61 rockets in 2 days launched into Israel warrants cross border investigation if you ask me. Mass troop intervention into possible weapons storage areas and rocket launch points should be executed immediately.

I, for one, would hope our Canadian military would intervene and do the same thing if Alaskan terrorists were lobbing rockets, whether they hit or not, in our territory.

The bus depot attack is suspicious, however 60 rockets in a few days fired into their airspace and hills isn't.

I think that we in the USA need not spend ANOTHER dollar on Israel. Enough is enough, we need all the help here we can get and I don't want another cent going there.

If they think that what they're doing in Palestine is righteous then they need to fight for their convictions, by themselves. You don't see any other country ask for aid and for someone else to fight their battles in neighboring countries as much as Israel does.

At the same time, if Israel is left to fight for themselves, the Arab nations should have the exact same privileges and be left alone to deal with with an occupation in their own manner.

Just my opinion,

Khar

What are you complaining about?

Nearly TWICE AS MUCH foreign aid goes to Egypt than Israel.

Just like they did with the money supply, "real" numbers aren't published anymore.

Foreign aid needs to be estimated, by various groups.

My "guess" is that Israel today is getting so much aid, it isn't politically possible anymore to actually admit to it. Of course, this wouldn't even count the massive "donations" from silly "judeo-christians" that pour in each year.

If America knew what was going on, there would be major outrage. As it is, NO ONE disputes that Israel is the TOP recipient of aid, NO ONE (except dontreally).

No one disputes that Israel has nukes either and that should cancel all US foreign aid under US law..
It's amazing that no one speaks out about the scam..

AIPAC, corruption, and secret agendas that go way back to a British Empire that understood that the Ottoman threat needed to be permanently neutralized.

Enter the (in)famous Lord Balfour, and his monstrous declaration. Add the brewing Zionism, and you have a neat recipe for modern Fortress Israel, manned by ignorant "volunteers", who mostly don't have a clue what role they're playing in the Grand Scheme. And no, I don't mean "god" when I say that!

While the Ottoman Empire is gone, Islam, and it's wide appeal, especially in their traditional lands, continues to threaten Western interests, just as it did when Europe initially defeated Islam at Lepanto, five centuries ago.

Note well: Islam sells a "brotherhood of man" on the global market that the recent "communist" experiments failed to reproduce in benignity. What is the current "competition" really? The "Green" Movement?? The New Age???

Israel is there for a reason, is funded heavily for a reason, and will continue to be, for better or for worse, possibly for many years to come.

But i forget muslims are all terrorist anmd the state of israel is funded by GOD lol

have a nice day

Right on.

This has pretty much been the pattern for decades. So many rockets occasionally get launched in a small time-frame, and Israel then must respond by a factor of at least ten times.

Interestingly, these attacks typically follow the same pattern, almost all do very little damage, most exploding in empty fields, or obvious low-casualty targets. Perhaps the "terrorists" are actually rather nice fellows, simply trying to send a message, with as few deaths as possible?

Not likely. But neither is their unbelievable consistent incompetence, over such a long period.

Much more believable is an Israel frustrated at how whipped these people really are. Israel desires "progress" in the direction they want, and yet, the stubborn Palestinians are perhaps not violent enough for the politics of it all. They put up with a whole lot, and almost seem resigned to it. They "exist", yet all the time are multiplying, their population growing, and growing.

Of course some genuine violence occurs, I wouldn't want to paint anyone as somehow saintly, but it's quite possible that the pattern we see betrays a very different reality than is being presented to us.

What if Mossad is behind those mysteriously benign rocket attacks? Perhaps it could make sense after all. If these things were essentially false-flags, of course casualties would be kept to a bare minimum. I know, someone will say that Mossad would never be so nice, but I don't think that's true. I think that just as there are "patriotic" Americans working for the CIA, doing bad things, for the "good" of their nations, we would have the same sort of thing with Israel. Sometimes, particular operations can cause some collateral damage, but the participants involved accept that reality, since there is a greater context, and go forward.

Anyway, in warfare, seldom is anything as it seems. When Truth is the first casualty, perhaps we should expect the lie.

