i do see good and bad in both ethnic groups. im just pointing out some facts...

wow, there are so many misconceptions in this thread its mindboggling.

first of all, I'm from Bahrain (I created the account to post a thread about the situation in Bahrain, I just realized I need 20 posts), I'm an athiest, & I'm 22.

anyway...
Arab =/= Muslim, everybody should realize that first before making ANY CLAIM, in fact people of all religions live peacefully in most Middle East countries (not SA though, the most bigoted country, but the Middle East is huge & nobody seems to realize that the Middle East isn't one country, in fact, only SA practices Sharia Law), another thing is, being an Arab isn't a race, being an Arab is speaking the language, there are white, brown, black, & all sorts of skin colors in the Middle East, the ME is a huge & diverse place & I don't know why only so little people realize that.

another thing, people in the Middle East DO NOT hate Jews, they hate Zionists, those are two completely different groups, & not only Muslims hate Israel in the Middle East, they hate Israel because they occupied a neighbor's land, killed their neighbors, yet somehow the innocent victims are the bad guy while Israel is the good guy, now tell me you would not be pissed about that.

now before you start showing me suicide bombings in Palestine, you should realize one thing first, suicide bombings by Palestinian People are personal actions, Israel is a government, which means, you can criticize that terrorist as much as you want, but he's not an Agent sent by "the Secret Anti-Israel Arab Society", however, you CAN criticize Israel the government because the crimes they did are a responsibility of the government.

& now back to the OP, get off the high horse, you're not some special chosen people, you seem to have quite the superiority complex, you do not have extra special brain cells, you just have more resources.

I believe Religion is BS, but I respect my friends of all religions & I don't think I am superior to them.

IMO, the most important difference is that Muslims want to spread their religion and convert the rest of the world, like a virus.. Jews have no such intention and just want jews to have a homeland..
The author is right though, we invited a Trojan horse into Europe and killed 6 million jews, it really breaks my heart to see that is about half of the population now..[then maybe more than half?]

Having read the article that the op has posted and doing a bit of research, the numbers are correct in the aspect that the Islamic world has contributed very little to the world at large, and the Jewish people have contributed far more. But what it fails to take into account is that at one time it was the Islamic world that was at the height of scientific, mathematical, and philosophical natures to the world, especially during the dark ages. But times have changed and any more the Islamic nations, those that have and exploited the natural resources of their countries, have contributed nothing to the world beyond their own greed. While the extremist represent a threat, there are extremist in all countries and all beliefs where one group is hated or less desired than another. Ultimately, the article is correct in one aspect, that Europe has sought in the past to destroy one group, only to bring in another group that is far worse, all cause they did not realize that they were in the process of creating a far worse situation, where the solutions are not getting painful and hurting societies in general. All in the name of being PC and not wanting to say something that may offend, ultimately has caused this problem. And it is dividing countries down philosophical lines, be fair and equal to all in their country or to force those who live there to change and join in the society. The writer of the article is incorrect that it is just the Muslims in that aspect, rather than encouraging them to join, they often set them apart, and treated them as different and now those choices are coming back to where it is intolerable for both sides. The one side can no longer afford to be so tolerant and the other side is not wanting to give up what they view as their rights. Ultimately this problem is going to hurt and hurt hard, on both sides. Violence is what is starting to come out from such, and there may yet be bloodshed over the small petty issues, and for the intolerance on one side and the other.
The Islamic world and the Muslims, should ultimately be given our pity, not cause of that they are Muslim and desire freedom to worship, but cause they do not realize that they have set up their own conditions to live. While the ideology of countries like Iran may not be liked, or that of Pakistan, which can not be trusted, their technical skill that they have shown, even in the hardest of times, should be applauded, and perhaps it is that skill and drive that should be nurtured to where they can join in and contribute to all of the benefit of all of man kind, rather than trying to squash and letting them feel like they are standing in the shadows of giants and the indifference of the world. It is ultimately that indifference that is breeding the hate and animosity towards others that are different that causes the problems of the appearence of the west versus of the Islamic world.

Jews are responsible for the multicultural rush into these countries. So funny watching Jews wine about racism and anti-semitism all the time but you can say whatever you want about muslims, and they always love to compare their accomplishments to others. As long as jews are doing the comparing its ok. If anyone else compares the Jews to something they are racist.

