Did you ever see the British film (based upon the 1958 BBC television series) made in 1967 "Quatermass and the Pit"?

......if you like Mr Pyle's theory you will love the film (okay, some of the effects are a bit dated but the concept is great and you may experience a sense of deja vu!)

Thank you, I will check that out. You bring up some good points but I'm running short on time so I can't address everything. But just for the record I'm not disputing evolution whatsoever, it's proven. All I'm saying is that something interfered with our evolution (be it extraterrestrial entities or not) and created a sudden spike in our intellectual capabilities. I just wonder as to what anomaly can cause this because it has never been seen before in any other species, only human.

Were I to opt for a theory, I would be more inclined to favour a breeding program (not unlike we do with cattle and race horses and the like) that enabled us as a species to develop at an accelerated rate by mating those individuals who displayed positive or desired traits ( stronger, leaner, more intelligent) . I don't think it calls for the introduction of alien DNA to be put into the mix.

I would also presume that a civilisation with the ability to wiz across the cosmos would also have the ability to undertake genetic manipulation and introduce "snips" into our DNA that could also accelerate various levels of development. Once again, no need for the hit and miss technique of cross mating.

Of coure, the big question would be why?

Perhaps it is our vanity to presume that there is some grand purpose to the scheme......after all, we breed dogs to be our pets and like intelligent breeds because they respond better to our commands, perhaps the same fate was (is) destined for us?

With you on this-It always surprises me,given the reported sightings and contacts,that the aliens are possibly even more pants than we are-they certainly don't seem to display signs of higher intelligence.

I am a skeptic and I certainly never said there was not other life in the universe, I don't see how that automatically translates to they are visiting us.

Sorry I can't take anything you say seriously if you believe watching some clips is enough evidence and that research is not needed. I call that being gullible, sorry for the straight shooting but somebody needs to tell it as it is.

Going by your statements, It could be said you blindly accept everything you watch, rather than question and review the evidence. Yes have an open mind but not so open so your brain falls out!

A lot of lights in the sky can be explained away with logical explanations, but because they are lights in the sky which don't conform with your view doesn't mean they are aliens.