JR

Absolutely agree with you, though I've discarded the 'what if' in favor of 'definitely' self-inflicted.

I remember a great shot of 4-5 masked terrorists, you know, firing AK 47's, looking menacing and presumably reciting the Koran. Pity one of them had his shirt open revealing a tattoo, a certain symbol which it is probably safe to presume is not found on too many 'Arab terrorists'.

It would be interesting to see the troop movements in Israel over the past weeks, as the modus operandi is generally to prepare well in advance of assaulting their own fields and empty roads.

Then you get the barrage of propaganda, well-rehearsed communication that always includes expressions such as 'in response to' and a plethora of absurd oxymoronic fantasies such as tanks on defensive rampages.

When the dust settles it's blood, carnage and death all around, and I purposely omit background chatter such as the usual UN resolution, subsequent US veto, feeble condemnations from the rest of the world etc. because they are irrelevant due to their bland predictability.

As usual.

More like 11 years if you have done some research on the conflict. Ever asked yourself why they are treated so harshly? What was life like for the average Palestinian prior to the 2nd Intifada?

Why is this Conflict so Black and White on ATS?

ETA: I don't condone Israel's treatment of the Palestinians, but these claims should be examined before they are accepted as solid truth - for example, the 60 year imprisonment lie.

It's a warning to the Palestinian Extremists that their actions will cause suffering for many Palestinians if they don't stop lobbing rockets into Israel. Will they take heed of the warning or not?

Planned Abbas trip to Gaza for reconciliation talks with Hamas has been dropped from the agenda, after PA officials interpret the statements by senior Hamas officials as a threat to Abbas.

Published 01:17 27.03.11

Senior members of Hamas' military wing told aides of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas that it would not guarantee the Fatah leader's safety if he visited the Gaza Strip, Haaretz has learned.

PA officials interpreted these statements as a threat to Abbas. As of last night, an Abbas trip to Gaza for reconciliation talks with Hamas has been dropped from the agenda.

Hamas also announced yesterday that all Palestinian factions in Gaza have agreed to abide by a cease-fire if Israel halts its attacks in the Strip. Hamas met with Islamic Jihad, the Popular Resistance Committees and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine to discuss the rising tensions in the south.

Some Palestinian commentators attributed the increase in hostilities with Israel to Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh's proposal that Abbas visit Gaza for reconciliation talks. In response, Abbas declared that he would be willing to travel to Gaza "as early as tomorrow" for negotiations on a unity government with Hamas.

Let this problem auto-correct itself through the use of overwhelming force on the enemy. Israel provides much more value to the world in terms of software and technology than Palestine would ever provide. Let our US ally handle this with swift military action, the sooner it's done the sooner the masses will forget. Should more terrorist breed due to this action them let them have it. Our celestial Reaper angels will provide death from above and sweet justice to this world.

How in your sick and twisted logic do you get that Palestine must be wiped off the map in order to bring forth peace? If that is not supporting blindly ethnic genocide then I do not know what is. Violence only begets more violence and keeps the never ending cycle going for eternity.

How about Israel lay the hell off of Palestine and recognize it as the Palestinian Govt. have already said that they will recognize Israel's right to exist once Israel recognizes their right to exist. All Israel has to do is recognize Palestine first and since they will not Israel will guarandamntee that there is never peace over there.

There is no such force called "The Reaper Angel Squadron" so quit right there.

Man oh man, the amount of people defending israel astounds me. Your either a Ziotroll trying to stir up crap on the net, trying to even up the amount of truth about israel with pure lies, your evil, or just plain dumb.

Israel has been SLAUGHTERING palestinians for years on end, and you have the damn audacity to say # like 'oh well if someone attacked me i would attack them back ten times worse' Are you for real? A 20 mile strip, surrounded by enemies, under siege, an open prison, with fatherless children who have seen there mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and friends blown to pieces and your trying to make it out as though its poor israel? Is this for real? How can this even be allowed to be said, i have no idea. Its unbeleiveable. You people are sick.

How on EARTH can you condemn the resistance of these long suffering people, displaced by dispicable and massacred by ashkenazi SCUM. If you dont pay for your crimes in this world, you will in the next.

The palestinians will have their justice, and it is coming soon.
