...when displayed in a public manner.

Whenever I see a homosexuality thread pop up, people suggest that those who are gay should keep their mannerisms private, but I think that this should also apply to heterosexuality, to an extent. The other day when I was on the bus to go get groceries, there was this heterosexual couple in front of me making out. I don't mind a kiss or two exchanged between husband and wife (or even man-man or woman-woman), but when I'm trying to get from one destination to another and I see two people slobbering and groping each other, it bothers me.

I think the reason homosexuals get the most flak is because mainstream television encourages them to be open about their sexuality, so they are often times seen in more sexually provocative situations, akin to how when it's really noisy, black people are, not always, seen as the perpetrators. It's thanks to these stereotypes that one can become blinded to the truth and lump all people of the same group together. A lot of gays are obnoxious, noisy, and far too pushy, but this can be said about any group.

Anybody feel the same way?

I don't understand why people keep making these anti gay and pro gay threads..
This is a conspiracy website, that sort of discussion should be left for another forum that deals with these subjects..
It has absolutely nothing to do with the core topics on this site..

No offence to you but I hope your thread dies out quickly

Please this is just more pro-gay rubbish that is dragging this fine forum down into depths.

If you're gay fine. But please just shut up about it. Nobody cares.

This is a Conspiracy Theory and Research website where people come together respectfully discuss and debate issues that may or may not be as they appear or broadcasted or published and may be intentionally hidden or lied about to our own harm whether physically, economically, politically, socially, or environmentally.

There are I am sure plenty of websites for your morals.

Its amazing though that what you say as created the ol' "HEY, GET A ROOM!" And as far as I remember that has been yelled at any PDA because if your not in Paris its considered to be uncomfortable for people and that has been going on for decades if not longer.

Furthermore, if it really bothers you I would advise you to not ever watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. They have a great scene in the movie that makes light of the uncomfortableness of the situation but Steve Martin gives a civic lesson in that film. LOOK AWAY if it bothers you.

Also, I see your location is in California? Interesting given when I moved to bay area for one year I bought a year BART pass and saw a homeless man urinate in the corner, a man in a tutu carrying a wand wearing mickey mouse ears three times a week, another man with a**less chaps on standing 6 inches in front of me cause there was no room, a man in a suit ask me if I change for a $50 with his penis hanging out of an open fly, two fistfights among homeless couples and that was the first two months. I asked for a refund on the pass and decided to buy a car. The BART rep said the best thing to do as the refund was not coming was just look away. I would have been happy to see a man and a woman make out. It would have took me out of BIZARRO world. I quickly learned to adapt and learned what parts of San Fran were similar to my conservative upbringing and at what hours as that changes to. In the long run it was a good experience because I.learned to respect people lots in life with an open mind and get on with my own. Over all it became my second favorite city behind Chicago which I am sure Rahm is about to ruin. I thought I would end on a conspiracy note as that is what this website is really about.

It matter's not a jot what your sexuality is, but going at each other like a pig at a potato is likely to offend people of an older generation. OH goes OTT sometimes & I pull him up on it, purely not to offend other's. It's all about manner's and decorum & respect for other peoples view's in the public place.

Just goes to show how narcissistic homosexuals can be, always getting in people's faces to cry wolf like this. Sorry, but what an asinine post, OP.

Yea I think people make these threads because they're self centered and they think we might care for some reason. To loosely quote another ATS member "we owe the gay community nothing, your gay YOU deal with it".

Homo wars threads earn their posters loads of stars and flags and apparently there are some people here who can't get enough of them.

Then, there's all the folks around here who can't resist posting in the threads and inadvertantly feed the beast. Its a viscious cycle (Which I'm inadvertantly feeding right now).

Me, I try to stay out of these discussions because BH usually shows up and beats the crap out of me sooner or later.

Isn't it about time there was a hetrosexual versus homosexual forum, then all those with their narrow biggoted minds (on both sides) can slog it out till time stops still.

I would hazzard a guess that most members here like myself care not one iota what consenting adults sexual preferences are.

The world is decending into chaos, there will be a water and food shortage in the not to distant future, these and the conspiracies is why I joined, not for something that has been going on probably since the begining of time.

