Mods, I wasnt sure where to place this. either in the UFO section or the God section. Thanks

I may not have seen a UFO, or God, but I happen to believe in BOTH

lol your forgetting people who HAVE actually seen u.f.o.'s and thought the subject was for crackpots upto seeing one.

not all u.f.o. believers believe through faith, lots of them have seen proof and witnessed it. (and don't say why did'nt they film it, when in all likely hood they did'nt expect to see it. they did'nt go i know what i am going to do today, i am going to see a u.f.o., i better take my camera.)

This one is easy!

God exists in the imagination of man,
Aliens exist on other planets.

One is a figment, the other is a life form.

Very easy to believe in both. One is there to make you feel less insecure about the world and universe, the other has evolved and discovers new worlds in the universe.

The two can't be compared. No one has killed in the name of UFO's.

Due to the vast size of the universe there is a high chance of alien life there is100% no chance of god why do I say that, because MAN creates god not the other way its that simple.

In every location on earth people had THEIR gods, how do gods come about, when people dont understand what is going on around them them.

Look at the Norse god Thor the god of thunder, they did not undestand what caused thunder so a god was created to solve the problem. So we end up with sun, moon and sea gods etc, etc.

god doesn't exist its a story to give power and position to a bunch of chancers.

Here is a link to some of the gods MAN has created.

I'd like to reverse the question. If people can believe in a supernatural invisible God, why not believe in physical UFOs and Extraterrestrials?

Lets look at Ockham's razor. Which is more likely? an invisible spirit magically creating man out of thin air with the wave of his hand or an advance extraterrestrial race coming to earth in the remote past altering the genetics of life on earth to produce the modern day human being? You see this is why this subject can not be disclosed to the public because of the religious contradictions. All ancient civilizations tell us that beings from the sky created us including the ancient Sumerians. Even the Holy Bible slips out a little truth when it says in the book of Genesis "Let US create man in OUR own image" This explains the alien abduction and why these beings are taking our genetic material. It appears as though they are still changing our genetics and it looks like we will "evolve" again at some point. But before that happens the current version of human being will have to become extinct and you know what that means. Its just a matter of how. Another ice age? an astroid impact? nuclear war? It seems as though this cycle has happened on earth time and time again so we know its going to happen. With aliens altering our DNA, how can you explain to the world that our fate is in the hands of extraterrestrials? How can you explain to the world that human beings are alien hybrids? You just can't and this is the primary reason for the cover up.

The number of people who claim to have been abducted by UFOs, and who have seen UFOs, outnumber the people who claim to have been abducted by, or seen God, about a million to one.

Also, which God do you mean? The typical Hebrew god that is foisted off as the creator of the universe? Nobody believes in him anymore, except Jews and deluded Gentiles who are too stupid to crack a book and find out about their own gods.

proof of aliens lends me to believe in proof of a god. if we're not alone even on this planet, and everything....EVERYTHING is interconnected down to the molecular level, that's proof positive that there's a creator. not some luck of the draw...

Because UFO's do exist (Unidentified Flying Objects) so things that fly that can not be identified, that more or less could be anything, military projects, unknown weather phenomenons, not necesserily Aliens. So UFO's exist, there is no doubt about it, nobody's ever seen God, so we can not be sure God exists, just speculation. My take is that God is just a name for an unknown energy, that we do not yet understand (let's say, why not "the God Particle") that created everything, but humans have to put a name on everything, we could have named God "Zypoglocluious" for exemple and it still would have been the same. Everything has to have a name. And we also have to personify things that we energys we don't understand (Devils, Angels, Ghosts etc...), coz who really believes that God is an old dude standing on a cloud, having a pee and flooding some place ?... As that's what kids are more or less taught, silly indoctrination... We see God as a person just because we are taught that as soon as we learn how to read and write, that if we pray enough and hard enough and give out enough money our demands will be answered, and that is really absurd.
But anyway God does exist as something at one point in time created everything, but what ? That is another question.

Maybe your question should have been "If you believe in Aliens, why not believe in God ?" ?

You answered your own question in the OP...!!

There have been photo's of UFO's..!!

Weather or not, they are aliens isn't provable I would agree..

However, has anyone taken a photograph of what they believe to be God?

I have never seen a photograph of a UOD (Unidentified Omnipitant Deity).

Hey don't get me wrong, I have nothing agains god, exept for the fact that god as the bible describes it is a load of primitive funk.

I do believe there is a higher power in the univserse, in fact I believe the universe we are a part of is the greater being. I simply don't believe there's some old guy, with a flowing long white beard, flowing white robes, siting on a throne in the clouds, waving his hand and smiting the non-believers with plauges and famine.

The Universe is my god and all things within it are it's children (including the pilots of OFU's)..

