Assuming you're talking about a straight military invasion, I'd say it'd be extremely difficult if not impossible. Everyone is armed to the teeth in this country, and it's a whole lot of ground to cover with resistance in every direction. I'm in the midwest, and I personally know quite a few people with stockpiles of high powered weapons. But, to entertain the thought, if I had a powerful military under my command I suppose I'd try to take over the coasts first. That way you'd have the sparcely populated heartland surrounded. I'd probably drop troops into denver to establish a point of command in the midwest. You'd be able to take advantage of the terrain that way, and because its densely populated, it'd probably be a little easier to campaign against. However, in all reality, I don't see much success still throughout the Appalachian mountain regions and much of the midwest. Let's just say it'd be a long military campaign. You'd never be able to completely squelch the resistance to such a presence. Too many citizens are skilled with weapons and outdoor survival. When you couple that with their knowledge of the land and all that, you've got a tough enemy.

Ultimately I'd say it'd be impossible to accomplish in under half a century. Even using the tactics TPTB are using now you'd have a tough time... Any change that's even halfway radical is gonna piss off a lot of armed people. Before anything, you'd pretty much have to knock out internet, cell towers, and any other common forms of communication. *sigh*...really though, I guess it's pretty well under way as it is... Like many have said already, you're seeing the invasion now. But, on the bright side, I'm confident they'll fail in the end.

You know in Lord of the Rings were Aragorn rounds up the ghost army and kicks everyones ass? Well, I'd take a few months travelling the world, rounding up all the spirits in limbo, people slaughtered at the hands of the American murderers. Then, I would set sail for the eastern shores of the US in a mammoth fleet of ghostly pirate ships.

You cannot invade the United States of America, not this day and age.

In my opinion it wouldn't prove too hard as long as you could keep a lid on massing forces in the atlantic. I would look to land around 20k troops in New York via fast moving landing craft and Parachute 5k Troops into Washington. Use the buildings and people as protection as would assume even the american government aren't stupid enough to use weapons of mass destruction against its own people and principle power bases? The US government would have no real option to concede, either that or a long drawn out building to building war would drag out. Either way your aim to destroy the US would be achieved. I don't see the need for any real terrain warfare as it would be too hard to hold onto the whole country, it would have to be purely strategic.

Just my theories, i wouldn't want to see it happen. But end of the day you can have all the power all over the globe you want, but strike the snakes head, the rest will collapse...

Id have America destroy itself, cause a civil war. Then just walk in and clean up. But how to go by doing that?. Maybe get in controll of the information flow, leadership and money. Then bend the minds of the people, untill they vent and repeat the bull# unquestionably. Create an opposition, people who reveal the corruption. Arm the freedom fighters. Have the government shut down, have chaos ensue. With marshal law implicated force the hand of people - start hording them into concentration camps. Markets stop working, stores becoming empty, death through hunger and fighting. As the country is enveloped by chaos march in, "we are here to rescue you". American government is overthrown and a new dictatorship sets in. GG

First: I would launch EMP attacks in key locations in the US.

Second: Use the Drug Cartels and MS-13 gangs Mexico to cause mass riots and protestes

Third use the army I have been sending in for years as civilians call them up

I would invent a bomb that was devastating and only the size of a Football.

Beat me to it. How about waiting for Super Bowl Sunday and taking out all of the communications infrastructure. The riots in the streets would be devastating.

In the realm of today's warfare, large nations will be purposefully imploded rather than invaded. The process has already begun and is evidenced very plainly in Libya and Afganistan. Nobody has the will to engage in overt military action against a large country.

It would be impossible for one country to invade the US right now. I think Russian and China together combined would not be able to do it. Tzun Tzu gives the advantage to the US due to North America being its home so it has the advantage to rigging the game.

Invade Canada? Canada is not as easy as say Iraq to invade. There is a lot of terrain and our defence isn't as slouchy as people think. We can defend our country and plus the US's help it would be impossible.

I think simultaneous attacks would be useless against the US since they make most of the weapons in America you can't really blockade a route. The only possible way is to fire many EMP rounds into the atmosphere hoping to knock out their power and than attack different locations.

But again Tzun Tzu places US as the winning side in this equation because of their forces and weapons.

Well, depending on your goal, you wouldnt have to invade. The US government is destroying the country as we speak. One only has to check the price of gold/silver and look at the dollar index. If you wanted to aid in its destruction, simply sell anything that you own in US denominated assets ie the dollar and demand that your government do the same.

Bye bye US.

Their 100 year legacy of constant wars, installing dictators, death merchants arms dealers is finally catching up with them. One can only spread so much evil before Karma takes hold.

Let's see.... Presuming I have control of the US government and I could operate under a multi generational plan (I wouldn't have to see the completion in my lifetime) I would;

Enact a 100 year plan to dumb down the population through indoctrination rather than critical thinking and
Deplete the population's immune system to make them subject to designer disease for culling purposes and
Start a large number of ongoing wars overseas to insure problems with return transportation logistics and
Bring your "sleeper" troops in silently as immigrants over a period of 50 years to fracture resolve and consensus of the existing population and
Systematically devalue the dollar to cause demoralization and substance abuse.

Once the troops are safely out of the way I would;

Collapse the food market and
Collapse the dollar and
Enact martial law and
Enlist the aid of the UN to bring foreign troops into the country and
Allow the government of my choice to run the US colony.

It would be bloody, the FEMA camps would be full with new ones under construction every day. The whole of the US would be converted into centralized labour camps. US population through martial law and active culling would be reduced by 60 to 100 million in order to bring in "new management" from offshore.

Of course this kind of plan could only be enacted by a psychopath, I only look at strategy and the above is a pretty brief outline, but it seems the most logical type of plan and it is the one that has been successful so far.

I would say the best thing is TACOS and BURRITOS then send all those mexicans to invade................................ China could help the Mexicans. Then the USA army in afghanistan and all Middle East would have to come back home to help.....oh i forgot they most mexicans too

Fundamentally, approaching the United States with any conventional military invasion would be suicide for any army of comparable force. This is not 1944. Conversely, use existing individuals and organizations in opposition to whatever "American Ideals" happen to be prevailing to shift the country's mindset over a couple of decades - and you get something that looks like Obama, but smells like a Nazi. Trying to be polite, but disdain both.

You must preserve the cities. Those are your workers in the great post-america communist/socialist/workers/etc nation. So the correct route would be to first destroy leading military heads, and demand a military conversion from US to my side. There will be those who join and those who stand. Those who join would be promised land and establishment. Afterwards, we burn down DC and organize to take New York, Chicago, San Fransisco, Los Anglos, Houston, and Austin. From there strike the military bases of those against us, and organize those with us. Probably wouldn't be that hard to get the Mexican army with us to help, and the Canadian army under our control to some degree. You wouldn't take the whole country. Just the main points of power, the rest will follow.

Invade? Why bother. Just start terrorizing IRS employees and destroying IRS buildings. Then as resources dry up, and the armed forces, politicians and bureaucrats no longer get their pay, the country would just dry up like any weed without water. This would allow anyone who has the gumption to run amok, do whatever they want to set up their own cooperative group and start working on an anarchistic non-state.
