well if anybody else wants to
investigate, here's the link to Charlotte 1660

Any confirmation to this? You would think our government would prepare our coast if they knew this was the case.

Don't want to sound skeptical, but "leaked" sources from unidentified persons who knows one person "in the know" are common as salt on these boards, and since I've been here, I've yet to see one become confirmed as true.

Doesn't hurt to be prepared of course. But some confirmation would help.

The Low Pressure system off to the West of this image is what the US should be keeping its eye on atm, the Barocyclonic Leaf Formation sending convective clouds pushing upwards being driven by the strong jet. Another 2 days and that'll be reaching the Western Coast.

Wrap-around is a normal sign of the Coriolis effect upon all upper/southern hemispheric low pressure systems, it'll also define just how far south or north in latitude this system will move, so depending on its formation (which at this time looks like it'll meet midway between Hawaii and the Aleutian Islands), this system is looking to track on the same jet as the one ahead.

Remember however the front of this is only carrying the material from the #1 explosion, so expect even higher readings even once it passes through your area.

This is the worst case of "death-mongering" I have ever seen, not fear-mongering but "Death-mongering".

This thread has no reason to exist based on the fact that the USAF has not found such a thing moments after the second blast or days after the first one. None what-so-ever, and the fact the Blogger is using a known "Hoaxed" map is reason enough to pull this thread IMO.

Here is some information that everyone should read. This will help ease their fears based on the different types of radiation that could enter the atmosphere or biologicals. This will explain the shelf life after the radiation leaves the reactor core, and what to expect as it dissipates.

There is no way that it could reach the US unless it was actually transported by plane, fish, or otherwise. The air will not reach the US in 24 hours.

C-137

This Thread is utterly USELESS unless you want to scare ole grandma into handing you over her SS check!

People seem like they don't want to hear that unfortunately. No matter how many sources make the same claims or how many experts talk about the decay and dissipation of the radiation it just gets dismissed.

I agree though, I'm pretty sure we are not going to get wholloped with a huge amount of radiation.

Fox news is like the Enquirer of the TV network.

I stop listening to anything or anyone associated with them years ago.

False. Radiation cannot contaminate water. However, what makes water "radioactive" is the minute fallout particles in it. Filter the particles, remove the radiation. This information is in Life After Doomsday by Bruce Clayton. Pretty good read. However i'm in the middle of moving and my hard copy is packed away, so no page numbers. Sorry.

And the obligatory family reference...Dad's in HAZMAT for one of the largest oil companies in the US. Secondary reference source.

Edited to add: I wanted to confirm it, so I texted him.

Me: Water cannot be made radioactive, only dust particles present *in* the water. Accurate?
Dad: Yes. Alpha and beta.
Me: Gamma remains?
Dad: No. Passes through.

Just FYI. Thought you guys might like to know.

I get so tired of the Fox News bashing.

Being politically slanted is one thing, but calling them the "Enquirer" is ridiculous. Fox News, CNN, MSNBC those are the best we have, and the only "mainstream" outlets we have to work with. There information is as credible as anything out there. There is a drastic difference between political rhetoric and actually reporting the news. I don't trust any of them for political rhetoric, but all of them are equally credible for reporting headlines and breaking news.

You're right. My husband is a BioEnvironmental Engineer in the AF and they test the air every single day.

I've been thinking about the Nuclear contamination since the Tsunami happened.

I'm sorry if most people think it's alarmist to even consider that the radiation is headed this way, but I believe it already is.

I am not in the same boat as many in waiting for officials to tell us the truth regarding this tragedy.

I was in NYC during 9/11 and the EPA posted reports that the air was monitored and deemed safe. A decade later, their report was found to be completely wrong. There are so many people dead, sick or dying from the air they breathed at the WTC site.

The same situation is going on in the Gulf. There are very ill people down there. The government and BP say all is well. Go swim in the waters, breathe the air, eat the seafood. Some of us know they lied to us again.

So, are you all waiting for the official announcement about the radiation moving in to Western U.S.? Do you really think they will announce it?

I say prepare for the worst. If nothing happens, then fine. If something does happen, you took precautions.

I already ordered potassium iodide pills, but even that is worthless if you don't know when the radiation hits us. I doubt it will be announced on the MSM….The pills must be taken half an hour to an hour before exposure. Also still ok within the first 6 hours of exposure.

Just my 2 cents…..

Once water is contaminated with Radiation you can't filter it.

But those who are wanting to store it, either using bathtubs or the bottle approach, must realise over time water stagnates and created bacteria. Water needs a constant source of flow to stop this happening which is why storing water is good short-term, but long term your looking at wanting to find natural springs to provide round the clock replenishments. To combat possible contaminants in other sources of water (rivers, lakes etc) you'll need water purification tablets, but again as this water would have already been contaminated by the radiation it's up to you to chose which is the better filter. Natural peat/moss, limestone and granite rocks which the rainwater has to seep through, or a quick chemical-fix.

Again, you are incorrect. Fresh water (tap) will not permenately stagnate or grow bacteria, if protected from sunlight. Sunlight may allow algea to grow, and effect taste, but it is not bacteria. Water stored in a dark area should be changed every couple years. Water stored for extended periods, such as this could become oxygen starved, but you need only agitate it to mix with oxygen. Check this article for water storage info:

Trust me. My husband is a horrible liar. lol

But i will say this..every year they have an excercise on base, where the whole base pretends we all got a chemical attack. They've been pushing it hard this year that everyone is ready. It's not a bad thing, but they're
really getting on their asses to make sure they know what to do.

Uh, are we dead yet?

I am sorry guys, I guess I will take the MSM side on this one. I personally believe that with so many eyes and ears on this situation, it will be impossible to keep a super serious fallout emergency quiet. Just a hint, the Govt officials are not the only one's with geiger counters. I believe that most officials will want to save face and tell the truth on such a disaster.

But this is only my opinion, so it doesn't really matter. I bet if I made a comment that said, "run for the hills were all going to die", it would get noticed. Common sense plays a critical role in my endeavor for the truth. I think that some should try it. The fear mongering is out of hand in the conspiracy world.

And on a side note. If the msm says please evacuate in a calm fashion, there is no worries. I will come back and thank all(most)( boondock) of you for the heads up. I live in the midwest and I will personally invite our westcoast members to come to my place for a while. If it is not safe here in the midwest then we will hit the east coast members up. By this time it would not really matter.

I don't swim in the waters but I do breathe the air & chow down on some mighty fine seafood as do most people around me & I don't personally know one person who is sick. Not that I think that crap they dumped in the water was good, but it doesn't seem to be affecting me or anyone I know.

Hard to not think of the web-bots "ill winds" predictions at this time.
