Your proposal is just some elaboration of the grandeur of love. I just don’t see how it could be practically applied. It differs a tremendous amount than what would actually happen, if we were all free to run around and do whatever pleases us.

At some point even in a perfectly conceived plan of utopia, there becomes the problem of the corruption of man. Jealousy, greed, rage, these feelings can not be denied, they are a part of our everyday existence built into the human condition. Put two isolated humans on a deserted island and without any outside social interaction, each one of these feelings would still be experienced. Love can’t simply replace the human weaknesses that will always exists.

Your idea hinges on one tremendous impossible “if”. And if elephants had wings they could fly. Well only if it was allowed under the laws of physics, which brings me to the point, wishing away those restrictions won’t make them go away. It won’t remove the consequences either, when they assume themselves to be air worthy and jump off a cliff. Those anarchists who wish for the chaos expecting eternal sunshine after wards and lilies to rise from the dust, are just as delusional. The strong will dominate the weak, as it always has been, as it always will be. Pretending otherwise is folly. For many it is the naked ambition to be among the strong after the dust settles, that drives them. That helps “our” current situation how?

Your position is just a commendable impossible wish. If it only were that easy I would decree that guilt alone, should prevent any of it happening in the first place. But it wouldn’t make it so and contrary to the assumption, would make a solution far less likely, banking on the good conscious of mankind instead.

We have been preying off of each other since before we literally could speak and “love thy neighbor” is the solution to thousands of years of learned aggression? Even among merely two of the most perfect humans ever conceived, never mind billions could it ever actually work. The disciples of Jesus would not be righteous enough to fulfill your vision. Even traditional religion acknowledges the weaknesses, that you simple decided to deny.

You seem like an otherwise reasonable person and you can’t see the truth in what I say here? I’ll concede that if we had mutual love for one another, the world could quite possibly be near perfect. On the other hand, I just simply know better and it didn’t take years of soul searching to come to that conclusion either. Just the very plain, blatantly obvious, truth.

The thing is if you could accept that what you wish for is indeed impossible, then perhaps you could decide to put all that effort into something constructive, that is indeed achievable. When you surmise the solution to all our woes is to be merely as good as Jesus, well ok tell me something that isn’t already a foregone conclusion? It’s not a revelation, it’s not even an epiphany. Unfortunately though, it is quite impossible.

No argument, it’s apples and oranges and we aren’t even on the same farm. If it were a matter of virtue, ok you win. I have no choice as like your spiritual conviction, to pursue the practical and logical instead with the same zeal.

I do not believe in impossibilities my friend. This is no wild boast but I lived my life proving the impossible is possible. I was born blind in one eye and wanted to be a Marine. Family said it was impossible, and countless recruiters said it was impossible. I served for 14 years before I got tired of proving it was possible. There are many other examples, but listing them all is a bit silly.

The solution IS Love. That is what we lack that causes all of our social ills. Greed is an attempt to fill the hole left by a lack of love with material possessions. It is impossible so the greedy just keep wanting more and more. It is not their fault, the more they take even less they are loved. We spend far too much time judging the Sin rather than healing it.

Don't take my word for it my friend. I know how crazy this sounds. A year ago I would join you as a disbeliever. I had a stock pile of ammunition, guns, survival gear, and was ready to take on the world when TSHTF. I cannot put words to what happened to me to make me see things the way I do. In a way, I feel that I was judged. Everything that I have ever done to others that was unloving I was confronted by. Every harsh word, every judgement against them, I felt THEIR pain caused by me.

You would be amased how much pain is involved in the simple act of judging someone else. How do YOU feel when someone treats you unlovingly? How do YOU feel when you are judged by others? Think of all the times in your brief moments of anger that you did the same to others.

That is the world we live in. It is not our fault because our world depends on such callousness to survive. We built it that way. People would not be so unloving if they did not have to be. We all started out innocently as Children, not knowing any other way than loving each other. Do you remember how free life seemed in Kindergarten, before you judged others by race, sex, religion, etc.?

