Assasination Attempt: NATO jets strike inside Gadhafi compound

TRIPOLI, April 25 (Reuters) - A NATO airstrike flattened a building inside Moammar Gadhafi’s Bab al-Aziziyah compound early on Monday, in what a press official from Gadhafi’s government said was an attempt on the Libyan leader’s life.

The last few days he has become more and more defiant in flaunting his commanding "freedom". Initially he was giving t.v apperances within his bunker, then moved out into darkness in some city squares and unknown tents in the valleys... However last few days he was on the back of a truck being driven casually through, what appeared to be, pro-Ghadaffi townsmen... with a look of courage on his face as he cheered.

Think the shows over within days now.

i bet that all the governments in the worl are teaming up for the new world order, and need eachothers cooperation to carry out their plan. ghaddafi may not have agreed with that, so thats why everyones attacking. thats my quick theory.

If he is killed does it matter in the grand scheme of things? Another tinpot strong man taken out. If I remember correctly when the US bombed Libya in the 80's wasnt one of his daughters killed in that attack?

If you live in america, I hate to break it to you, he is. Just because you dont like it doesnt change the fact. Its no different than when W was in office. Like him or hate him, he IS the president of this country and saying 'he's not my president' doesnt change a damn thing.

And frankly, like him or not, calling for the assassination of an american president (or anyone, for that matter), and an attack on american soil is truly ignorant, and sick.

NATO is bombing him, he has the right to bomb back. If it's on American soil then so be it, America is full of war mongers anyway and a little bit of the action won't kill them, at least not all of them.

I despise what america is doing right now to. But do you not see the logical fallacy of "we did it to him, so he should bomb us, cuz i dont like war"?

Truthfully, I am appalled....

I think the idea of assassinating ANYONE is absurd. As I've already said in this thread(which you conveniently overlooked...shocker there), I despise what america is doing right now. I do not condone their attempts to kill anyone, and I do not condone another attempting to kill anyone here.

I know enough to know that violent retribution will only make things escalate, not get better, which SHOULD be the goal. But it seems that there are two groups around here: Pro-america (USA can do nothing wrong) and anti-america (america is evil and should be destroyed). The truth is, it is all a matter of perspective. The truth is, very few people want peace and prosperity. Everyone just want that which they disagree with destroyed, and it is not only sad, it will eventually be the end of the human race.
