Ok calm down man. Quit trying to start another arguement. Back on the topic, I think that were making a big deal out of the fact that the CIA was suprised. Nobody can anticipate every new sub and airplane. We suprised Russian intel all the time during the cold war. And they did the same thing to us. This kind of thing happens all the time.

If you had read my post this was a responding question to a memebr saying why is the US angry with Europe trying to lift the ban on selling weapons to china and would you care to please explain to us the answer to this question since you think I am so incompetent? And no one is always right but my opinion is not fact its just that an opinion so you don't have to take it as a message from god

Okay my 2 cents.....

China is buying anything it can from the Russians. China wants to buy Military Equipment from Europe if Europe ends the weapons embargo. China is trying to steal anything they can get their hands on in the USA.

China is trying its best to catch up with the USA. China is building new subs and surface ships. China is also building or buying 4th generation fighters like the su-27 (j-11), su-30, and J-10. China is trying to build a 5th generation fighter to take on the USA's Raptor.

In a NAVAL BATTLE, there will be more than just subs attacking each other. There will be frigates, destroyers, cruisers, aircraft carriers, and fighters. In a NAVAL BATTLE, no matter if the USA or CHINA wins there will be loses of ships, subs, fighters, and lives.

China is NOT another SOVIET UNION. China is smarter than the SOVIETS ever were. China has capitalism and is selling LOT of STUFF to the USA. The USA is selling very little to China. China is using the MONEY they make off trade to pay for their military modernization.

China DOESN'T want war with the USA. However, they do want to annex TAIWAN. China will not wait forever for Taiwan to PEACEFUL unify with China. China wants the USA to let them invade Taiwan without us interfering.

Of course, do to the great USA Tradition in interfering the USA will ATTACK China if they ATTACK Taiwan.

People should not UNDERESTIMATE the CHINESE.

Here is an idea to ATTACK a USA Carrier.

A USA Carrier docks in a Chinese Port for a friendly public relations mission. China then attacks the USA Carrier in the port with fighters and subs, no more carrier. Can we say NEW Pearl Harbor, Chinese Style?

Not according to the Taiwanese people who just want to be left alone in their island and don't want to be part of China. They have a strong economy and have more freedom than people in mainland china ever will. If China wants Taiwan they can do it with diplomatic solutions if they attack then the US will help Taiwan. It's that simple. And you must be a believing in PR too much if you think that about the Korean war.

goes to feudalistic, and then capitalist or modern society, Should America

Also china should be concerned by the recent floods which have devastated it peasant community, instead of feeding and building decent houses for them instead of shacks china is spending money obsessed with a little island which they will never have really sad Also how will they get theirs Taiwan backed up by the US china cant even come close to matching the US in military strength so you will get yours if you attack and invade a free republic.

Taiwan is not a tiny island, US call it un-sinkable carrier. Some of the US
politicians still want to keep this carrier to threat China's security.

Also how will they get theirs Taiwan backed up by the US china cant even come close to matching the US in military strength so you will get yours if you attack and invade a free republic.

Actually not everything will be judged by strength. Taiwan is already
virtually independent. If it not seek permanent independance and
leave some hope for unification, then everyone will be happy and
Chinese mainlanders will also not so embarrassed by Taiwan situation.
What we see is Bush adminstration seems see China as enemy and
trying to split Taiwan from China, and thus use Taiwan independance
to cause the whole China split, so they are now encouraging Taiwan

Bush said in Feb. that he is the president of War, and the facts just as
