I'm a skeptic. Let's go ahead and leave partisanship out of this, as this issue is not about left vs right for me. It's about transparency and the fact that this man stated himself that people who have nothing to hide, hide nothing. As I've stated before...noone would spend millions to seal records if there wasn't information that could be damaging to him or others for that matter.

On the other hand, I could be completely wrong and I'm okay with that too. However, if he has nothing to hide, he should fear nothing about opening up the information that people are so desperately seeking right now. I sort of feel like he owes us that much.

So what gives?

Proof that he even ever existed? Would you like video proof that he exists? Photographic proof? I am sure I can even dig up audio. Witnesses who have seen him in person,perhaps even one of the cigarettes he used to smoke

Seriously though. In my opinion, the man is legit. Don't get me wrong, I am growing to dislike him as president more and more, but he is legal to be the president.... He presented a birth certificate. Not the long form apparently, but it seems that this is not what is required by congress as proof.

He has a passport.... And from what I understand you do have to show long form in order to get one.I have been hearing that from birthers lately. So, that means to me, that at one point he did have a long form BC.

I don't know, but I do feel confident that if he did whip out his long form,there would still be people who claim it is fake.There would be people who say, it must be fake otherwise he would have shown it right away. I feel this way, because I see,that it was investigated by the US government before he was elected,to make sure he could run legally.

But that was ignored by some people. They say it's not proof of anything. The state of Hawaii speaks up, says they have investigated and that he is a citizen of the united states... Some people decided they were lying or wrong.

Countless other people have investigated yet were unable to find any real evidence ( speculation is not evidence) that he was not a citizen.Yet some people keep going.

While I do admire the persitance, even the so called birthers must take a step back sometimes and think to themselves 'Really?'.

Go ahead and Google every reasonably pertinent question posed about Obama's secrecy. Compile one list. It doesn't even have to be that long. I won't ignore it.

Given the amount of time you're spending on this thread, I question which of us is the irrational one.

You may not realize this so I will explain. Hawaii had what we would call today a real "open door" policy during 1940-60. Meaning, there were many undocumented births (mostly from asia, hince the high asian population there today) during this time in which people from all over the world showed up with their children stating they need certification for their son/daughter who was just born, to prove citizenship. Hawaii being the welcoming and liberal state it is, were more than happy to help issue out all needed documentation. Hearning this, even if it was only half true, which its not, ask any local historian, lead me to believe that its possible that our current president could have slipped in with his parents as a baby and obtain documentation illegitimately.

Right because on the day he was born someone in Kenya said hey this young man is gonna be President of the United States one day we better put an announcement in the news papers in Hawaii so that someday when they ask where he was born we can show them that.
