Liberals censor or try to anything they dont like, its the same in UK with other far left partys. I agree some words may offend people but now its getting beyond a joke. Recently a comedian called Frankie Boyle was pulled off air in the UK for some jokes about muslims and suicide bombers which was deemed offensive by the Equalties comminision. Racism against white people also goes un-noticed by liberals who allow the use of of words such as whitey and cracker, hey I have no problem with that! Im not a glass gut who cant take a joke but liberals are. Now go ahead and report me for being a neo nazi who wants to kill million of jews because thats what all anti liberals are right ?
Get a grip America and UK! Soon we wont be allowed to look at people the wrong way!

Liberals hate freedom of speech out of fear that what people say could offend them or disturb their comfort-zone.
I was asked to do a series of job-interviews recently and was handed a list of about 50 items I am "not allowed to talk about" - not even as a matter of interest or smalltalk. I was not allowed to talk about marriage, religion, health, and numerous other items. Can you imagine the insanity?
Boyle, who considers himself a devotee of Noam Chomsky's politics, "only more leftwing than that", said that when he started writing a column for the Sun recently, he was buoyed by thoughts of one of the paper's ex-columnists, former London mayor Ken Livingstone. "It's that Marx thing: you make history in conditions not of your own choosing. And the point is not just to write to the converted. It's about getting to the audience that doesn't agree with you rather than preaching to the converted."

nonsense, lefties and liberals enjoy free speech just as much as anyone. Who was demonstrating a mosque being built in new york? Right wingers not wanting the freedom of religion and freedom of speech

Liberals behave the same way everywhere. When their vision is complete things are like they are in Venezuela for example, where voicing any opinion other than the politically correct one lands you in jail.

To be honest you have some real issues when it comes to anyone left of Mussolini, so I have no interest in debating your points.

On a related note. I recently turned someone down for a position because in the course of trying to discern their value to me as an employee, they wanted to talk about marriage, religion, health, numerous other nonrelated items. They are free to speak of those things all day long but my time is valuable and job interviews are not the place to tell me how often you pray and whom to.

I guess you do not know Thomas Paine then! Which is a shame as he is pretty much representative of the liberal vision around here (Thomas Paine started his political career and pamphlet writing here in Lewes)

What are you Lucid Eyes? Do you consider yourself a right wing zionist neo con? I get the impression that would be your political stance?

Those items not being appropriate for a job-interview is one thing.
Outlawing them another thing.
Liberals make a mockery out of decency and mutual respect by trying to violently enforce good behavior.Thats the whole problem of liberalism - trying to force their views on others instead of going by "live and let live".

Considering that I am hated by anti-semites, communists, nazis and liberals alike, that must be what I am.edit on 26-2-2011 by lucid eyes because: (no reason given)
The main factor dividing left and right in Western Europe is class. Those on the Left seek social justice through redistributive social and economic intervention by the state. Those on the Right defend private property and capitalism. But the nature of the conflict depends on existing social and political cleavages and on the level of economic development.[8] Left-wing values include the belief in the power of human reason to achieve progress for the benefit of the human race, secularism, sovereignty exercised through the legislature, mistrust of strong personal political leadership, and social justice. To the Right, this is seen as anti-clericalism, unrealistic social reform, doctrinaire socialism and class hatred. The Right are skeptical about the capacity of radical reforms to achieve human well-being, which they see as harmful to personal liberties. They believe in the established church both in itself and as an instrument of social cohesion, and believe in the need for strong political leadership to minimize social and political divisions. To the Left, this is seen as a selfish and reactionary opposition to social justice, a wish to impose doctrinaire religion on the population, and a tendency to authoritarianism and repression.[9] The differences between left and right have altered over time. The initial cleavage at the time of the French Revolution was between supporters of absolute monarchy (the Right) and those who wished to limit the king's authority (the Left). During the 19th century the cleavage was between monarchists and republicans. Following the establishment of the Third Republic in 1871, the cleavage was between supporters of a strong executive on the Right and supporters of the primacy of the legislature on the Left.[10]
