Sounds like China is doing whats best for China and its people! We should be so lucky... Our leaders only preform tasks for personal political and or financial benefit. And have stripped our liberty's in the process. We should just sell the hole damn country to the Chicoms in exchange for calling the debt even, then just let them run the place. Would be preferable to the coming dollar collapse for those of you in major city's. Id hate to see good people, outnumbered by savage welfare trash fighting for the last scrap of bread when the free lunch ends.

Lowering yourself to personal attacks by calling every person contradicting YOUR delusions shills? You have obviously been proven wrong and the first few people who "supported" your cause have all stopped replying. I wonder why, they all realized that you've been wrong all along.

The "shills" as you call them are all right. You're a paranoid, delusional person, who is doing nothing more than fear-mongering. It's sickening and I can't wait until this is moved into the skunk works section.

Why are people getting so worked up about?

OP made a thread, and people can agree or disagree with it.

My opinion is the facts show that there really isn't anything to worry about - so just move along to another thread of interest.

First off, I don't believe you.

Second, when a person in debt finds some 'lawful loophole' to get out of his debt without paying it, everybody goes berzerk and says no matter what you have to pay your debt. You wanted this product or lifestyle so you have to pay it.

Well, if all of this were true, shouldn't we be obligated to pay what we owe?

I don't recall signing any contract to with China to go into debt do you? I don't recall giving any consent for anyone to do it on my behalf so you?

I guess the Chinese is going to turn the US in the spheres of influences. But each area would be owned by companies.

Revenge I suppose?

Well, if you voted in the last 30+ years, yes you have...because it's the politicians you voted for who borrowed money from China. And BOTH parties happily borrowed...mostly because it was the only way to stay afloat given all those expensive wars.

FTZ's are not owned by the country using them.
If the FTZ is in the United States, Its US sovereign territory.
ICE (Immigration / Customs Enforcement) has no jurisdiction in an FTZ because the items are duty free, and fall under the jurisdiction of the Treasury and Commerce deparments.
An FTZ is used between countries who have import quotas, like the ones that exist between China and the US.

Yes they are all over the US because contrary to popular belief, the US has many, many points of entry for International trade aside from The Ports of NEw York / Jersey / Californa.

The original post is hilarious. The Chinese coming in and setting up factories were they can import production goods without being heavily taxed is a GOOD thing, no, a GREAT thing. Let us face it, our economy is poop right now, and the Chinese coming it and setting up a hundred or so factories across the United States would make our unemployment rates PLUMMET.

Yeah gee well if it is such a great thing then why offer it to the Chinese? Why not instead offer the same deregulation and tax free zones to the American people? But no instead it is offered to a foreign country and people actually believe it is good for us... Why the hell do you think we don't have any jobs now? Because we imported them to places like China by regulating our industry literally to death. How duped can Americans get?

A non-tariff zone in no way means the Chinese can come in and start making nukes and bringing in undocumented workers to secretly Trojan Horse America...the land is still the United States, and isn't just a wide open 'no mans land', it's just a place where foreign governments are encouraged to set up shop because we won't cut massive holes into their bottom line with our taxes and tariffs. It's going to do a hell of a lot more good than bad, especially when they hire all American taxpayers and workers.

If the land is still the united state how come anything made there is considered an Import? Read the law folks.

Also, stop fear-mongering about communists. If anything, this is another huge step towards total-capitalism in China, which is huge for everyone. They're going to come to the United States and set up factories and hire American workers...I'm not seeing the problem.

Sure as soon as you stop the ignorance and denial. The facts and examaples are the. The Long beach port is taken over and run my Chinese nationals why would we expect anything different with these?

Also, we were never at war with Communism. We were at war with the USSR because they were the only country that could rival us in the military aspect. The reason we went to war with Cuba (although brief) and Vietnam was because if they were Communist, then the USSR could use them as satellite nations for ICBM stations etc.

I stand corrected. So I guess we spent ten years in Vietnam to fight freedom and democracy then?

First of all, the American people already profit because FTZs create jobs. Secondly, even a donkey would see that creating a FTZ for American products in the US would be beyond laughable as there's no import taxes on products produced and then sold in the US in the first place.

