No, dealing drugs gives the police probable cause to get a search warrant and search your house for illegal drugs.

When the police execute the search warrant and you are standing in the hallway with a rifle and do not drop it, that gives the police officers the right to shoot.

Maybe that is how SEAL teams are trained, behind mask and helmets in various SWAT teams.

I think your estimation of how much criminals stage a home invasion by claiming they are police is overestimated. If it was such a common occurrance, the police would have changed their tactics to identify themselves. Because it is not such a common occurrance, the police have not.

it's fairly common:
police impersonators arrested after home invasion: may 1, 2011
man dressed as police officer arrested in home invasion march 3, 2009
police impersonators sought after home invasion september 21 2010
sheriffs office makes arrests after series of home invasions may 10 2011
men dressed as police invade home june 28 2007

and those are just a few instances(on page 1, google) where this has happened. it's a common practice among the slicker criminals.

but back to topic: pima swat trained medically as well

i't's true in many of the jobs as security, police, executive protection etc....from basic first aid to state provided or CPS certified people, if you're trained to, at most, take a life or apply deadly force, you're likewise trained to save one.

the hell there isn't. if somebody does that to my home I WILL shoot. and it's not gonna be with a dinky .223 AR-15 either.

The whole article sounds fishy...put yourself in the cops shoes....they were probably following orders from supervisors..when they entered the premises they observed what seemed to be a threat ( a man with a machine gun) and stopped the threat. I'm sure they had some sort of reasonable suspicion to enter the location and probably a search warrant signed by a judge.

I wanted to save this response because it is exactly why this country is in the shape it's in.

There is a bandwagon out there with ALOT of people on it.
It is the,

"At least America's not as bad as" bandwagon.

You see, by making this arguement, as long as America isn't the WORST country in the world then, you win the arguement! We could have internet sites shut down for our own protection but.....you guessed it, "at least it's not as bad as N. Korea"!

We could have stricter and more oppressive gun laws buuut......"At least it's not as bad as Austrailia" where they aren't allowed guns at all.

My wife cheats on me 3 times aweek with the neighbor buuuuut....."At least it's not as bad as your wife" who chearts on you four times a week with the mail man.

This type of irrational thinking is exactly why we are in the mess we are in and will always be until we are THE WORST country in the world to live in, thus, you can no longer make the arguement "at least it's not as bad as".

Cant argue against it can you? Sucks doesnt it. Cause its true. Maybe a cop out. But its true. We have checks and balances by all political spectrums. Trust in that. One thing we do know is:
a) they fired 71 shots...7 1 !!! Anyone who has ever trained with weapons knows that is excessive an that they were just unloading.
b) they let him die...slowly, with paramedics right outside not being allowed to assist. I don't care if that was Osama, not rendering medical attention for over an hour is what led to his actual death, probably not the gut shot. For this alone, the cops involved -- each and everyone -- should be indicted for murder. I have not seen any of these sycophants here for the cops behavior explain this unfortunate little fact. Not doubt the cop apologists will try to say they were simply securing the scene. My guess is they were staging the scene, maybe planting drugs (a routine cop tactic).
