There is no such thing as life after death. you cease to exist the moment you die. What is not realized in near death experiences is that they are experiencing a dream state that the perceived time approaches infinity as the point of true death occurs. Consciousness is not energy. Your brain can be considered a flash drive and your mind and experiences are the information. What happens to the files when you destroy the drive? the files go as well not transmuted to any other form. Sorry guys when you die you are dead. You will experience a billion year long dream just for its lights out.

That's right your body is dead, but your spirit lives on, but like you said, you will experience a billion year long dream, which is what your spirit is experiencing, I don't know about you ,but sometimes my dreams are more real than my reality,so i hope it's a good dream, because the bad ones are terrifying and since your dead, there's no waking up,and saying,
"boy I am glad that was just a dream",the dream state has become your new reality for all eternity.

You can not dream, you are just a character appearing within the dream.
This body/mind may be vaporized within the dream, but that wouldn't matter, the dream continues indefinitely.
Another character may well appear, and you would then take to be you.
But this is a mistaken identity.
The characters appear to die on a tv show, but it does not mean the show ends.
Only the dream is real.

The fact is...Nobody knows

Maybe when you die .... you wake up and remember your dream for a second - that you died ...and live on with another body - just energy changed the body....memory is inside the brains of the body

There are numerous options....but...if you stop for a minute and think...when you die there is only darkness...nothing...empty .... it just can not be ..... to me it is not logical ... it can not be nothing...think

Then How does one explain EVP ?

Remember that most near death experiences occur when the Brain is no longer functioning or processing due to the simple fact that the person is dying or even actually dead. This being primarily due to the lack of oxygen.

A dreaming state would require subconscious processing by the Brain requiring a fully functioning Brain.
The same applies to DHT. It still requires the chemical introduced into a functioning/processing brain.
As well as the transfer of this chemical amongst the functioning lobes of the Brain.

The flash drive analogy is inaccurate. You can "destroy" the drive and or it's files but it doesn't mean the "information" is destroyed. The information is still there but the structure necessary in which to access the information by the computer no longer exists.
How do you think that they can reclaim data from "Destroyed" drives ? Even after it's been deleted ?

We do know a few things that are scientific fact:

1.) We possess electrically measurable brainwaves that we do not possess once we are declared as being deceased. This translates into actual measurable energy that is no longer resident within the body once we are pronounced DEAD. Hence the term "Flatline". That line represents the amount of brainwave activity or amplitude as in energy.

2.) According to proven science as in Physics, Energy cannot be created OR destroyed but can only be transferred in form, into either heat or light energy. Seeing as our bodies cool off when we die. The energy is not being transferred into heat energy but must, based upon physics be transferred into a form of light energy or also known as electromagnetic energy.

3.) In looking at light/electromagnetic energy, there are visible and non visible forms of electromagnetic energy. This being dependent upon the frequency of said energy.

4.) We also know that It is possible to transfer information via electromagnetic radio frequency or radio waves. We see this everyday with our Televisions, Cell Phones as well as with our wireless transceivers on our computers.

Thus according to Physics, our consciousness, being comprised of the electrical energy known as brainwaves could theoretically exist in the electromagnetic frequency spectrum. And also exist as with other electromagnetic energy, external to the body based upon our understanding of this energy.

If an electronic digital recorder can record this energy in the form of speech, apparently from the deceased. How do you explain the source of the energy causing these recordings aka Electronic Voice Phenomenon or EVP. ??

Other than by our understanding of physics and our understanding of the existence electromagnetic energy amongst us ?

In reference to the original posting'

You are looking at the situation in the typical mechanical perspective that Western Science has promoted. (Which is what is giving us to much trouble today in a whole slew of areas.)
Think quantumly and perhaps you will change your tune.

Here is an exceptional good book for everyone to read.... especially those whom choose to believe that we do not continue after our perceived deaths on this planet....

After Death, Letters From Julia (PDF Book)

How You Feel After Death

I found myself free from my body. It was such a strange new feeling. I was standing close to the bedside on which my body was lying; I saw every as thing in the room just as before I closed my eyes.

OP, I did not have to read the entire thread to get to your point. Because, you are right. Have had my own experiences and nothing can take that away from me. No ONE. My experience was beyond fantastic. It was ethereal. S & F.

Edited: My bad, I did not realize we were diametrically opposite on our views. Whew, had a few drinks, sorry.

But, I have to add.............you are wrong. Does not mean I don't appreciate your point of view, just that I know you will........... beeeeeeeee.............., afterwards. Sorry for my moronic post.

I have no clue what really happens, all I know is it's kind of dumb to compare nature with a man made machine.

I used to think that way, until my house received a good haunting. The entity had this anti religious feel to it, as it would rip religious items off my wall (grandma owned them, so they were hung up for memorial purposes)... It seemed distressed more than anything. Like it was scared to cross over, because it was afraid it would go to hell. It seemed like it was a good entity deep down, even though it liked to torment me and my family members. So that's where I started believing more in life after death. Although I'm still not totally convinced amazingly....

Many man made machines are all inspired by nature.
For man himself originates from Nature.

For example:

Computers and the brain. Computers emulate the way in which the brain functions.

This being exemplified in the mere terminology used by computers. Such as "Memory".

As well as how the memory of our brain is used as well as how memory is used in our computer for example.

How do you think your eyes convey the images to your brain ? In order to read this text ?

In your memory you learned to recognized shapes called the alphabet, forming words, associated with meaning stored in your brain's memory. All then assimilated and processed and comprehended by the Brain.

Similar to how your computer functions
.
The page you are looking at is received and displayed by the browser application residing in your system's RAM memory.

The CPU, analogous to your Brain also assimilates and processes the information produced by the browser sending it to your video card and subsequently displaying it on your monitor/display to read.

Another example of this can be found in aircraft....

.
How do you think that aircraft get off of the ground ?

By the same principles utilized by Birds.....called aerodynamic lift.

This wasn't man's invention. Nature created it first.

Man simply figured out how it worked and recreated it in their machines.

Think about it....
