Its funny to see that the op is only replying to a few post on here, and the ones he replies too are the ones on his side, or the easy answers.

Its pretty sad that in 2011 people still can think like that, maybe your just afraid of the unknown like most people, so mayber you need to make new friends or meet the ones you seem to hate so much, there not that much different than you, if youd really upon your eyes.

while christianity is responsible for the most religious killings in the world how can you hate those who do not bother other people?

I believe sin is what we are totally terrified of. Fear becomes our resolute way of understanding a stance. Fearing homosexuality actually means that a majority of the world is terrified of love. The mind can only handle so much before it decides to protect us in such a way, hate.

I love reading this sewer lid scraping Old Testement crap. Especially Leviticus. Why quit with just gay sex. Leviticus covers the whole gamut of conceivable coupling, like"
Don't screw your sister-in-law
Don't screw your goat
Don't screw your sister-in-law's goat.
Oh, and the nakedness:
Lev 18:6 No man shall draw nigh to any of his near kindred to uncover their nakedness; I am the Lord.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, for she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. Lev 18:8
And I can imagine some Assyrian goatherder during a dark lonely stone age night , looking lustfully at his favorite goat, and penning these unforgetable words" Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's wife; it is thy father's nakedness. Lev 18:9 The nakedness of thy sister by thy father or by thy mother, born at home or abroad, their nakedness thou shalt not uncover. Lev 18:10 The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or thy daughter's daughter, their nakedness thou shalt not uncover; because it is thy nakedness. Lev 18:11 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of the daughter of thy father's wife; she is thy sister by the same father: thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. Lev 18:12 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister, for she is near skin to thy father. Lev 18:13 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister, for she is near akin to thy mother. Lev 18:14 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, and thou shalt not go in to his wife; for she is thy relation. Lev 18:15 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter-in-law, for she is thy son's wife, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. Lev 18:16
It gets better. Moving on to the next chapter you find condemnation ofbreakfast at the Aspen Denny's, the Three Stooges (for their haircuts, shaving, tattoos, pimping, promiscuous dirt, andmy favorite, organ donation.
Lev 19:26 Eat not on the mountains, nor shall ye employ auguries, nor divine by inspection of birds. Lev 19:27 Ye shall not make a round cutting of the hair of your head, nor disfigure your beard. Lev 19:28 And ye shall not make cuttings in your body for a dead body, and ye shall not inscribe on yourselves any marks. I am the Lord your God. Lev 19:29 Thou shalt not profane thy daughter to prostitute her; so the land shall not go a whoring, and the land be filled with iniquity.

It's like a damn ala carte menu of perversion.
And who was this Leviticus guy, anyway. I really do want to go drinking with him. Not neessarily lie with him as a woman, not at least until he washes the goat stink off..

Doesnt your book also tell you not to judge others?

Funny how you religious types are the MOST hypocrytical and judgemental.

You should love everyone equally.

Yes! Only way to get to heaven is accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." -John 14:6 also John 11:25 "Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he die" and John 10:9 "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture."

Oh I get it. You're bringing church to ATS.

Good luck with that.

It's crap like this that really makes me hate your god more and more...

Leviticus, if I remember correctly, was written in the fourth century, while some older texts were put away by one of the archbishop of this era.

If the Bible was inspired by God, it was corrupted by men while it was written.

Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable. -Leviticus 18:22

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. -Romans 1:26-27

“It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied. “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.' ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” -Mark 10:5-9

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” -Revelation 21:8

Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. -1 Corinthians 6:9-10

for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me. -1 Timothy 1:10-11

Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.-Revelation 22:15

I don't know why people argue of the homosexuality issue. The Bible clearly condemns homosexuality as a sin. Christ even said God made man and woman and should be brought together.

Christ said it will be like the days of Noah (Matthew 24:38) which was full of ungodliness and debauchery before he returns. Dear friends we are living in the End Times. Please repent before it's too late. God has been holding back his wrath 2 Peter 3:9 so that more will come to repentance and not perish.