I for one am more concerned why mankind has evolved so war like.

Unfortunately, I don't think that's the case. I think this is the most homophobic forum I am a member of, and I'm a member of a few forums.

The main issue for me is the strong sense I have that in person all of these people are quite different. They proclaim in their everyday lives that they support equality and freedom, but on the internet they are a bigoted fool expressing outdated opinions and ignorant beliefs.

Political correctness has permeated society, but the genuine ideals of equality are lagging far behind. People give the impression they support equality and are quite liberal, because they feel pressured to do so around others. They know that their opinions are widely accepted (at least in perception). So on the internet they can be as offensive and hateful as they like, because their mother can't hear them.

If the base intention of this thread is to suggest that ignorance is bliss, and to look away if you don't like something you see (something I widely support as the solution to many of our social ills) then the same rule applies to those responding to this thread and complaining about the discussion. If you don't like the discussion, don't click and enter the thread! It's pretty simple.

No one is forcing readers to come in here and respond, and yet here they all are, pointlessly telling others to do what they couldn't resist doing!
Stupidity and hypocrisy at its finest.

This is a conspiracy forum. The amount of bigotry spewing forth from the homosexuals is disgusting. Just because one person doesn't want to see or hear about gays doing gay things, they get branded a nazi, a homophobe, a bigot or whatever.

Please, there are plenty of websites that cater for your sexuality. But ATS should be about conspiracy's and not for jollying up your demand that every should be happy watching men with men.

Please take your pro-gay attitudes elsewhere. Most of the threads on here are started by gays, with the intention of winding up people who don't want to hear about it.

Now please... Please... Can we not have any more Gay threads.

Ok here it is. Somewhere, somehow something has gone wrong with the way homosexuals think. Either upbringing, genetics, etc. Sex within the same sex is a sickness, just as is the need to chronically masturbate, kill animals, abuse spouses and children, etc. I tolerate homo's like I tolerate anyone with a sickness, addiction, or mental illness, but I will not accept that all is ok with them. That doesn't mean i won't be friendly with them, do business with them, or even accept them into the community, etc. Just don't expect me to scream from the top of the hill that all is ok with them.

Bottom line is we all have deviances of one kind or another. The key is to acccept that most won't agree with the way you view things, thus it is best to keep it private. For activities which aren't so deviant, such as hetero sex, privacy of beliefs is not such a concern. My advice for you is to get all the people that feel the same as you, start your own little community, and then it will not matter what you believe.

Your tactics are only self defeating. The more you rant the more you will be known as the F****t down the street.

I don't see why anyone would have an issue with people displaying love/affection in public. Why would that bother anybody? Everyone says we need more love and caring in the world, but when they actually see it, it offends them somehow? Is everyone really so hung up about sexuality that they can't bear to even see people kissing in public? I can't even comprehend that mindset.

I'd much rather see two people making love in the park than seeing two people fighting in it. I'd also have no problem explaining to any child that they were just expressing their love for each other. Obviously, I'm in the minority here, but I still hold that displaying affection can't be a bad thing.

public displays of affection, between opposite sex, same sex, dogs with cats, jews with arabs, doesn't matter. it's all offensive if it is anything more than a kiss or some hand holding.

I live in a city with a very large, open gay community and the city I lived in before this one also had a very open community. In both cities, I see far more public displays from straight couples and they tend to be far nastier both in their looks and their complete disregard for the people around them.

this thread, like all the other gay people are bad because... threads make me sad.

I think openly declaring your sexuality at all is offensive. Like Crakeur said, it doesn't matter what orientation it is, and for me it doesn't even have to be an overt display. I bet I could make a lot of people bail out of this thread by discussing everything that turns me on! Why should anyone announce their sexual fetishes to the world?

So someone is attracted to women, or men, or groups, or shoes, or red-heads, or kids, or donkeys, why do they feel the need to announce it or display it? Whatever happened to good old-fashioned class and restraint?

This thread is offensive, and so are the threads denouncing homosexuality, and so are any posts declaring that one person's perversion is any better than any other person's perversion.
One day, I am going to post all of my perversions and then listen for the crickets.........or sirens.
