The biggest proof that my conjecture is correct is near death experiences. People who have undergone them have reported that they stayed in these worlds for hours or even days when only minutes transpired in the physical world.

Any proof on your theory?
Didn't think so.
At least your thinking.

There is no such thing as life after death. you cease to exist the moment you die. What is not realized in near death experiences is that they are experiencing a dream state that the perceived time approaches infinity as the point of true death occurs. Consciousness is not energy. Your brain can be considered a flash drive and your mind and experiences are the information. What happens to the files when you destroy the drive? the files go as well not transmuted to any other form. Sorry guys when you die you are dead. You will experience a billion year long dream just for its lights out.

Not truth! I'll explain it to you so you'll understand it hopefully. The human is like a radio receiver and the consciousness (which is the life before and after death) is like the radio station that is sending waves to the receiver to make it work or to be aware of the consciousness. By the death of the physical body the consciousness does not die. Like by destroying the radio receiver other receivers still play the station. Consciousness never dies. Another way or representing this to you is: Imagine the consciousness is a huge fire. By birth every human is like a branch of a tree that is thrown and caches a fire in the big one. Your life is as long as the time the tree branch can hold its fire. Once the branch burns out, it does not mean the whole fire is out.
(Sorry for my bad words arrangement, English is not my 1st language)

Consciousness is not energy
What an absolutely stupid statement. Consciousness if the flowing of electrical energy through your brain. Memories are stored in a "flash drive" type of manner, but consciousness it's self is an energy that might possibly exist after death. Some research has shown the body loses something like 1 gram the moment you die, some people hypothesize the is your "soul energy" leaving your body, your raw consciousness moving into the next realm of existence, a non-physical existence. But hey, no one really knows. I don't, and neither do you. Your conclusions aren't set in stone.

NDEs (Near death experiences) are great and all but there has also been NDEs in which the person has seen nothing zip nada didn't even know he/she had died, most of the time these NDEs which portray a bright light or smoke and fire ect come from a bible sales man or his assistant.

Hebrews 9:27 says, "...it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment." All of us know that someday our lives on earth will end. But have you considered the fact that, after death, you will give an account for your life to God? Please seriously ask yourself, if you were to face God in judgment right now, would you be ready?

Matthew chapter 25 pictures the day of judgment in which all people will come before Jesus. Those who served God faithfully will be on the right hand, and those who have not served faithfully will be on the left. The faithful will be told, "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." But the wicked will be told, "Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels." So the wicked will "go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Who will be present for this judgment? 2 Corinthians 5:10 says: "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad." All will be there: rich or poor, male or female, doctors, lawyers, politicians, and farmers, all nationalities and all ages. Great men of all ages will be judged: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Adam, and Abraham. Your husband or wife will be there, your children and your parents, and all your friends. I will be there and, most important, you will be there.

Are you ready?

Good Day pellian!

Smart post. Funny thing that you come up with this computer-comparison which can be taken a step further - and was already...

So to say that there is not even death. And no life BEFORE death - not really.

Here...
...you can convince yourself that you - in fact - don't live at all.

Source & Quote:

> The original paper presenting the Simulation argument:
> Are You Living In a Computer Simulation?

> Nick Bostrom. Philosophical Quarterly, 2003, Vol. 53, No. 211, pp. 243-255. [html] [pdf]

> (An earlier draft was circulated in 2001.)

> ABSTRACT. This paper argues that at least one of the following propositions is true: (1) the human species is very likely to go extinct before reaching a “posthuman” stage; (2) any posthuman civilization is extremely unlikely to run a significant number of simulations of their evolutionary history (or variations thereof); (3) we are almost certainly living in a computer simulation. It follows that the belief that there is a significant chance that we will one day become posthumans who run ancestor-simulations is false, unless we are currently living in a simulation. A number of other consequences of this result are also discussed.

Be well

I think that a major part of the "enlightenment" of mankind in this new age is awakening to the truth. The truth that there is no physical god to waste time worshipping, no divine or evil religions to base our lives on. Humanity has wasted to much time worrying about pleasing a mythical being and wondering whether he is happy with our decisions and lifestyles. We have fought over these beliefs for millenia and have gotten no where except hell on earth.

When humanity realizes that the universe as a whole is our creator and we are alone to decide our own fates and provide our own peace, then we can move on. When we are rid of the silly god BS people will be able to come together as one and really move forward into the future.

When we die our energy doesn't ascend into heaven or hell. There is no torture or bliss awaiting us, only the transfer of energy into the universe from whence it came, completing the circle of life. Enjoy it.

Nice thread, What do you got have here? Half a paragraph? Packed full of information. Your conscious is not energy, your brain is flash drive and when you die you sleep for a billion years. Your threads a lemon.

I would think that "energy" would have no appreciable weight. It has been "proven" though:
www.snopes.com...

If you want to call some experiment done over 100 years ago proof. I find it interesting that, with tens of thousands of people that die around the world every day, that this experiment has not been duplicated and verified with modern technology.

I'm not being facetious, I really do wonder why it has not been verified, it's not like it is a hard experiment to do, hell I would volunteer for it if I were dying, it's not like having my bed on a scale is going to desecrate my death or anything!

OP is correct, as for NDE's It happens when a large amount of '___' is released into your system right before you die. Anyone that saids there is something after death is just simply afraid of nothingness.

We do live on in the memories of others... our energy transferrs to everything around us... including people.... silly goose!

I have no idea if there is life after death but whenever I hear this I think 'woopy do' - like living on in the memory of others is supposed to be a big deal? I'll try to think of this as I leave this world for oblivion (if that's all there is). Great.. But we continue to pass on this silly saying to the bereaved as some sort of 'comfort'.

I bet you had the same opinion in your last life too. You need to read some Bhagavad Gita my friend and give yourself some hope. I feel quite sorry for you but hey! as long as you are happy right.

The reason why people die for a few minute's and they say it feels like day's is because time doesn't exist on the "other side", time is a man made concept.

dream state that the perceived time approaches infinity

Even if this is true - time is relative to the perciever - you can live for ever in that moment. You ask anyone who has had a '___' experience (Funnily thought to be released naturally through meditation, NDE's and death) and they will tell you that you can live a thousand years in 10 minutes, if it feels real to the perciever then that is the same as it is being real - because the end of the day we have no way of distinguishing between the reality we percieve and true reality.
Energy is always concerved, reality is relative and we can never see beyond our perception - you do not have the answers friend. You say energy our conscious is not energy - but every atom is energy, we ourselves are just a perception we are hollow if examined close enough, within atoms, between the atoms, every part of us is nothing encased in more nothing, our particles do not even touch - we are a projection, it is our perception of us that makes us who we are and the reality we are. The heart is nothing, pumping blood made of nothing to a brain made of nothing.
