Only a theory, and it's definitely not a widely thought of one at that.

Good, i'm glad there are people out there who are like you, in science it is always good to disprove a theory and fact comes along when a person cannot dissprove it. You sir, are a thinker. If so, cool, go ahead and provide your info (and your source should have the courage to come forward, via numerous means simultaneously, to get the word out and protect him/herself to some degree).

Otherwise, probably not so good to keep saying "I've got a source in NASA" because either:
1. You'll get your source busted before the info gets out and we're all screwed
2. You'll be exposed/assumed not to have a source eventually and will lose credibility.

You have to remember that Mozi lived long after the Xia Dynasty. This is most likely a legend passed down to illustrate that there really was a Divine Mandate. In truth the Xia were most likely just overthrown by the Shang and nothing anomalous occurred.

Am I missing something here? I don't see much silence on this issue at all. Maybe from NASA but that's nothing new. I did a Google search and came up with pages of hits.

There is no evidence. Someone made it up because Zacharia Sitchin said Nibiru was said to have a 3600 year orbit (actually disproven by Summerian cuneform scholars now). NASA have calculated it to be over 10,000 years. It's a long period comet and thus it's orbit cannot be precisely measured, only guessed at.

Ohhh...dear..the Xia dynasty ended in 1600BC, together with severe climate change and obviously a geological pole shift, if the sun and moon taking different paths is accurate..which was 3600 years ago.

I don't need to remind the regulars here what else is supposed to have a 3600 year orbit, and wreaks havoc when it swings by...do i?

Is this direct corroboratory evidence of Nibiru?

NASA has no way of keeping the sky a secret or anything in the sky or in space. We have eyes, we have a lot of people with telescopes. Unless they have a way of making us all blind.

The JPL site really only shows it in the second dimension. For all we know the comet could be going over the top or underneath the earth, not just left or right of it.

The poster mentioned JPL specifically, so i'm assuming he meant it was very odd they have *zero* information on ELEnin, when normally, you'd be hard pressed to avoid JPL going on about something like this.

That's take on it of course, so best to ask the poster i suppose.

Yes but the comet tail and all it's debris would surely skid across the atmosphere at that distance. Would make for a spectacular meteor shower, however that debris, traveling at several tens of kilometres per second, could easily obliterate ISS.

lol bs. The chances of it hitting something so small like the space station are so tiny i doubt theyd even be able to project the orbit that accurately. Thats like hitting an ant with a bullet at 500 yards. I find it impossible to believe theyd be worried about it hitting the space station and not worried about it hitting the earth if it was coming that close. And even if it did hit it,, so what? That is hardly doomsday worthy news worth covering up, you send the few ppl on it home and you build a new one eventually if its even still a worthwhile project.

Not sure if it's been said yet but perhaps that's why they've sent secret payloads up in space and this final shuttle mission, to get those in the ISS back to Earth before Elenin passes by?

The "tail" is only a phenomenon of a comet's approach to its host star. (Our Sun, in this case.....since we haven't been to other stars, but can infer that THEY TOO will have similar orbiting phenomena).

What I wrote is that there is no "TRAIL" --- in response to a member who thought the comet was somehow "picking up" debris and "dragging it along" behind it....like it had a physical wake, or some such nonsense.

Hang on a second. Why is a "wake" nonsense? That response is nonsense if you ask me.

It is highly possible that this comet can be made up of solid mass, and that mass can attract other mass as it travels millions/billions/trillions of miles in this case in its orbit. Hell, if it passes through the astroid belt, its going to pick up debris. But, the astroid belt is a hard target to hit, granted, in the over all expanse of the universe.

Your assumption that the comet is made of Ice and is giving off just a vapor trail is not 100% accurate. It is plausible, but there exists an equally arguable theory as to its makeup as well, which, gives status to my theory.
