i thought that the 13th sign showed a man with a snake across his shoulders and not a skull ,thinking about it the snake in the garden of eden is the symbol of the devil so please do not unite these skulls.

Apparently this only happens in crystalline structure that have no axial symmetry.

I don't buy the lore and legend of the skulls being brought together to blow the planet up. Any more then Excalibur turning mortal in to he man. The only skull out of the 12, now 13 that seems other worldly is the Hedges skull. Nor do i buy the story that it was made this century by hucksters and to just have it sold at some swap meet for no purpose. The others seem like knock off's in detail and were probably made in it's likeness. Maybe they are not but they lack the defenition that the hedges skull has. All though they have many anomalies im somewhat on the fence about who made them. I think maybe some tribe with superstition as a driving inspiration created the other skulls and invented the doom story. I think either Aliens or an advanced civilization more advanced then we are today made the hedges skull and the rest are man made. That sounds crazy but it makes more sense then the other explanations to me. I think multidimensional ET's as we understand them to be wanted to send a message in the skull to be deciphered once we have the technology to do so. So we have reached our bench mark and are advanced enough to be worthy of whatever the data may be. Debunkers like to use the other skulls "chiseled" by man to discredit the Hedges skull because they cant debunk the Hedges skull. It really is the Rosetta stone of our time. I want to know what is in that skulls head!

I have seen this reasoning many times over the years and it doesn't hold water for me as simply by looking at the good skulls it is obvious that tools were used in their manufacture, to say this is indicative of a modern date of creation for the skulls ignores the possibilities that either we had such tools before the present era and were able to make such items before the fall or that the skulls were gifted to us by aliens who had access to advanced tools, obviously.

As both of my above reasons fit the various mythos and lore about the skulls I think they are more valid than simply saying "ah we have evidence of tooling therefore these are modern fakes" as obviously they were made with tools capable of making a skull, that's the mystery part!!

Strange also that there are so many of the skulls so as to create confusion.

For now, it’s just a much loved fable, a legend. Start worrying when all of a sudden you hear that the skulls are being stolen from their keepers.

The British Museum lists theirs as being most likely 19th century European.

Hell, they even bothered studying the thing to find tool marks:
