Indeed. I can see the "little impact" Islam is having on Egypt right now.
So I am sorry I do not buy the notion that what is happening in the ME is Jihad, or that Jihad is aimed at Western fears.. IMHO it is people who want some of the freedoms others have, and I don't blame them one bit.

Also, I should mention that one should NEVER learn about Islam from a muslim. Why?
1. The muslim you are talking to is probably more ignorant about their system of social control (Islam) than you are and thus you will learn nothing of value.
2. The muslim you are talking to is very knowledgeable about Islam...and thus will lie to you, the infidel, in an effort to spread Islam.
The last 1,000 years of European history is basically one giant blood bath between Islam and the West. Go learn about the Jihad from the blood soaked pages of history.
Most "muslim" nations have no memory of their past. Just look at Egypt. They do not remember their history.edit on 3-2-2011 by mike_trivisonno because: (no reason given)

Egypt now fears Obama a 'Manchurian President' 'They are trying to understand why he is acting against U.S. interests'
Posted: February 02, 2011 8:43 pm Eastern © 2011 WorldNetDaily
Top members of the Egyptian government say they feel betrayed by President Obama, charging that he is acting against American interests.
"Mubarak's regime feels Obama is pushing the advancement of the Muslim Brotherhood against U.S. interests," said WND's Jerusalem bureau chief and senior reporter Aaron Klein. "They are genuinely trying to understand why Obama is seemingly championing the anti-regime protests."
Klein said that a top Egyptian diplomat with whom he has developed a rapport over the last few years asked him earlier this week to explain Obama's motivation to support the opposition to Mubarak. "I told him none of this should be a surprise," said Klein, "that the Obama administration has developed an extensive relationship over the last few years with allies of the Muslim Brotherhood.

What are you talking about?
There is almost no Christian influence on Egypt at present. Their Coptic past has been erased.
Egypt looks toward Mecca and the black rock from space, not Rome.
In any event, the false religious dressing, sloppily draped over the real violence of Islam, is sweet, sweet candy for the masses to eat. Most muslims are ignorant of system to which they have been yoked. A system that demands their death should they dare to remove that yoke.

watch and see the Islamic Brotherhood insert itself into any formation of government,
or else spur on militant actions in an -up-to-now- democratic, non-violent exercise...
the IB and other reactionary & violent groups (say a Taliban in Egypt, AlQaida in NAfrica...)
will take away the peaceful process...because their aim is to have all Islamic states
in the militant column with a combined Turkey+Iraq+Iran+Arabian Peninsula as the
germ of the 21st century Islamic caliphate being reborn
this may have started out as Egypt-Sudan-Libyan-Algerian-Morrocan-Tunisian rebellion
against repressive regimes that were getting paid-off by the USA to remain tyranical
to their populations...and remain semi loyal to the USA empires' wishes
Albert Pikes concluding WWIII is being formed, staged, set-up, with a lot of help from covert groups

Mubarak Obama: Political Arbitrageur
February 3rd, 2011 by maxkeiser
American foreign policy is: flood the world with cheap debt and see what happens.
If a dictator pops up that will support a huge money laundering operation in Tel Aviv support that.
If a terrorist organization appears that’s running guns to thugs on an oil company’s payroll support that. Nowhere does America, with its hundreds of military bases around the world, stand ready to fight for an ideal.
Easy money, to fund corrupt elections back home, to elect corporate shills, defines the political landscape.
In Egypt when the uprising was not taken seriously at first, the administration sided with the dictator.
When it looked like the people might topple the crooks, the White House put out a statement that was conveniently ambiguous and vaguely supportive of the insurrection.
Either the Pentagon gets to sell billions in weapons to the dictator or Apple, McDonald’s, Starbucks and Disney get to sell billions of stuff to the people.
Either Egypt and Israel get to run the world’s biggest ghetto in Gaza for easy profits or they create a commerce zone of cheap labor and Facebook prisoners clicking in the name of the Prophet.
Obama is a political arbitrageur playing both sides of the political spectrum not unlike JP Morgan did during WW II, famously supporting Hitler until it looked like Hitler was a loser and then flipping sides. Ultimately this is the single greatest threat to America’s continuation as a viable economic and political entity.
Duplicitous hedge fund like political day trading by Obama and his staff of politcal quants and wonks is nibbling society to death as surely as bank fees and rising credit card costs. Obama, and by extension America, stands for nothing.

No. I will not.
You can learn this yourself. I will not use the deaths of Egyptians as a sport for your entertainment.
