An earth without borders would most definitely NOT be FREE!!
I wish people would do their due diligence and research who exactly funds things like open border movements!
Helpful hint: It's the people that benefit from depressing your wages and slowly but surely eroding away your benefits....
As far as the whole Canada NAU thing .... honestly once upon a time I could see how Canada would benefit from integrating with the US... But now Canada has jobs a strong currency and a vibrant economy!
The US, Um.... Well we have the market cornered on debt that couldn't be paid back if we spent every single dollar made in the US for the next two years from every single man woman child and business.
Beyond that we have a crumbling infrastructure, a rapacious defacto new aristocracy who will stop at nothing to accomplish whatever they set out to do, and a failing system that has slowly but surely replaced all the competent people in the public and private sector with those who can be bought and sold.
Canada would do well to Seal it's borders and tread carefully whenever dealing with it's poor, desperate, and VICIOUS neighbor to the south.... (sound familiar guys?) Canada should avoid any serious involvement with the US for the same reason the american public would not want the US to merge with Mexico.
Canada has NOTHING to GAIN and EVERYTHING TO LOSE in the next few years!
Speaking as an American I wish the Canadian Public the best of luck and hope SINCERELY that they will do their best to purge their governments of officials who wish to slowly but surely bind Canada to the falling star of the US government!

This NAI, when fully implemented, will be an utter disaster for both Canadians & Americans. (Mexicans have always had an incredible mess to deal with in their country.)
You're bright enough to know that the only reason the Elite want to annex Canada is to exploit/ rape Canada of its natural resources.
They want to annex Mexico to exploit their cheap labor. An open border with Mexico will ensure cheap labor for all, because our economies will be devastated and Canadians & Americans will be working for peanuts to keep from starving to death. Either that or risk life & limb to fill the ranks of the military.
I have no doubt that the US economy has been collapsed intentionally, as well as the USD. I wonder if the scheme to adopt the Amero is also a way to stiff the Chinese -- since they hold the bulk of US debt.
Too bad the majority think this is all "conspiracy nonsense" -- they're in for a rude awakening.
[Ottawa – April 29, 2011] – In what would have been unthinkable at the outset of this campaign, the Canadian political landscape is being profoundly reshaped in ways that are still unclear. What is clear is that Canadians are opting for dramatic change on May 2nd. The Conservatives remain stuck at 34.5 points, well short of the majority that they insisted was essential to ward off the adventure of an untested coalition. The NDP, who began the campaign at a scant 14 points, have now more than doubled their support and at 29.7% and are breathing down the necks of the stalled Conservative Party. The hapless Liberal Party, meanwhile, is in full collapse having achieved yet another historical nadir at 20.0%. A very soft Green Party is at 6.9% and is available for the picking. The Bloc Quebecois remains stuck at 26.2% in Quebec and will be dramatically humbled in the next Parliament.

I was going to respond point-by-point to you again, but I see you continue to drift way off your initial claims, while continuing to ignore my very simple and specific questions in favor of emotional and sensational persnal attacks.
It's clear you think all American are the root of all evil. I'm sure when you get out and have some experiences outside of college you will understand there is more to life than simple black and white dichotomies.
If you really want to continue yr personal attacks against me for having citizenship in both the US and Canada, then feel free to send me a PM. I will likely not return to this thread anytime soon, as no one here has even attempted at having an informed conversation on the present facts.
Again, feel free to send me a PM if you want to continue the dialogue. I suspect when you realize I am indeed a fellow human you might drop the pretentious anti-american facade a bit.

Some very stellar posts and debate going on! I'm just enjoying sitting back and reading. I'm glad that most people have actually taken the time to read the entire cable, can decipher the diplomat speak and integrate it (pun intended) into their knowledge base and understanding, to form intelligent, responses.
Remember....this cable is from 2005. How much has changed since, in NA and the world? How much closer are we.......
Just to spice things up and throw something else in the mix, lets take a look at a poll from 29-04-2011 about the upcoming Canadian Federal Elections on Monday, May 02.

