Well since she declined to get a medical exam and chose instead to grandstand at a press conference, she is highly unlikely to get a conviction in any legitimate court. As a lawyer, one would have expected her to understand the importance of EVIDENCE in a legal proceeding, but I am sure those who operate totally on emotion cant be expected to ask themselves rational questions like that.

I normally do NOT support the alleged rapists, I dont doubt ALL women who claim to be raped. I doubt this one. Nothing she is doing makes any sense outside of a propaganda campaign designed to give the west more ammunition to attack Libya.

And you can call all the names you want. I doubt any of you will have the decency to admit YOU are wrong if this turns out to be fake. You think heaving emotion all over makes you morally superior somehow when you are totally overlooking all the civilian lives that will be lost if this "rape" is used to justify further aggression towards Libya, and its already clear many of you have convicted these men without even hearing their side of the story.

Doctors and medical professionals in Libya are paid for by tax dollars, and in turn by the Libyan government. Gaddafi has complete control over these people. A doctor would never risk his or her proffesion and judging by current events, his or her life by not doing exactly as they are told. And that would be to lie and say she was NOT raped.

She did the right thing. The doctors would have lied to the press and to the courts.

The above poster made a good point. Say what you will about the rape, its very obvious that Gaddafis cronies did not want her talking to the press. Throwing a bag over her head and hustling her out? Threatening journalists with concealed weapons and unconcealed guns? Your delusional if you think this is a conspiracy.

She had the presence of mind to run to a press conference, how about grabbing a baggie and some swabs first? She obviously had to stop somewhere and clean up, as there was no longer feces or pee on her. You know why she didnt think of evidence? Because it would work against her.


And it wasnt all Gaddafi goons trying to shut her up. Mostly it was her fellow Libyans, which also says a lot.

She did NOT call a press conference. She barged into one already in progress.

Excuse the poor, traumatized lady for not thinking this all though before she was so rudely hussled off with a bag over her head to her probable execution. If you were raped you might be a little jumbled and might not be thinking things through clearly either. Your appologist behaviour is shameful.