Fun fact: Muslims haven't been kicked out of over 90 countries.

So they can reunited with them and live under the system of prosperity they had sought to acquire in Europe, because the whole world we be change to suit the ideals of Draniean thoughts.

Now please why do Muslims continually try to and suceed in acting out the more genocidal passages from their quran and hadith's ay? You keep spewing the same apologist horse # and completly deny or ignore the constant attacks not just on westerners but the sectarian violence between the muslims, the constant opression of women and their rights and the complete refusal to be held accountable for their actions.

Why shouldn't I draw comparisons? That seems to be exactly the very misbegotten purpose of this thread? Are you saying that "good fundamentalist" Jews and Christians (those that follow their scriptures truthfully, and those I was discussing with FarArcher) are also likely to do all those nasty things mentioned? Because that was my point, my other point being that those muslims who ACTUALLY properly follow their scriptures (i.e. "good fundamentalist muslims), WOULDN'T do such things.

I am not sure you read the post you quoted of mine. Read it again. I didn't call anyone racist. HOWEVER, consider that FarArcher (the poster who I was responding to) said something along the lines of "there is a cultural expectaction among arabs to hate everything, and fire AKs and rockets in the air", which certainly IS racist.

I'm keeping well out of this arguement......however......

I haven't read all 12 pages yet but thought I'd just point out that Jews and Arabs are of exactly the same racial stock and are both semetic people who share the same genetic signature.
Even the Ashkenazi Jews who have lived in Europe for centuries have retained this distinguishing genetic feature.

Any differences must be cultural.

Perhaps we should all stop concentrating on that which divides us and start concentrating on that which unites.

Simplistic and naive I know.

Its like saying Europeans are the same genetic signature as Africans because we all originated from the same continent before the great Continental drift.

I think you Sir should try to broaden your knowledge - Jews and Arabs are genetically the same race.

And until relatvely recently they shared much, including to a certain extent religion and culture.
Jews lived throughout the Arabian peninsular and co-existed with Arabian tribes and clans

And then came Mohammed and everything changed......of couse someone as learned as your good self will be aware of the events and relationship between Jews and Mohammed in Medina

As I said previously, the only significant differences between Arabs and Jews are religious and cultural.

You should learn about religions and factual history before you post absurd comments. If you knew anything about Judaism you would know that Jews were not allowed to marry anyone outside of Judaism especially in biblical times for the sole purpose of not mixing Jewish bloodlines with other cultures.

Any historian would tell you that throughout history especially up to 300 years ago these laws were enforced in a strict manner. The only time throughout history that Jews have had mixed marriages was in Europe where they had no choice and would be killed if they didn’t.

In the early 19th century intermarriage of jews was comparatively rare – less than a tenth of a percent (0.1%) of the Jews of Algeria, for example, practiced exogamy, but since the early 20th century, rates of Jewish intermarriage have increased drastically.
In the United States of America between 1996 and 2001, nearly half (47%) of marriages involving Jews were intermarriages with non-Jewish partners, and a similar proportion (44%) existed during the early 20th century in South Wales.
Overall, there is a relatively high level of resistance to inter-faith marriage in Judaism and this often constitutes a form of self-segregation - preventing Jewish communities from integrating and merging with surrounding populations around the world.

A little bit of research isn't very hard.

Jews and Arabs, of all types, have very close and similar genetic coding and sequencing suggesting a common pre-Canaanite ancestry.

As such, any differences between the two are cultural and religious.

I have no axe to grind; being Agnostic I have no particular fondness for any organised religion.
I am aware of the history of both religions and peoples.
There are similarities in the teachings of both religions and in the various cultures etc.
Of course there are differences as well.
Islam wants to spread it's message worldwide, by any means possible, and Judaism is almost exclusively for Jews.
However, as a neutral outsider looking in I think it's worth mentioning that both can be very arrogant, aloof and very intolerant of non-believers.

Jewish 'extremists' believe Gentiles are sub-human.

I really don't understand your reluctance to accept that Jews and Arabs are genetically almost identical with some common ancestor and that their differences are primarily cultural and religious.

Just what are your objections to that other than it contradicts your pre-conceived ideas?
Your protestations appear based on emotion and perhaps even bigotry and are very light on any sort of supportive evidence or reasoning at all.
