Hatred for Muslims/Islam on ATS - where does it come from?

So, why does the whole world hate Muslims???

Why does the West, Russia, India, and East Asia hate Muslims???

Is it maybe because anywhere that Islam goes, violence and oppression ensues???

Is it because Muslims are the only group of people who never want to adapt to the host country's culture???

Is it because everywhere that Muslims go they always want to change the laws of the land in order to fit their "Sharia" way???

Is it because these people are so barbaric that they stone their women and hang homosexuals???

Is it because Muslims consider everyone else to be an inferior "infidel" and must be killed/converted???

I don't know OP, you tell me why everyone hates Muslims.

I don't think they need to assimilate. Infact I hate the idea of assimilation. After we have one world government, we're going to wind up with an assimilated multi-cultural hodge-podge of vanilla pudding blandness. Muslims can keep their culture. If they want to stone themselves, fine, I hate it, but that's their choice. I have a problem when shariah is enforced on non-Muslims. The ancient Jews didn't enforce Jewish law on other people and have considered stoning barbaric for nearly 2,000 years.

Having lived and worked for a number of years in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan I totally agree. When you're on their turf, they make no bones about jihad.

It means submission to the universal order.

I don't see the difference between disliking an extremist from one race to another. However, it's the power to see past the stereotype that really matters.

Pew Forums has the number at 1,570,000,000. So if we count 1% of them as terrorists, that's an awful lot of bogey-men running loose. And guess what? They have cousins and baby muslims. I wish people would stop using that worn out canard, as if the issue is being overstated. It isn't; if anything, it's being minimized by it's supporters.

Islam creates its own hatered just like the hardline Jews and Christians. Its just at this moment in time they are the current bogey man or loudest kid on the block throwing a tantrum.

Don't think for a minute though they are all sweetness and light like any folowers of a religion have a dude in a pair of pajamis tell them to kill and they will.

There is no getting away from it though Islam is not a pretty religion. For example I or you can to a point pick or choose the parts of the bible we like find a sect of Christianity we want to follow, we can change our minds join a new sect, try that in Islam and the only punishment is death.

Any religion that wants to kill its followers for choosing a different god is no better than the many wierd and dangerous cults that have, been or are around in my opinion.

That's interesting. The MSM purposefully calls Christians, those that have no use for "homosexuals, anti abortionists, the US military, constitutionalists, and a great many more; "terrorists, homophobes, radical right wing extremists, racists, murders etc. All I have seen from MSM is the name calling against those who choose not to accept the muslim. IE Oreilly on the View a few weeks back.

As a "White man" I too have faced prejudice. One example: In 1980 I walked into a County maintenance shop for jobs that were being listed as "open for applications". Walking into the building we were met by the "Chief of Operations". He asked if we were applying for these positions and we answered, "yes". His reply was, and this is exactly what was said; "Sorry boys...you are the wrong shade of skin and you have too much meat hanging". He too was "white". This was not the only time it happened. "Affirmative Action"; equals legalized reverse discrimination. When I hear people talk about how they suffered from "prejudice and discrimination", all I can say is "who hasn't"? Everybody discriminates and is discriminated against in some form or fashion. It's called "Life isn't fair, then again who said it would be"? One thing is for sure. "Death is certain, life is not".

As far as muslim hating, TPTB can't legislate us into loving, liking or accepting those we choose not to. Every one has their reasons. To say that muslim haters are prejudice, ignorant, uneducated and just plain out scum, is only an opinion of those that have not experienced certain things and have little or no knowledge as to what is happening in this and other Nations today. How about Lawyers? There are some good and some bad. (mostly bad) Anyone that chooses to hate them all should have that right. No one can legislate whether or not, we as individuals, will accept or deny anything we choose to deny or accept. For the fools that tried that in the past (NAZI Party) it should be self evident that people are people and nothing can keep us from our own personal feelings. As many here at ATS do, I to, "Pick and choose" who I wish to associate with. I shall not have any one telling me that the Government requires that I have so many of this ethnicity or that ethnicity of friends or be deemed a criminal by that government. They shall not tell me I must "befriend" muslims or any one else. I'll do the choosing.

In the event that you read this post, you know that you shall not have someone telling you what to like or dislike. You are a proud man that just happens to be black. Like wise I am a proud man that happens to be White. The government and the media try to make criminals of any one that stands in their way. Do the words "Ruby Ridge", "Waco", "Whidbey Island" ring a bell? Oh they just happened to be all white people that the government decided to murder. Since when is it required that over 200 FBI and ATF are needed to make an arrest for the illegal possession of a sawed off shot gun and end up murdering a woman and a small boy? There is your definition of Prejudice. "To eliminate the objective with "extreme prejudice". These were the orders given to the ATF and FBI at Ruby and at Waco and at Whidbey Island. Now, what were you saying about muslims? We all have experienced prejudice in one form or another. I rest my case.

What I find interesting is the testimony of the Ex-Muslims out there, you know . . . the converts. They paint a very different picture of Islam than what is painted by its defenders here. They no longer need to tell the infidels lies because they no longer belong to that philosophy. I am not going to list any specific example . . . simply Google the subject for yourself and do your own research and your eyes will be opened. Many of these examples are verifiably speaking from a point of view and experience that know the Muslim world and Islam's doctrine well.

Who says your way is the right way?I'm not saying what they are doing is right but don't be a hypocrite!

This is why they are always fighting.All countries or religions have different beliefs so who's to say who's belief is the right one?

I say any country that makes slaves out of people like pretty much every country does..every country's leaders should be replaced.

Especially the ones that let their people starve to death.

Nice post. are you seriously trying to equate the prejudice that some white people have experienced via affirmative action with the discrimination that african-americans have experienced in america? are you really saying they're equivocal? because, if you are, I'm afraid you haven't looked at our history close enough, all due respect. They're not equivocal. white privilege is still alive and well, current economic situation(which affects us all) notwithstanding. I won't go into a long litany of things, but, sir, there's a saying: "you can't explain water to a fish". It means, you can't see the environment you live in clearly, because you're too close to it. hard to be objective about white privilege when you've always had it. It may not feel like it to you, depending on your economic and life circumstances, but you do have it. Now, as far as muslims go, they are the designated bogeymen. been that way for decades, a situation helped along by the israel lobby, because it serves their purposes to keep us at muslims' throats. the muslims that want to kill us are such a small number compared to peaceful muslims. they obviously have had an effect, but I refuse to hate a group of people simply because TPTB wants me to. the fact that they want us to at all is a clue that maybe these people aren't what they're made out to be.

Our worst enemies are right here at home, not afghanistan.

It was "cultural" they do not view "contracts" as we do. Also it was not just one or two individuals it was many over a sixteen year period.

As I said we do business with all types of people from all over the world. That subset is the only group I have had consistent problems with. 100% of that set of people broke their contracts!

I have occasionally had problems as any business person does but normally they are very few. This is why the Muslims as a group stood out so glaringly.
