Regardless of your personal brand of misconceptional politics,By that i mean every party is running on whatever misconcptions they can make the majority believe these days.(That and the ubiquitous voting machines).
Its all relative, and by that i mean everyone wants themselves and their relatives to eat and prosper their lives improving over time, not deteriorating drastically......
Every special interest group is firmly convinced of the absolute nessessity of its precepts and the need for ascendancey pover the other groups.
What makes a welder worth less then the electrician that fixes the welders rig?
Its is the stone cold hunger for the means of ascendancy that we all share firstly for ourselves, then our families, our extended families and communities and so on in wider circles.....

What is ever gonna change if we do not broaden our concerns to the welfare of the human race?
The lesson of the ME demands for freedom that moved entire goverments to exhile, is a great one.
It shows that we actually DO have the POWER!
The price is that we shed our predjudices, respect for our fellow human beings wherever, as equally endowed with the inalianable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
That is all that stands between you and real meaning full freedom.
When we can find the common ground, perhaps we we can pause our self directed efforts towards unity....
Then in a twinkling of an eye, we really can manefest meaningful change.
The lesson is WE CAN.....
The question is DO WE HAVE IT IN US PERSONALLY TO DO THE RIGHT THING?
The answer is still being debated...................................s

I'll bump that because it's happening in the great conservative wet dream of Texas as well.

That's right folks! We have no state income tax, are business friendly, and are a whopping $30 billion in debt! Our great governor, Rick Perry (10 years in office!! ha ha), lied through his teeth and said we were in great shape. After voting him back in........BAM----California sized deficit!!

Here's how deep the brainwashing goes in Texas. A colleague of mine at the University declared before the election that she knew Perry might cut our funding (and her job possibly), but she just couldn't bring herself to vote for a democrat!

It would be interesting if this whole Algeria, Egypt etc...thing is what will go down in history as the events that started the whole new world order/genocide of America/ Camp Fema ordeal of 2011.

On top of the whole Algeria, Egypt etc you also have the US Embassy official accused of killing two Pakistani men.

There is every indication the Elite are preparing a False flag to scare the US public into accepting an even nastier permanent version of the Patriot Act. If you have any doubts that the US government would allow its own people to be killed, here are the historical facts showing that they have done so before and in exactly the same way. Days of Infamy and The War on Terrorism

The formula, as shown in those articles is:
The first stage is to aggravate, literally to goad them until they had no choice but to strike back (sound familiar?)

The second prong of the strategy is to insulate. Keep the victims (that's us) from getting the information needed to protect themselves. - JP Morgan: Our next big media player?

The third and final stage is to Facilitate the attack: make it easy by offering no opposition.

Here are the stories showing the US government is busy paving the way by “Facilitating” another “Terrorist Attack” just as they did with the sinking of the Lusitania and the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Napolitano sets stage for False Flag Terrorist Attack

Day Of Rage: Americans Finally Reacting To Economic Rape?

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars.com
February 17, 2011

Last month we speculated how long it would take for the scenes on the streets of Cairo to be repeated in America. After all, Americans are facing similar levels of economic rape to those that prompted Egyptians to rise up and overthrow 30 year dictator Hosni Mubarak.

Read the Article Here: www.infowars.com...

Wait just a second.

The bill asks public sector workers to make a 5.8 percent pension contribution, roughly equal to the national average, along with a 12.6 percent health insurance contribution.

These guys are protesting because they have to pay more in benefits?

They should be happy they still have a job. If I were the state I would tell the union, either take the increase or lose jobs. We can't afford to pay right now because we are in the hole.

This isn't about the people clamoring for change. This is a labor dispute.

That's some pretty far reaching journalistic license going on there. It's Union people who are already paid far more than the private sector workers that pay the taxes to pay their wages. They want more candy and they want it now. Problem their State is flat broke.

We have had far, far worse than this little demonstration by overpaid people demanding more and that the State take more from other people to pay them.

The fear mongers are hard at work trying to cause trouble. The Nihilists, though they are few in number are pretending they represent the general population. Not even close.

One thing is for sure, they need some simple math lessons. When there is no more money, you can't give them any more money. Their demands are completely illiterate in fact. It's all political crap and the Union people are being played like a fiddle by the Progressives. They don't know they are being used to destroy the whole country for the interest of a few Globalists.

I work in the private sector and don't get paid nearly enough to what those in the unions and government sector get paid.

But one thing I keep in mind is that, it is not the case that those working in the public sector have been getting an unfair advantage over the private sector, but rather the private sector has been raping the people by outsourcing jobs, and stagnant wages for the last 30 years.

The gov pay is where we should all be based on the cost of living.

But they want everyone to look at unions and gov pay as the problem and not look at the private sector pay as the problem, so that they can now attack those people and their pay as well.

I'm all for revolution- but it MUST continue to be a peaceful revolution, as it has in Egypt. By peaceful, I mean the citizens NOT taking up arms and marching to the government to take over. Violence is NEVER the answer, as violent people will lead a violent revolution, and then violent people will be in charge of the new state.

How many violent revolutions have ended up with peaceful regimes?
French Revolution = Reign of Terror
Russian Revolution = Stalin
Chinese Communist Revolution = Mao-Tse-Tung
Countless others

Maybe the US revolution is a good example, but the only reason that one turned violent was that the King was totally unwilling to give ANY concession.

Don't get me wrong- violence is sometimes necessary, as some people will do everything they can to keep power- and will go down kicking and screaming. Some people just need a good punch in the face.