Conservatives = Republicans (right-far right- corporatist)
Liberals = Democrats (center-left - corporatist)
NDP = ? (left-far left - democratic socialist)
Green = Green (green- far left anti corporate)
The Bloc = Separatist ( Cultural and territory focused - a French Texas or Alaska, if you will)
To me, this poll is showing that Canadians are very tired with the major 2 party system (i.e. Cons and Libs...Reps and Dems) and are saying FU Bilderbergs, corporations, old system, NAU, etc. This surprise surge from the NDP is unbelievable. Something thing crazy and historic may happen in Canada this Monday, that could be as blinsiding as the ME uprisings, without the violence.edit on 30-4-2011 by Connector because: (no reason given)

Well that's surprising. Unable to properly debate me, you've posted complete garbage with nothing relevant to say. Interesting how you claim I am engaging in personal attacks on you, yet the only person carrying out personal attacks here is you.
And why should I take this to PM? You think I am a coward? I'm not afraid to defend myself or my country in public, but you seem to want to take your unwinnable arguments to somewhere unseen by everyone else.
I want everybody to take notice: This guy and his posts are the typical response of imperialist-thinking people; relics of the past that care not for progress, but rather support the intensification of class struggle and disparity of his people. Instead of engaging in reasonable discussion, he accuses me of doing all the things that he is doing.
People like these hold the cards in today's world, but ultimately, they are morally bankrupt and can be beaten through decisive language, facts and soulful dialogue. When the time comes, fight not with guns but with words; the imperialists will have nothing but money to hide behind.
And yes, the NAI/NAU is all about class disparity; the only people who will benefit are the super-rich while the workers continue to live on sustenence wages while under the fear of communists/terrorists/themselves. Anyone who supports this is either rich or insane.

You one world government folks have this all wrong. It is absolutely a terrible idea! We've been brainwashed into looking at our governments in the opposite direction they were intended to be in the pecking order.
The individual is supposed to have the most power followed by a city government, then the state, and at the very bottom, the federral government. Think about it.
The people who would be at the top of a world government would have more in common with one another than with any of us peons at the bottom. What laws and customs that may work for a small village in China for example would have very little in common with the social structure and needs of a city in the midwest United States.
These supra governments would benefit the so called elites only, giving them a more efficient method to consolidate and execute their self serving goals.
You folks need to think these things through and realize we are meant to be at the top of the power triangle, not the bottom.edit on 29-4-2011 by Redwookieaz because: (no reason given)

No problem man.....when I came across this, it BLEW my mind. I couldn't believe what I was reading, right there in black and white, from top Canadian government sources. We've all known this, but haven't had verified, concrete evidence.....and it suddenly materialized in front of me. This isn't "secret pics of the Amero coin" crap, this is the real deal. It's a true smoking gun.
I'm surprised more posters aren't as interested or care as much. I guess they've resigned to the inevitable.
Pls pass the link along

If you knew anything about your country's economy.you would know that Canada has a long history of essentially giving away their natural resources (wood, water, fuel) to the US. The US doesn't need a "NAU" to do this. Canada does so freely. Hell, raw wood gets sent to the states to be milled, then shipped BACK to Canada to be old at Home Depot.
9. (SBU) There is little basis on which to estimate the size of the "upside" gains from an integration initiative concentrating on non-tariff barriers of the kind contained in NAI. For this reason, we cannot make claims about how large the benefits might be on a national or continental scale. When advocating NAI, it would be better to highlight specific gains to individual firms, industries or travelers, and especially consumers.

You have no idea how different we are
Canada: Free healthcare, Non-Restriction of Food for the needy/poor due to our government making us citizens pay for food-staps so other people can eat, We donate 90% of the food in foodbanks(Not that our government dosent help but they understand that there are enough people willing to donate so they dont have to spend money), We have ALOT better schooling, we have alot better Socialization, and if USA and Canada join we would be the same people in the eyes of others...why would canada a usualy peacefull country join something that has (IN THE PAST) been known for being just as brutal as the tyrants of the past other than they have a Governmential Greed they had a Selfish greed.

Even they admit there is not a lot of upside to any nation or the continent as a whole!!!!

Let's see how happy they are to give away resources when the U.S. dollar crashes.
Canada is currently diversifying AWAY from the U.S., expanding trade with China and other European countries, they don't need the U.S. and for there sake I hope they wake up to this.
Their money is worth more than the American dollar right now anyways
