Ok so the crusades didn't happen, neither did the witch trials. Oh wait those weren't true Christians.

Totally different subject. Deflection on your part.
- The TRUTH is that Islam does promote terrorism by it's very nature.
- The TRUTH is that it was started by mass murdering thief and liar.
- The TRUTH is that Islam is bad for the people stuck in it .. especially the women.
- The TRUTH is that it is NOT a peaceful religion.

As to your deflection about Christianity ... start a new thread about how you think Christianity promotes terrorism. Go ahead. And instead of posting things from 500 years ago .. post from NOW. Face it .. Christianity has evolved and Islam hasn't. Any elements in Christianity that have terrorist attitudes are held back by secular laws ... but in Islam the exact opposite is true because of Sharia and Islamic laws being the rule of the land in islamic countries.

Come on. I take it your a fox news watcher yeah]

Come on. Try to stay on topic and stop deflecting.

Again, i referr to the reformed stances of Christianity, especially in Western societies. Their presence is somewhat benign in most Democratic secular ruled goverments. There's FEW militant Christian groups that i am aware of.
Thisis another little sticking point. You say that Christianity is reformed, as if a reform is inherently good. Many Muslims say that innovations in the religion (reforms) take it away from its original meaning and purpose. It's not hard to criticize the reformed denominations of Christianity in this way; they hardly have the same global reach as the mother Church, which is closer to fulfilling God's law upon the Earth than the Baptists or Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons or Lutherans are.

Christianity only seems benign in Western countries because it is hidden. All Western thought ultimately comes out of centuries of Christian theocracy. The Enlightenment, the Renaissance, the Scientific Revolutions, these are all grounded in Christian foundations of metaphysics and epistemology. Why don't non-Christian cultures developed the same scientific methods or human rights discourse as the West? Because those methods and those ideas of rights are based on millennia-old presumptions about the nature of man and the universe, grounded in Christianity.

Almost all western countries are Christian ruled, and their laws are almost universally basd on Christian moral principles that have been 'sanitized' by secularists, but not abolished. Any death penalty given in the West is given because someone has contravened the supposedly secular laws created by Christians.

As for the specific punishment of apostasy - the West has found more effective means of controlling people than threats of death. Brainwashing camps, a broad range of cults that give the appearance of freedom of conscience but are in truth identical (Baptism, Mormonism, Anglicanism, Catholicism, Judaism. . . ), systematic indoctrination in mandated public schooling, insane asylums, psychiatry, mass media indoctrination. . .

Apostasy in the West is treated as a mental illness or a deficiency of character. Isn't that why you think terrorism is bad and Muslims are bad? Because they are apostates against your religion of peace, Modernist-Christianity?

Yes, I was being unncessarily harsh about the idolatry thing. Iconoclastic Christians have been caught in the crossfire, in my zeal to combat the OP's repetitive nonsense. Apologies for my mistake. But, Jesus does say that not a word of the Mosaic or Noahide law shall be invalidated by his preaching. He was more of a revivalist than a reformer, if you want to put his rabbinical tenure in those late Christian terms.

If you forgive someone and still punish them with the penalty apportioned out by Law, then you are not punishing them due to a grudge on your part. You are impartially fulilling God's Law, for it is GOD who feels wrath towards sinners, and nobody else has the right to do so on his behalf.

Here's a real challenge for you 'humanists' and Christians.

I say to you: So what.

Your little list there, and most of this thread, amounts to little more than an exclamation: "Islam bad!!!" Can you explain why it is bad to be a conquering prophet?

So, all of the murders committed in the USA and the Christian world are committed by Muslims? I mean, that MUST be what you mean when you say that Christians don't commit murders daily. SOMEONE has to be committing these dozens of daily murders in the USA alone!

he said he came to fulfill it. what he meant by that was, he kept the law perfectly. yet, he stopped men from stoning to death a woman caught in adultery. so clearly if he meant for us to continue to keep mosaic law, he would've been compelled to allow the men to continue stoning the woman. he would not have said "first among you without sin, cast the first stone," as that was never a condition of the law, that the stoners would have to be sinless. there are tons of examples that point directly to his work as a fulfillment

You do just hate Islam and no other religion? I don't care what you say, EVERY RELIGION DOES THE SAME THING. Every religion says their way is the right way and all others are wrong, no different from the Jews, the christians, and many others.