But the US, if revolution is on the horizon, it MUST be peaceful!
I think the key to a successful peaceful US revolution is the army- I think if US citizens get the army on their side, the government would be finished.

I"m going to address your remark about poor poor union workers getting paid to protest. I can't speak to those protesters but when I protested in Olympia I wasn't being paid by the state or the Union. I was on my own time as were every other protester there. I'm sick unto death of the Unions being demonized by people who have quite clearly not done all their homework. We as a Union agreed to a pay cut; we as a Union have not and WILL NOT ask for a raise since this economic mess started. And oh yeah, we also agreed to pay more for our benefits.

Seems to me that there are lots of folks painting with a broad brush and frankly I'm getting sick of it. We took the pay cut because it was the right thing to do all we asked was for it to be fair.....from the top down...........and we got it as a result of our peaceful protest that was in no way funded by the taxpayer and by the way I'm a taxpayer too; might want to remember that.

This whole thing has nothing to do with unions or pay or equal rights or blaa blaa blaa. It has everything to do with making the middle class.........into the poor class!

Take away the unions powers and the union workers get shafted and become poorer and poorer until they are the same as everyone else.

Keep the unions with powers and they lay off thousands. those thousands become poorer! The rest are scared for their jobs and will work for less and not fight for rights due to being scared for their jobs! They become poorer.

either way TPTB win! They win by making the middle class poorer!

The only people that lose are the middle class, and the poor.

The poor lose because they see no point in even applying for a union job. They just become poorer.

Everyone gets poorer, except the corporations and government.

One boss gets 17 million a year. That's 300 times the wage of $60,000 a year per employee, if that's an average. Since when does anyone have to get 300 times the wage of someone else? That same boss is claiming that the company lost 100 million over 10 years. that's 10 million a year. Seems to me that if the bosses wage was 10 million a year less then his company would be in the Black! Hmmmm. If the boss took a wage cut, the company is doing fine and the workers could be fine the exact way they are!

The companies and government need to give their heads a shake! plain and simple.

So I think they should be RIOTING. The non-union workers should be RIOTING as well! not protesting like a bunch of wimps!

Stand up for your rights people! Don't let them take even ONE more step over that line! Push them back!

What gets me is the majority of people don't get it. Even the so called conservatives who should know better just keep plodding along trying to fix it. It is simple math as someone mentioned. Idaho is supposed to be the most conservative state in the union but they are all wondering how to continue to fund all the social programs when they have no money... They wont even consider a new model or privatization. When I bring it up their eyes glaze over like oh no not again from that damn libertarian, so I just don't anymore. These numbskulls won't get it till the whole thing collapses. They are all waiting for some miracle to turn things around. It's not going to happen.

Im not rich, and im not supporting the TPTB, but abounch of people here are really pissing me off. You know why people are earning millions a year? because they worked their #ing asses off for that money. And they still work their asses off for that money. Why should they have to pay for you, with the money they earned? If i had that much money and people were grovelling at my feet for it, i wouldn't give it to them. I worked for it, I enjoy it the way i want. Why dont you go out and make that much money, instead of just sitting around and hoping you get it. Sure some people may have gotten their money in less then credible ways, and that shouldn't be allowed. But the people who worked their asses off for the money? they should be able to do what ever the # they want to do with it. and i am sure, if you had that money, you wouldn't want to give it out freely. So why dont you try thinking like the otherside for a minute, and get both perspectives for a change. I am not supporting co-orporations, or TPTB, but i am just telling some of you, that if you had that money, you wouldn't want to be throwing it around to people who didnt work as hard as you did

No, what has been going on is the CEO-Shareholder(WallStreet) model has been destroying this country for their own GREED.

First they went for the private sector by outsourcing jobs to make more money, then they cut wages, reduce benefits etc, and now these same cockroaches are going after the government workers, lower class workers, not the cockroaches at the top like Reuben, Summers etc, they know who butters thier bread and their all in on it.

I would not shed a tear if a nuke landed on Wall Street

Once the unions are gone....the middle class will be completely gone. It's not a coincidence.

Unions have been severely weakened since Reagan. Union membership is very low.

This is what the Corporations want....the end of Unions....it is after all their #1 enemy.

They see blood now and are going for the jugular.

There will be no golden age when the unions are gone. We'll all be slave laborers.

Next they will blow up minimum wage and destroy SS and medicare.

Well anyway...at least we are still blowing Trillions on war and tax breaks for BILLIONAIRES.

Correct.
These cockroaches have already shown how corrupt and spiritually bankrupt they are.
There will be no golden age, but there will be a dark age until people fight back physically and end this.

Of course....that is probably what they want so they can clamp down on more rights to protect the elite as they continue building their tyrannical police state.

Put aside FED - privately owned banking syndicate printing "money" - and lets go to where wealth is. This link is just example - you can employ other statistical methods but the conclusion will be same.
In other words your post is prime example of mind washed by propaganda.
For sure you are right that many unions are now just tools of TPTB, but ... study the history of unions ... almost all "rights" of workers (ban on child labour, safety at workplace, not so slavery wages ... ) were brought to us by anarchists and UNIONS, in other words US standing against CAPITAL. Or do you want to bring to our "labour market" sweatshop policy common at third world?
May be I'm just idiot brainwashed by Bolshevik's propaganda ...

Dont fall for a Day of Rage, people.

I strongly suspect that the coincidental uprisings all over the middle east are orchestrated. And thats not good for us.

We dont want our Constitution gutted and martial law imposed here as it has been overseas.

Dont be reactionary. The media is selling you something, are you really going to buy it? You think we can trust the MSM? They are owned by the corporate elite.
