What I find scary is the number of people that are defending this and I assume that many of you are American citizens. I have no idea why you are still involved in wars because clearly you have lost any 'war on terror' if you are now willing to accept this practice as a neccessary evil.

The proof that the US government has completely abandoned the philosophy of Liberty and Freedom is evident in their wartime rhetoric abroad. They no longer talk about bringing freedom to the people of the countries they war with and instead offer only a fight for 'the right to democracy'. - Democracy, a catch cry they repeat over and over again to instil in everyone the idea that it is democracy that is the cornerstone of Western society rather than the freedoms and values we once enjoyed. Unfortunately, the brand of democracy now practised is just a token democracy where the people are given the right to vote between their carefully chosen puppet #1 or puppet #2.

This video is posted in the OP is without doubt an example of the conditioning of our children to accept such practices as a normal part of life. It is these, our children, and our childrens children that will truly suffer the consequences of our gutless generation. I hate the fact that some day in the future, when people look back at this period in history we will be viewed as the greedy, self indulgent lot that took liberty and freedom for granted. We will be the ones that future generations will have every right to lay blame for losing everything our ancestors fought so hard to gain for us and what was our responsibility to protect for them.

I have no paranoia, I understand that the risk is quite low. I just fail to see what is wrong with search like this.

There is no right or freedom that says you cannot be searched in public airport. If you dont want to be searched, hire a private jet where such search is not done.

Fair point on location, how about any public location? movies, sports ground etc...all public places

I never once said said the child would make the weapon or smuggle drugs.
All I'm saying is we shouldn't presume every 6 year old girl is a "threat", if there is reason to suspect she may be a threat then yes a pat down may be acceptable.

I don't believe a kid would willingly try to harm anyone, but yes they can be used as a tool in a crime.
We shouldn't jump to conclusions about everything though, not every person is guilty

Your more likely to get injured in a road accident.

And don't forget kids. There is an ever growing list of "trusted travelers" who may bypass TSA when flying commercially. Ask your senator or congressperson if they are "special". Someone ask Speaker Boner. I'd bet my entire retirement that he doesn't have to put up with TSA.


I'd trade all the modern toys that I have to take my family and go back to colonial America. I'd just grow hemp for rope and not miss a thing from the dawn of the 21st century.

I guess I'd agree with you about "welcome to slavery" if this tactic of security was used everywhere. However, it's only at the airport. And don't use that whole, "this is just the spearhead...its going to be everywhere!" argument.

Metal detectors have been around for a while at the airports and they are still not "everywhere."

You are taking your argument to the extreme by making the analogy about freedom allowing people to do tons of different bad things. I think it's clear that I didn't create the frisk. I didn't sign off on a policy about the frisk. I am only responding to a bunch of wackos saying it's child molestation or torture. Sure, in a utopia we would not have any security. But...in Earth's utopia we would probably all be dead.

I'm sorry but I just see a huge disconnect from losing my "freedoms" to having some more advanced security at a private business I'd like to frequent. As with any business, if I have a big enough problem with something they do I stop buying from them. Flying is not a right. There are other ways to move about the country and even leave the country.
