So we can say there is a significant probability that this is such an effect until a formal investigation would be done. But probability would tell us that its a low factor. Rare to unlikely.

This is the best I could do with it. Ran it through my picture blowup software, then adjusted the levels a bit. Very cool picture though.

It's definitely not a statue. I'll believe it's painted on the wall before I believe that. It still looks like a 3-D object tho. It's embedded into the wall somehow. look at the location of the front foot, and the absence of the back foot. It's also difficult to distinguish which arm (right or left) is the forward swinging arm. The back arm also looks partially embedded. I cannot ascertain why this might be, but it is pretty clearly embedded into the wall.

There is simply no room for something to be in that space, be it a creature, statue, or otherwise. Also, it's center of gravity indicates it;s in forward motion, so if it was a statue, it would be falling over.

Though the image in this thread does look doubtful, I applaud your description
of the poor chap who sells soft dairy products.

On the plus side, they beat Swansea 2-1 on Saturday.

Here, we are. If the dark blob 'a' is what people are referring to as some kind of 'base' for a 'statue' then I imagine that 'b', 'c' and 'd' must be some sort of base too. Right? I don't think so. I don't think the validity of this photo is going to be ascertained by lookink at these dark blobs or the 'footprints'. Footprints they may be but if you read the description from the photographer...

I was out in the back garden making some sketches, taking notes,

He was all over the backyard. There is no reason to believe that there wouldn't be footprints in the grass. Not only that but the one footprint path detailed is not the only path. There are footprints everywhere.
Also I agree with WogHd, Look at the thing's center of gravity. If it were a statue it would be falling forward.
So we still have an object in this photo that has not been identified. It remains inconclusive.

it seems like it has nowhere to go, and he says its in none of the other pictures? It couldnt have had time to get away because if it was moving fast it would probobly be a little blurred. Im thinking fake.

Maybe you want to point something out that made you come to that conclusion then? If not maybe you should go back to playing video games

What analysis has brought you to this scientific conclusion?

Well.... this photo screams fake.

More then likely one of them iphone apps where you can add thing to the original image?

I mean, why would you take pictures of a brick wall?

He did say he was taking photos to design a garden so why wouldnt he photograph the area?

This thread is going beyond stupid now, like I've already mentioned it really does seem to be Dan T's fish alien thread version 2.

Apart from the obvious conclusion that some people literally have nothing better to do with their time than attempt to wind people up, the more upsetting fact is that some people have no amount of common sense and will continue pushing until there is proven, scientific evidence that something isn't real.

That's fair enough, but lack of evidence is not evidence of lack and whilst it's nice to take this principle and apply it, people need to realise it's a bi-directional concept.

No, I cannot prove that the little statue in the photo is a little statue, but no one else can prove that it's not a statue.

At that point, common sense kicks, or it should....

That's me done with this one.

Actually it's been shown quite conclusively that it cannot be a statue. There is no room for a statue, and it's center of gravity is forward of the subject, indicating that it is in motion. This has been the consensus of those who have actually bothered to analyze the image.

Right, it might not be a statue then, but it isn't an alien pal. Let it drop, kids could come up with a better case...

Geez, no kidding, Woghd. here is the photo that you so kindly cleaned up and provided...

Thank you for sticking with this. It is obviously not a statue. Woghd's offering shows this clearly. If it were a statue that someone simply walked to that spot and set against the wall it would be falling over.
Now that I have looked at this photo and its permutations here on this thread I find that is getting a little creepy. The way the rear leg fades out is pretty strange and the angle of the rear arm seems eerily natural.
On the other hand I have had no luck at all getting in touch with anyone at UFOcasebook so that is making it impossible so far for me to contact the photographer. Any suggestions from more experienced members regarding how to better research this would be greatly welcome.
DeathKron, you live nearby; can't you just go knock on the fellow's door? Or maybe this has been printed about in some local media? The help would be appreciated and maybe you can even fulfill your dream of shutting down this thread.

Edit: It looks like it would just be a short trip North on the M61 for you. Let me know if you need more precise directions.

edit on 4-4-2011 by Frater210 because: Directions?

Just for the record I also get the impression that the 'thing' is trying to keep out of the sun. I would like to post the photo once more as originally formatted when I got it from UFOcasebook. In other words it is just the first photo in the thread again...

Here's something new that I just noticed. I believe I can see both eyes of the creature (assuming it's a creature), it has every appearance of stepping out of the wall at an angle. Seeing the two eyes, and seeing that it is at more of an angle than I thought, gives it even more of a 3 dimensional appearance, and thus even LESS room for it to occupy that space. For that foot to be in that position, a good 80% of the creature needs to be inside the wall.

NINJA EDIT: I also think that it may have BOTH of it's arms forward as it apparently steps out of the wall. The rear "arm" may not be an arm at all.

Hey, ya know what? I just realized something. Does anyone else find it strange that someone who has spent two days trying to derail this thread lives so close to Preston? Namely, this guy...

OK, DeathKron, who are you really and what do you know about this photograph (the one of the 'thing', not the one of you)?
