Threatened by a armed criminal gang + those criminal gangs are sometimes sleeping with corrupt parts in all levels of law enforcement in question. The spokesperson was named O'Conner. They really cant hide too well anymore. I smell compartmentalized mafiaso knights of malta stuff not just a simple mistake.

hohum... what am i gonna do with the hidden hands of power on this planet. I will have to ponder this a bit because they are getting out of control from the looks of it. Not just this incident either...we are talking at all levels and all kinds of different issues

I searched google for an "official source" on this story, and this is all I could come up with after a few pages of searching. They said he was the one started shooting. A bullet hit the swat's shields first. The article completely makes the SWAT team sound justified.

azstarnet.com...

You posted an Arizona Daily Star article dated May 6, authored by Fernanda Echavarri and Jamar Younger; where they claim that he fired at the officers.

Guerena fired his AR-15 rifle at the deputies, who were holding up shields, Ogan said.

At least one of the shields was struck by gunfire, he said.
Article 1; May 6

However, in another article posted May 11, authored by Fernanda Echavarri once again, a revision was made, it seems.

"The suspect said, 'I've got something for you,' when he saw them," O'Connor said. Guerena's wife denied he said that.

Deputies began shooting.

A deputy's bullet struck the side of the doorway, causing chips of wood to fall on his shield. That prompted some members of the team to think the deputy had been shot, O'Connor said.
Article 2, May 11

So the first article is sided with a justified use of force. Then a few days later, and the story completely changes, to the point where no mention is made of Jose firing at the officers. Just a verbal provocation and a clear indication that the team was confused about flying debris, from their own rounds striking the doorway.

?

So what's going on here?

Sounds to me like a SWAT member had an accidental discharge and prompted the all out slug fest.

I agree wholeheartedly with your post and could not possibly star it enough. I too worry about the coming confrontation for both sides, but that having been said. Each individual can make a choice to do the right thing. I chose to do the right thing when I was asked to perform an act that would have infringed on persons civil liberties and it did come at a great cost to me both personally and financially but I did it.

If enough people did the right thing and made the right choice then there would be no repercussions for it because there would be no one left or not enough to do the wrong thing. However we are far from that now and doing the right thing carries with it great potential punishments.

If we however do not change this pattern the end result will be a confrontation the likes of which this country and perhaps world have never seen.

In the end it comes down to personal choice, at some point you must look in the mirror and decide just who you really are and if you find that image hard to face then I suggest you make an adjustment before it is too late for all us us.

You are failing to realize that dealing drugs alone did not get him killed. It was when they executed the search warrant and he was holding a weapon that got him killed.

but the issue is, when one of the surviving, articulable witnesses says "they did not proclaim themselves to be police before, nor administer cpr after he was shot." there are 2 huge problems here. no knock warrants seem to bait people into a combative stance. if you're sitting at home watching a movie and you either see people loitering, or
massing on your home, what do you do?

theres a case in Atlanta of where a no knock warrant, goes horribly wrong:

Just a grunt following policy gets gunned down by other grunts just following policy?

I can live with that. If it means all of these grunts will cannibalize themselves on their own policy and leave the rest of us alone.

Lets hope these SWAT guys get their own policy before they can harm another 92 year old woman as in the post above.

Can someone tell me if there has been any kind of coroners investigation, or anything ??? Has there been a verdict of any kind on this shooting? I mean you would have thought that someone would have begun a legal proceeding to figure out the truth of the case!
If I have missed something in the thread, then I apologise, but I cannot find any reference to the findings of a coroner, and Im pretty sure they have to check every corpse to ensure that cops are not just murdering people willy nilly (sort of like it would appear they are from the case as we can read it at this time).

so according to the new info, a DEPUTY AD'd(accidentaly discharged). so his jumpy trigger finger caused his team members to empty their magazines. ok, check.

now back to the beginning.....did they ANNOUNCE THEMSELVES as POLICE OFFICERS before entry into this mans home, informing him of the warrant??

Now this is an ignorant, hate-filled, statement to make.

Because he was in a war, he deserved to die?

Honestly, do you really believe that this was deserved retribution?

Mods, these type of posts don't deserve space in the forums.

You were not there. So you do not know what actually happened.

If they have POLICE written on them anywhere then you should drop the gun, lay on the floor with your hands on your head. If it is a mistake, then it will be discovered and you will be awarded money and the officers will be punished.

If you are breaking the law, then sure grab a gun. You will not make it to trial.

Well I'm not dealing drugs out of my home. So I would not think it was someone trying to take my drugs and money. And I'm not committing any other crimes, so if I saw a bunch of guys running up to my house in tactical gear that said POLICE on it I would assume it was the police and they made a mistake.

If they had a legit reason, it would have been released in the first press release to cover their asses... Now they don't have one, and are relying on stupid ass people to jump on their bandwagon, thinking that having a gun in your hands in your own home is somehow a reason to get shot down.......

It is legal in the state but it is still illegal under federal law. So lobby to change the federal law.

You should not have a problem with local police. You should have a problem with the federal law and the DEA.

Oh man, I wish I could reach through my screen and slap you in the head.... HELLO! His family was in that house! That is worth more than any drugs or money. If someone creeps up in my yard with guns, I send my girls into the basement and lock and load. Someone enters my house, they are going down. The damn police better announce themselves if they want to serve a warrant on my house.