"Jesus died for our sins" is another argument Christianity puts forward.

If this is the case then we should all sin otherwise he died for nothing

As far as this subject is concerned i feel that Jacque Fresco said it best in a 1970's Larry King interview. When asked how he felt about Christianity he replied, "I think Christianity is great! When are they gonna start practicing it?" The bible was written by fallible man, even if these men had received messages from God what makes you think they could interpret his will in all things? You can't know the mind of divinity for in so doing you would be divine yourself.

I'm kind of inclined to agree with several of the posters as well... I'm definitely getting a Jerry Falwell vibe off you OP. I dont say this to be hurtful just an example of what repressing your humanity for a 2000 yr old misinterpreted book can do. Why not drop your ego and your preconceived notions and join the rest of humanity? I'm by no means saying your wrong or misplaced in your faith! GO for it, for if god truly does love anything in this crazy world we live in it is wondrous variety.

There is a thin line between being religious and being a fanatic... don't get caught up in the dogma and the hate my friend.

Here's the thing about hate mongers they don't seem to realize

all men and women are of sin. my sin is no greater than yours. There is no such thing as a big sin and a little sin. WE ARE ALL BORN OF SIN AND WILL DIE OF SIN. My belief of God and his son Jesus Christ is strong. Jesus IS my savior not you..

It's always good to have some support. Though believers are getting less and less but this is also a good thing because it's a sign that Christ will return soon.

This confirms my initial suspicions. This hate-mongering is not to attract people to christianity, but to scare them away from it. Then the ELECT few, being a kind of superiour human beings from repenting more than the rest of us, will bring about doomsday faster; as prophesied.

Looking forward to both an existence suited to their existentially-ill mindsets bordering on disturbed solipsism, and also being able to say: "What did we tell you".

There are parallels to another part of the christian right, which tries to get admittance to nukes, so they can hasten Armageddon that way.

In these alleged last of days, extremists will go totally bonkers from being lost in the mazes of their own minds. Increasingly becoming public dangers.

So it's worth considering getting a Batman utility belt (which to my knowledge e.g. contains a shark-repellent), including an extremist-christian repellent.

You can probably get one at the local supermarket, but make sure to buy it on a sunny day.

Why Can't I Own a Canadian?

Dr. Laura Schlessinger is a radio personality who dispenses advice to people who call in to her radio show. Recently, she said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22 and cannot be condoned under any circumstance. The following is an open letter to Dr. Laura penned by a east coast resident, which was posted on the Internet. It's funny, as well as informative:

Dear Dr. Laura:

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other specific laws and how to follow them:

When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15:19- 24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? - Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

Your devoted fan,
Jim

This kind of hilarious genius as 'Jim' manifests ought to get as much public acclaim and encouragement as possible. Compared to OT and extremist-christian methods it's both humane and effective, as there is no torture, stoning or burning implied, neither wil it cost the tax-payers anything in the direction of psychiatric ward for the needy.

On the active side it will neutralize a lot of the bad vibes coming from self-appointed 'Übermenschen".

I have replied what I thought was adequate. I don't see how quoting scripture is considered hate. There is 2 billion Christians in the world, are you calling them hateful for following the words of God? Telling people about sin isn't hate, it's an act of compassion so they won't go to Hell if they repent and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

It's because people are of the world that they have a hatred and aversion towards the gospel message. That is why everyone is attacking this thread and praising the homosexual lifestyle choice. If you was of God you'd understand but you are the world and under Satan's spell. May you all open your eyes and see the glory of God and his truth in the Holy Bible.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:4-5

Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? -Matthew 17:17

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. -Ephesians 5:11

As a Christian I believe the bible is God's word. In believing that you must believe homosexuality is a sin...not "the sin"....but a sin.

We are told to treat out brother as ourself so that tells us how all people should be treated. You want to persecute another for their sin then persecute yourself for your own first..."first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye"...