The religion of Islam, doesn't support the terrorist attacks, they condemn it, every religion has their crazies, that is what the Taliban is, except they are loaded with guns, because us arms dealers sold them the very weapons they use against the free people.

Are you people blind, there is countless propaganda against islam, yet supporting Israel, are you so blind and ignorant that you don't realize the people bringing the propaganda are trying to start a religious war.

I have met many muslims and Islam supporters, yet even they say, they and their religion does not support the bloodshed, in the Koran (which i have taken the time to read some of it to compare to the bible, very similar might i add) anyway the Koran says, you should befriend your neighbors even if they are not believers of Allah, respect them, like they respect you.

Basically treat others, how you wish to be treated, and look many Americans treat them like crap, they do not respect or tolerate the muslim people, and you wonder why some don't like you?

For the first time, in a long time. They are fighting for their rights, for free speech, for the ability to vote, these people in the middle east, for fighting for the very democracy we have in Canada and America, so how can you blame the people themselves, which the situation is more complex.

Look at the bible, years after years of texts being taken out or placed in, generations down the line, they don't know the real story, only the one they are being feed. Like how some middle eastern religious leaders, tell their people to hate the west, some believe it because it is all they are told, much like you Americans and your commercial products, and bias religious beliefs, many religious in America see their religion as the "correct" one, and call others heretics.

They are a little behind the times, it is called developing nation for a reason, and you developed nations seem to look down on them, even though you have a large series of problems you just ignore. So really nobody is higher up than anyone else, you are all just a bunch of humans with your own preconditions.

Both nations being told a different story, don't fall in with the ignorant.

The sign says "deny ignorance"
It doesn't say, spread ignorance, I am referring to your propoganda filled post.
You Americans are fed a lot of BS, and you eat it up like candy.

Talk to a real muslism, ask him or her because their religion, if you are nice and ask with respect and kindness, they will answer.

However if your going to be an American jackass, don't even bother asking them anything.

Americans annoy me (only the ignorant racist ones)

Wow. I am shocked at many of the replies here.

Seriously...have you read a Qu'ran?
No?
So shut the frog up.
People take quotes and misuse them, twist their meaning...

...JUST LIKE POLITICIANS.

The Qu'ran doesn't promote it. It's the INTERPRETATION, yes, INTERPRETATION that people have when digesting it. Hell it's the UPBRINGING as well. Some kids get schooled to believe it's right.

Please read the entire book before making a judgement.

Islam doesn't promote terrorism. Case in point: Egypt. The people, mostly Islamic, endured 20+ years of dictatorial rule, and now are finally protesting - PEACEFULLY - and the extremists (foreign governments) are causing chaos.

As an agnostic atheist, I find almost all structured religions of the world to be dangerous, delusional, and promoting the worst in people.

In saying that, I would rather be dealing with a christian fundamentalist than a islamic fundamentalist. the x-ian's core teaching is to try to make me see the light. They will engage in intellectual debate (sometimes). They will get angry and perhaps even swing, but rarely will they go all jihad.

To me, its pretty easy. islam is todays really nasty religion. That is the one that truely grips the followers in fear..and no doubt that is why its soo big (people love living in fear for some reason)

Its a religion that has been weaponised to be used almost strictly for attacking.

I have no issue with arabs, persians, etc...good people at the core, but the religion the majority of em follow I find repulsive. I am not racist (islam is not made for a specific race). I find islam a religion for monkeys. truely inferior and small.

If someone decides to call me a racist, well, they need look no further than themselves for assigning a race to all of islam...like me saying christians are only for white people.

Hitler's crusade ended in 46 (yes, he was christian and the nazi movement was a christian movement). However, I agree...history of nutcase leaders does not represent todays current situation.

Dude are you really arguing pro terrorism and violence? Is it just some pointless rhetorical exercise or is it really your opinion?

Your moral relativism is disgusting.

Islam is now what Christianity was in the middle ages. It took hundreds of years of effort until Christianity was turned from a fascist bloodthirsty ideology into todays largely irrelevant social construct. Islam still lives primarily in the middle ages. It was only some decades ago when progressive modern ideas began to slowly spread into that corner of the world from developed nations, and altough things are getting better, there is still a lot of time and effort before us.
