacked, kidnapped, raped would have loved to have a knife on them for a surprise counter attack. Some are dead so can not speak to tell you.

Around here, people get shot for looking at someone the wrong way. A lot of crazies out there.

So please, wake up for your DREAM, dreamer, and smell the coffee.

I have carried a folding 5" Buck Knife of one sort or another, and it has been all over the world with me. It for me is just a tool, as I live in the country, like a hammer. However I have always carried a K-Bar in the pocket of the drivers door of my vehicles. It was a suviener of my days in the Jungles in VN. To the person who held up his nose at the thought of someone carrying one for protection, just a thought for you. Thirty years ago I had my family down in LA on vacation, and the six of us were accousted by the local rhoads scholars, in an attempted car jacking robbery. I had a SW .357 but it was under my shirt and seat belt, so I couldnt get to it, but I could and did get at the knife, and was able to despense with the threat, and protect my family. So I figure it is better to have a weapon at hand and not need it for fifty years, than to need it once, and you and your family end up dead because of some misguided sympathies.

Why would anyone carry a knife around? I guess only in the USA, next to your guns.

I disarm people with wit and humor. No need for knives.

No one ever wins a knife fight. Don't get me wrong. I OWN a sword - an original 1930's British Naval Dress Uniform Wilkinson Sword inherited from my grandfather, but would NEVER think about carrying it around.

Dont see the point in carrying a "weapon"

If you are carrying a knife and someone attacks you....you have to be prepared to use it....and be prepared for the consequences...ie: They disarm you and now have the knife....not good.

I personally believe your asking for trouble if you carry a knife. ( in the UK definitely )

Its got to be an American thing...this whole needing a weapon all of the time for protection against terrorists, muggers, rapists etc. Why soooooo much fear?????

A nation full of hate and fear....spreading your hate and fear everywhere....not nice

( i dont dislike American people per say....i dislike some of the things they do )