Don't take my word for it my friend. I am just giving you a snap shot of what is on the horizon. Heaven and earth will move to bring about this world that I envision. Not because it is my desire, but because it is the world intended for Man since the very beginning. This is our Eden, our Kingdom of Heaven, and the gates are open wide!

Just watch my friend.

With Love,

Your Brother

P.S.

Yes, we should all be like Christ.

Christ is the Messiah

Does anyone remember being taught in religious studies the judgement you have sinned just by thinking about it, even if you don't act on it. Basically you are guilty for having a subconscious over which you have no control mechanism to filter what it instantaneously puts into your head.

Everyone in the class accepted that extra guilt mechanism being dumped on them except me I knew what she had just said and tried to impress upon all of us was damaging and wrong, but being a little girl, I didn't have a clue about the world of the unconscious and the sub and universal consciousness etc etc.

I don't care about this guy's motives for his message, the message itself is good because its acted as a prompter for all of us for who the time is right, to rethink about spring cleaning our freethinking minds. Ta Buddy lots of dust coming out.

This damage dumps on us from two areas in life, the main offenders and the most lethal if they catch you, are the priesthoods and the corrupt politicians. It'll take more than a feather duster, no matter where you stick it to take these on but its about time we lawfully rebelled.

This sounds like the start of a Travis Bickle monologue, and I'm wary of these cheshire cat-style smiling faces. I don't trust this guy any more than I would trust a televangelist.

Well it’s not as if I’m a staunch defender of the establishment, but it took thousands of years for us to get this far. To wipe the slate clean and start all over seems like an awful big waste. To me the message of the video is that selfish pursuits of the individual, trumps the requirements of the society it’s supposed to contribute to. It’s not love thy neighbor, instead it’s the hell with the rules. It’s a glorified Mentos commercial.

Gandhi was a social innovator and so was Hitler, Genghis Kahn, Alexander the Great, Napoleon, Caesar and Stalin. They all had visions of a different society other than that they were born into and each successfully changed it. So just for that action alone they deserve to be celebrated? Well in the end most of it worked out ok. Just a couple of world conquests and hundreds of millions of people dead. But hey, you have to break a couple of eggs to make an omelet.

Change is not always for the better, as we come to suspect even in our own current situation. Desperation towards a radical solution empowers tyrants much easier than it does humanitarians. Any culture that has enthusiasm for the basic act of rebellion and change, without an iota of consideration about the consequences, often gets what it deserves. During those rare times when virtue was common it could turn out for the good. In our current society my estimate is that maybe eight out of ten times, it won’t be for the better.

Unfortunately IAMIAM we have been given a peek into what’s next and nothing I see indicates it will be good, never mind perfect. Any plans for a better way, will have to wait until the backlash from the next “solution”. Once that happens, I don’t see it simply stepping aside for the better good of humanity. Enough said from my aspect, you folks enjoy the celebration. Good talking to you IAMIAM, it’s refreshing to run across an optimists from time to time

My brother pas away last week. I am glad i've could bring this song to his ears.
freaking 33years old. He was human 2.0, he always did what he wanted. (police chase, crash cross motor)

This song gives me power, hope and a sense of normality. Its not me, its them

I am mad as hell. I want to give my brother the echo he deserves. I dont want to go on 1 day any longer this way.
Still i a chakeld to the reality we choose collectively. How many must die. In War, religion, culture customs, personal battle's. We can not be held back. Although i am not holding back no more.

Is this poetry?

It ought to be..

I took the liberty of formatting it:

I know now.
I'm not going to dream of darkness, and death.
Because I blamed myself for these problems I face
I blamed YOU
And I wanted to take it all out on you to show you what it was like
To show you the suffering in my soul
So you could no longer be happy as you once were
Or as happy as I once was.
Never again.
For all the pain I have endured by my hand, it has set me free
Like this was the plan all along.
On this ship, we have rocked together,
through thick and thin, you have been there for me all along,
holding me, loving me, protecting me.
When you tried to show me, I threw it back at your face
I was not ready.
I am here now and I will never leave you again.
I owe you an eternal debt of gratitude, I am free.

Beautiful.... =)

I liked the video, but found the web page disconcerting. A little searching led me to this page, wemustknow.net... which you might want to view before shelling out your 40 bucks.

