is it just me or does it seem like there lying through there teeth about the lack of danger from the radiation....

did any one else hear that 340 billion dollars pumped into the economy by the japanese

Well this is tipically ATS material... more unexplained fish dead....

I wonder if this is steam from the boiling water in the plant?

Has anyone actually read through this from wikipedia about Three mile island when exactly the same thing happened there in 1971?
Its really weird, the same lack of communication and conflicting reports, even a movie released just before it happened !!

This could be due to the release of gasses along that fault or in relation to a possible magma chamber under Fuji.

A recent article suggest that volcanos can reawaken much more quickly than previously thought.

Scary scary stuff

0146 : Tepco says the reactor 3 at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant has been emitting white smoke for about 45 minutes, Kyodo News reports. The plant's reactor 4 was the one where a fire broke out earlier this morning, Tepco said.

That sounds like steam to me. Could it be vapor from the water they are using to cool the rods?

Yeah... it looks like white smoke (vapour). Anyway... its a big ventilation... so it seems that they have high pressure inside the shelter

Last Aftershock was over 2h ago...is someone looking at the Seismos?

This unfortunately says to me "taking a big breath". I don't like the notion of this much time between aftershocks. I mean I am thankful and I am certain the Japanese are as well, but I don't think aftershocks the proceed from a megathrust event should just stop all of a sudden.

Those quakes seem to be in the mt Fuji vicinity.
