Osama Bin Laden: Pentagon releases home videos!!

The more I see of these "home videos" the less and less I believe our governments take on this whole situation. Given the living conditions, he appears to be a man held captive rather than a man who chose this life, and possibly killed, or said to be killed, at a time convenient for our government.

I have lost my credibility, how many times have your “inconsistencies” in the video been debunked, the only thing you had going for your theory was the 230v power cable stuff and that’s been debunked on this thread. As has the left and right hand stuff, the calculator, the decoration in the room, the TV box and every other claim you have made.

You are the one who has lost credibility however you will never recognise this because most people on ATS want to believe you, that does not make you right it just means you’re doing a really good job of feeding their ignorance.

I bet he's sitting there watching the TV saying "Hey, that's not me! Why do they keep saying that's me? I told them I didn't knock down the towers. I sent them cupcakes and formed a PAC with daddy's billions just to donate to the Republican party. Yet, they still don't retract that I did 9/11. Next year I'm donating to Nader."

Don't know Bin Laden well enough to make a positive id from that profile shot. If only he had turned his head so we could see his face. Could be any old man with a grey beard as far as I am concerned.

I have re-watched the videos several times now and have looked pretty hard at both strip sockets (one being on the wall to the left of OBL and the other being on the floor infront of him).

Socket on Wall
The socket on the wall (also being the one most visible) matches a Euro 220v socket which fits in with this being filmed in Pakistan (this is contrary to my original thoughts - part of putting forward a theory is being able to accept when you are wrong *hands up*). You can tell due to two very distinctive qualities:
1. Circular, largely spaced sockets.
2. Thin plug typical of european plugs due to circular pins.

Socket on Floor
The socket on the floor is less clear, however a few things can be picked out which shows signs of being a 110v socket, this is based on the following:
1. Spacing between sockets is much smaller.
2. Plugs are thicker a trait more common of US plugs this is due to the vertical length of the pins (btw don't know if pins are the correct term for it).

So to me it does show a mix, things which still interest me are as follows:
* More plugs used in what appears to be a 110v socket - in a country which uses 220v you would expect the opposite. Guess it's not that unusual.

* No evidence of a transformer - These are usually pretty big and heavy, I don't understand why he would have the strip sockets exposed all over the place but keep the heavy harder to hide transformer tucked away... again however it could be in another location with an extension bringing in the current.

* What is the point in this home video, the filming seems deliberate to show off bland features of the room and the TV rather than the man sitting in the room. When is the last time you took a home video of your wall?

* If they had reports of Osama being in this location since 2009 and in Pakistan since 2001 why did it take so long for him to be caught?

* Why was his body disposed of so quickly and in such a manner that he will not be found? We didn't do this with Saddam.

* Why was an unarmed man killed by highly trained special forces? No trial?

* What on earth could Osama be saying that America is so afraid of that they feel the need to mute him? This is funny for a country based in free speach.

Well those are my gripes, again I want to stress I am not suggesting any solution or explanation simply that these things make me question the validity of the video or rather the 'real' purpose of it. I'm not buying the official stories because of the above.

Do you all recall the elaborate BUNKER he supposedly had many years ago?

I've reached a point now where nothing coming out of the WH is news worthy so I'm just sticking to local current events.....but even then I don't trust Gillard either after exaggering areas of the QLD floods and passing off old photos of floods and cyclones gone years by across our TV screens too just so they can enforce the flood levies.

I have no doubts that once this story settles down and forgotten about, come closer to the Presidential elections so much more will be found out over this Osama fiasco that Obama won't want to run.

This organization is believed to have been making and releasing the fake Osama videos over the years.

The FBI has never charged Bin Laden with the 911 attacks. There was a video circulating that was allegedly him confessing to the 911 attacks. Still, he has never been formally charged with the crime. Not even on the FBI website. The FBI doesn't have a shred of evidence linking him to the crime. It doesn't matter if he confessed. If there is no evidence, he can't be charged.

economist Not sure if this a reliable source but it says first charges were brought against him in 1998. They were then reinforced after 911.

I don't really see why it is even important whether or not OBL was charged for 9/11. He was responsible for plenty of other terrorist acts and he already had a capture or kill order placed on him dating back to the Clinton administration.
