Do it.
Even if he takes credit, you'll know the real story.
Just keep copies and records for reference so if it is to ever become an issue.
Share the data.
The data is the important part, the susbstance.
Sherlock Holmes would tried never to make a deduction until he had enough data.
Remember, science is collaboration.

As an early warning system I think you are right and it would not work. I use it to notify people once something has happened and to feed to my website also as news. By the time I tweet it is already 10 minutes out of date but you can guarantee it is not in the news yet and might never be. A lot of people like to know about earthquakes even if the event is not near them. He has a lot of followers though. Nothing has been tweeted by him since I followed.

I know the reservoir was down. But had there been any rain recently in Uzbekistan?

Puterman, I've discovered something odd. Long ago, you provide a map with wells in Arkansas on my crazy thread. On that map, I found an injection well south of Quitman. While I was looking for that map, someone on the Arkansas thread found the government one. Funny, it's changed. On the old map, it shows an injection well. In the new one, it shows none. Odd, isn't it?

More quakes in Central Arkansas. 13 quakes in the last five days. And they're not isolated to one area. They're popping up at different locations and depths.

You can't call it the start of another swarm. Because they're too helter skelter.

I'm honestly begining to think this is the start of a serious readjustment phase.
Sorry, deluding myself and thinking I'm in a bad sci-fi movie again.

Yeah I was surprised.
I was waiting until I had covered the whole 100 years and even further back before saying what I thought, its too hard to see trends over just a few decades.
One reason it is taking so long is trying to be accurate, a lot of cross checking.
Since including the USGS Centennial list there are about 15% more quakes above Mag 7 to include.

Anyone want to take a jab at this? It's the station nearest my house...

CMW - Pacific NW

When that link expires, you can find it HERE ...the CMW station.

There's a 2.8 quake at 1400 UTC that shows up nicely (was SW of there by 60 miles or so)....I am talking about the activity between 1930 and 2100....weather is not a factor. This is located outside town in rolling hills near a lake. (no train nearby)

Norway actually had an earthquake last night.

www.jordskjelv.no...

The site is in norwegian but i can translate the most important.

Date/time.: 2011/07/21 03:59:16
Location: Ca. 11 km nord for Elverum (60,98°N 11,58°E)
Mag: 3,8
Depth: ca. 10 km

Im surprised. We live about 95 km away from the epicenter, and we felt it pretty good. It was like a train drowe by.

PDF Package for Mag 6.0 in Magnitude 6.0 Solomon Islands. (Event ID usc00051ms) now available. (1.5 Mb download)

usc00051ms.zip

Due to dwindling image storage space on the blog the PDF file (Web Page) will only have the basic shake map. The Other shake maps will be included in the web site images package however as that area is not having space constraints (yet!)

Go for it! You have more than enough evidence and witnesses that it is your own work and even if not specifically stated your creative work is covered by copyright.

I would suggest - and I have not checked - that if you have not already done so you should include a Creative Commons license on the pages of you blog. The side bar will do as then it covers every page. I was looking at this myself yesterday.

Here is an example of what would be on your web

This is the home page of Creative Commons

I am assuming that your link has moved on and you were looking at the 20th.

Try looking at it on this - it is easier: CMW.UW..EHZ.2011.201

There is a quake just before 14:13, followed by a huge telemetry spike. Looks like another small more distant quake at 21:47:30 approx and a bunch of interference around 20:40 - 20:50.

Your 14:13 quake is this one:

Date/Time UTC,Latitude,Longitude,Magnitude,Depth(Km),Location
2011-07-20 14:12:37, 47.747, -122.550, 2.8, 25.3, Seattle-Tacoma Urban Area. Washington

Moving on to today CMW.UW..EHZ.2011.202 there is another telemetry spike at c 08:05+

Are you inferring that the New Madrid is triggered by the visitation of this comet?

I was unable to locate a comet by the name of 'Comet 1993VD,' but did locate information about 'Asteroid 1993VD.'

Is this the object to which you are referring?

Are you saying that you think something will happen in late October?

I just wanted to include this if anyone is interested.

This morning my husky was acting really strange. Lately he has been acting kind of weird. He wants to always be close to myself or my wife, constantly following us or getting under foot.

This morning he was even more clingy.

I know that there has been some discussion in the past regarding the reactions of pets and animals prior to a movement of the earth, so I wanted to put this out there for anyone interested.

I am in Minnesota which is not very active with earth movements. When I checked the map this morning, I noticed that Asia and the Solomon Islands both had 6+ earthquakes and am wondering if my husky is feeling the vibrations caused by these quakes on the other side of the world or is there something big pending on this side of the world.

Your thoughts?

Be Well.

Hi Biship, there has been another member who has been reporting the past couple days that his dog(s) have been acting strange as well. Not sure exactly where he lives.

Not sure if you're dogs can sense those that are that far off, maybe someone else can answer that for you.