When I think of God, i don't think of " man in the clouds/heaven, who is omnipotent and created everything and hears all your prayers and so on..."

I think God, is energy. plain and simple. I think God is the 'intelligent" field of energy that permeates the universe, Do i think it created the universe? no. Do i think it had a hand in 'boosting' our evolution and evolution of other intelligent beings? yes.

I believe in UFOs as well as aliens. UFOs, because they are just objects that are not identified. Aliens, because I believe not only that they have been proven to some extent, but because if they did not exist, it seems the endless cosmos is a lonely place.

I don't pray to God, but if i had to, i would rather pray to the universe as a whole. And that goes for worship, reverence, and doing something in the name of a higher being.

I hate when Religious fanatics get so stuck on the concept of God, that they lose sight of the importance. Like the people who pray to God every day, and then treat others terribly and tease them. That's not very God-like of them. I'm not religious in that sense, but i still treat others kindly. I like to think we're more evolved than that, but some people can't control their emotions very well.

Depends on what you mean with God.
God as depicted in the Bible or, Tora or Koran no.
But a higher force of wich we are a part of that influences our excistance?
Sure, why not?.

We actually have more proof of UFOs than proof og God, but I believe in God more than I do ufos. With project bluebook, and many military pilots claiming to have seen ufos in the 40s, outstanding video footage also. With lights in the sky starting from the battle of LA, to the glowing ufos haunting police officers trying to protect their towns from the onslaught of early cattle mutilations in the mid 70s, to the invasion of Colares Brazil and murder of inteligence officer for coming out with the truth of the event.

There is no proof of God, making room for even more people to talk like chickens over the subject, gobbling at each other and getting nowhere. In order to see God you have to understand your place in time, that it is not you who controls time, but God is the master of time. You will be able to see God in the time event that is created. Other than that you don't see God til you die I believe.

Interesting.

Belief in GOD is mostly a belief in an afterlife. That there is more to our existence than this minuscule-short time on the planet. There are an abundance of religions around the globe, I personally don't know any that don't have an afterlife section in their belief, but I could be mistaken. If there is an afterlife, that means there is hope for us after we've died. Now one of the posters above said there are more people who have claimed to see UFOs than those that claimed to see God.

What if we compare the numbers of those who saw UFO's to those who've had psychic encounters with ghosts, either strangers or loved ones. Ghosts or other such phenomena seem to suggest a thriving afterlife. There are even those who claim to have been there, seen it.

Organized religion has always been a form of subservience. Obey or be punished harshly in the next life. It has also been used as an excuse for all manner of horrors. Give me this land, my god says this is our land, we are the chosen people. I have always thought it was a mistake to blindly follow organized religion. That being said I am Roman Catholic. Do I believe in God. Yes. As a being that helped shape the design of our world and species. As a guide in the afterlife. As a father figure who watches us. Sure all of the above.

As for evidence...look around at the people around you. Why do they tick? What is the life force keeping that piece of meat animated and thinking? Science as yet cannot create a life force from nothing. Science throughout time has always proven to be flawed. "we are positive the earth is flat! kill those who think otherwise."
I'm sure in the coming centuries our scientists will be laughed at by their ancestors as being crude and primitive.

Aliens, yeah it's almost certain they exist. Odds are WWwaaayyy in favor of it. Universe is a big place.

I also believe that our God would be theirs. Does that mean they see him the same way, or even acknowledge him? No. We have lots of scientists, and even people on this board who don't believe. So I imagine Aliens would have the same disparity.

Parting words : Station!*

*Hope you get the reference and the relevance

Relativeley speaking, there is more concrete evidence in hand for the existence of a UFO/ET presence than there is for the Christian deity, or any other deity for that matter

Incidently, I believe firmly in the former, severly mistrust any earthly religion, but do hold out hope in favour of there being a higher power, and a purpose to our being.

You believe in god because as a memeber of the RC Church you are brainwashed from a child like all religions there is NO god MAN creates all gods plain and simple.

As for your flat earth story how many thinkers were punished by your church if they went against their belief of the earth being the centre of the univervse try thinking for yourself and you soon see god is a load of BS to give a bunch of chancers some power and position.

No arguments. The RC church is an organized religion. All the organized religions indoctrine you from childhood. I have my issues with them as I said.

You're free to not believe in a higher power, free will and all that.

Don't think I've ever spoken to a true atheist though, so you mind telling me a bit about it?

--What happens when you die?
--If there is no judgment / no afterlife. Then what stops you from going buckwild crazy and enjoying every moment of this short life? Why work in that cubicle, sit in that classroom? If there is no final reward and this is all we have, why not kill those that get in your way, if you know humans won't catch you. If all you have to fear is other humans, is that enough to keep you in check?
--Do you believe in an afterlife? Ghosts? Spirits? reincarnation?

Just curious, not judging.