I'll quote a little:

"But sometimes a piece of spiritual propaganda is so slick and clever, using the discoveries of the billion-dollar research engines of the ad industry and psychological warfare bureaus to produce something which is capable of sucking in even regular people.

Now, some of us have spent a good portion of our lives keeping an eye on these kinds of things. We can spot a manipulation a mile away. The ‘Wayseer’ video is, in my opinion, one such manipulation. And rather than let it pass without comment in the hope that it would simply die the death of so many other noxious ‘New Age’ fads, I figured it was worth the time and energy to point out the problems.

As the saying goes, “The only thing Evil needs to succeed is for good people to do nothing.”

Please note…

I’m not trying to change your mind. If you like being manipulated by pseudo-scientific catch-phrases and a catchy tune that tells you “you’re special!” then that’s your choice. But don’t forget that, in order to truly choose, you need as much data as possible about any given subject. The main reason I have chosen to write on this topic therefore is to provide that extra data and to address the imbalance in the ‘playing field’ of the information war for your mind."

It's working like a charm (so to speak), looking at the replies to this thread. This is how cults and religions operate - take advantage of the disadvantaged and disenfranchised. It's the lowest kind of scum. They don't care about you or your beliefs. They only want your cash. It's no different than Oral Roberts asking grandma to send her pension check every week.

Having just arrived at page 13 of this thread, yes i have read every post, I have to say that the quality of arguments and opinions expressed thus far is, in-my-humble-opinion, a breath of fresh air!.

Regarding this video..

One point that has so far been missed is the obvious one. Namely, the impression people get after watching this video.. While a hot debate has been ongoing within this thread I noticed that there were many 'one time' posters who expressed a positive comment about the message given by this video. A quick example from just 2 pages are these..

From Page 1..

Very cool montage here

Well, I liked the video and it was definitely inspirational...but their entire website is a money making charade imo...

What a beautiful message!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us OP!

beautiful it is, i did not think it was possible to put into words but someone came through. i'm not religious but i feel as if the rapture just happened and this video and its message is it.

Such an inspiring and overwhelming video!

From Page 2

It's a feelgood video, but always beware of anyone or anything that tells you "Hey, let's all join together and be nonconformists!" Not possible!

Absolutely, positively, just tooooooo *cool*..

Thanks man, i feel inspired to optimism for my fellow man again.

Cold shivers at work reading that..jeeeeez

its good to get up in the morning and to watch something like this, just takes you away from you life as a slave thank u you have made my day Thank you for sharing this. It's nice to experience the high amidst the vast lows. Peace & power to the wayseer's

This really touched me. Thank you for this post.

No kidding! I just woke up from a nap and this video was the first thing that I watched, which totally re-energized my body, mind, and soul!

Hello...my name is Whateva. And I am...a WAYseer.

Their are many more on subsequent pages. The point is, irrespective of the authors history and motives behind the video and its that it's original basis was built and improved upon a simular video by Apple (Think Different)...ordinary people find this.... inspirational.

If we are debating the money aspect here then yes, based on what we know about the author its a scam that does indeed pray on people's feelings of being different. But, lets go futher than the dollar issue here(which incidentally, the orginal video as posted on YouTube is free to watch). The actual message contained within the video should be our main focus. Since it clearly shows (as demonstrated above) it has inspired or given ordinary people a 'feel good factor' after watching this video. Futhermore, it is in my honest opinion that this kind of message, directed at the ordinary, sane, honest, hard working people which could, under the right circumstances, make world changing policies simply because it by passes political and religious bias and goes directly to the individual as being the one who has the power to make important changes within their lifetime.

Looking back over two thousands years its plain to see that neither politcal or religiious reformations has brought about any major stability within this world, the world as we know it is dying and people in general are more than ever, in need of hope and encouragement. Maybe, just may be, what is needed is a radical change in the way people think about themselves and those they interact with, that in turns heralds in a new conciousness of the way we conduct ourselves.

Opinions expressed are for the further discussions of the O.P and are my own, I am open to any resonable arguments against them. For the record I am not siding with the author or his website as I believe 100%, its a scam.
