The FBI prefers accountant and attorney types (esp the accountants for the forensic accounting work) much more so than someone trained in "criminology" or "criminal science".....they will train you at Quantico. The Secret Service wants guys who can handle themselves and are quite adept with firearms. The spy agencies (CIA, NSA) want the anonymous types as others have suggested (kind of like human camouflage if you will....no Sean Connerys or Angelina Jolies....sorry you are too conspicuous).

Why not, at least you would get a great benifits package and a good wage.

Funny you should say that.

I know a guy who was told by a “talent scout” when he was at university that he was far too obvious for MI6 and should just join the Foreign office.

I applied to the CIA once. The job application is on their website. They are wanting people who can go into other countries and start dissent and revolutions. They explain it a little more politically correct but you can get the picture.

I would accept the CIA's offer of employment if they let me work in a nice privacy cubicle or office cuz I'm people avoidant, and if they did not require an education beyond the 11th grade, and put me in charge of all the ufo stuff.