And the cycle of ignorance of the understanding of how the political system really works just repeats in an endless loop. Sorry I am not an employee or officer of the corporation they do not have my consent to do anything on my behalf and even those who unwittingly consent and sign thier lives away the contract and its nature have never been fully disclosed voiding any contract. Not that you would understand...

Let's just hope that whatever the hell is going on the Chinese and American people aren't fighting and giving each other crap. It's the governments that are doing this, the people need to stick together. Just make sure to hide your Tibetan flags if this is true, I don't think the Chinese government like them.

It is to late guy's. The greedy corporate scum and the political lap dogs have sold their own country and people out.
Our votes have counted for nothing for about 50 years. Our country is just one big corporation and we have just witnessed a hostile take over. Soon the name United States will just be that; A NAME! rights? our rights are just a figment of our imagination. Get use to it or if anyone tries to stand up for it then they will be dealt with. That's not the Chicago way...it's the Communist way. It's to late for me. All I can do now is save every dime I have for my daughter and make sure she can get out of the country in the future....if there even is a future.

The us doesn't pay its debts by giving up sovereign land that the feds have no power to give up...

I promise you there are enough people in America that aren't blinded by shoving their heads in the sand that this won't work out well for any of the parties involved.

Well then I guess it was laughable when that very concept built this nation into the most prosperous nation on earth. And now all the sales taxes and business taxes, and licensure, permits, and operational fees have killed American industry and you think the solution is to give China a break to manufacture here? How about giving Americans a break. get rid of government stranglehold on commerce and the economy would soar back to life. We don't need the Chinese. I have three businesses I would start if it weren't for all the government BS I would have to go through to start them.

Our wealth has been stolen our industry murdered by these policies and it's amazing people actually believe a good solution is to take it to the next level and let the murderers start industry in place of that which they have murdered? And I am not only talking about China but the traitorous politicians who killed this country for thier own gain by enabling it all

I said Idiots in plural and couldn't think of a better example but since you've insisted oh well..........Barack Obama! yeah i said it now. It's funny how Americans are so scared of invasion yet it never happens. America just remember that what you do will come back to you. How do you think the middle eastern children feel when you mention America? After all the families and lives you destroyed? Or the Palestinian Children when you mention Israel?, And you Americans are shaking in your closets in your large houses in private neighborhoods screaming their coming for us!?????? Remember that your life may be paradise compared to millions of other peoples. Millions of children that have lost things that money can never buy. Millions of children that are tormented with the memories of war playing inside their minds. Go and worry about your mortgages and credit scores.......stop the fear mongering.

P.S Not all Americans of course.

Look, it's really simple...let's look at the pros/cons of those FTZ for the American people:

Pros:

- Jobs
- Tax income...because yes, the companies operating here will still pay taxes.

Cons:

- ...

That's the main effect those FTZ will have. You not being happy with business taxes and the regulations the US imposes on companies (including foreign companies operating here) have nothing to do with the FTZ. You might not like those regulations, but that's something you have to take up with your representative.

You trying to blame China somehow makes you look really silly...especially given that people here refuted every single one of your accusations. Hell, you claimed the people working at FTZ would be Chinese, when in reality, most will be US Americans who'll be happy about those jobs. You also claimed the people there or the companies somehow stand above US law, which is also complete hogwash. And lastly, you imply these FTZ are a bad thing when in reality, it's something the US economy needs desperately to stimulate growth and jobs.

And all that because you apparently don't see that the economic issues the US is facing are largely based on homegrown mistakes...and NOT foreign countries. I guess it's always easier to blame others...but you're delusional if you believe the current crisis isn't US-made.

The dollar has not fallen. Read the market?..or can you? One thing is clear you have never priced anything...global or local. You price currency in the morning when Hu "fake" prices the yuan and, please, get back to us.

FYI, the people on this site are serious.

At the top of the page there is an audio of a radio show that goes through this and what going on. You can listen on the site or download an MP4 of it. Worth the listen.

republicbroadcasting.org...

Customs will only randomly inspect what goes in and out of these places. And local police cannot inspect what goes in an out unless asked to by customs

Also they have to create ten jobs for American workers however that is defined as anyone with a green card or right to work in America. And the Chinese that come to these will be eligible for a green card and US citizenship in five years. So they will not be providing a bunch of jobs for Americans they will be bringing thier own people here to work and become citizens.
