PROOF: Wikileaks is censoring & deleting cables!!

With all due respect, just because someone is here on ATS for 10 days, doesn't make them any less credible. A lot of members have been on theses boards since before you joined, but never signed up or posted anything.

As for censoring stuff, they are omitting cables that throw off the balance in terms of truth for countries and against other countries. There is no balance.

As for the a lot of the info (ex. Lockerbie terrorist) they released, there is nothing there that is so top secret that the world would be in danger. A lot of the things that were released were pretty much known to many people.

WikiLeaks and Assange are tools.

As for us "acting like conspiracy fools," that's pretty harsh judgement. You don't like what is being posted here, why don't you go and post on pro-WikiLeaks boards…there are dozens on ATS.

Again, don't act as if you got sand in your vagina about WL editing stuff after publishing it. They said FROM THE START that they'll edit out stuff that compromises lives or puts people in danger. Given that they're all on their own going through things, because the governments refused cooperation even though they were asked to give input and save lives, it's not surprising that they sometimes edit files post publishing if it contains material that could put people in harms way. So far, no one has been harmed because of those cables, and if they have edit stuff post-publishing to make sure it stays that way, then by all means. You'd expect the same from any media outlet, no?

As for the files disappearing, not all of them are gone too. There's so many reason why files could (temporarily) disappear. Maybe they were filed in a wrong way, or contain information that put people's life at risk, or maybe they're moving around files on the server, ...

I think it's laughable that some muppets get so outraged over this when all the other media outlets would do the same!! If the US government would call the NY Times who publishes the cables, and tells them "please delete the name of this informant, he could get killed", they will do so, and so will Wikileaks. It makes SENSE to do it, and it's the right thing to do. Your outraged is beyond ridiculous!

well think bout it. if wikileaks was about getting he truth out to every one then we all would be sitting at our computers right now each looking at the big fat juicy file with all the cable's. ohh where not.

whats thier game cos im getting real tired of wikileaks, the whole thing has realy screwed peoples minds to think we might have got sum good information and i guess we never will

AHA! Another person that wants to deflect attention away from the whole thing being a put-up and supported operation to embarass about every country--oops! Now what is that one country with the newly created cyber attack unit not being embarassed too badly? Oh, yeah, Israel.

Suppose we consider that JA, being part Jewish, sells his plan to the Mossad and starts the ball rolling, but his org just ain't got the muscle to know the whole ins and outs of international intrigue and starts dumping stuff out true to his stated ideals...TRUTH!

Suppose the chief supporting outfit say, "WHOA! We wanna do that deleting because we know better." JA finds himself in a bind and has no choice because he foolishly let control of the game get out of his hands. So the more professional outfit minutely combs the material and further deletes what it considers to be important to its goals. Plus, likely dumping a lot of unimportant stuff also to cover their real intentions and agenda.

The signs are unmistakable. Can any of you imagine what sort of org JA would need to have in place conduct this complex of a business? Organizing a loose bunch of independent computer hackers and nerds are one thing, but to unite them into a disciplined, cohesive unit and swiftly train them to have a sense of the vastly complicated politics of international governments and make pertinent deletions? That is expecting to much from this new messiah. That is a job for a highly specialized unit of disinformation and deceit.

Obviously, JA has savvy partners that have made him the fall guy while taking over his campaign for their own benefit.

Do you have any idea how long it takes to go over 250,000 cables??? You can't just dump something like that all at once, it takes DAYS/WEEKS/MONTHS of editing work. They said from the start they don't want people like informants to lose lives because their names accidentally popped up in a cable. They need to examine every single cable before releasing it, and only a few newspapers like the Guardian/NYTimes help them since the government refused help. Whatsmore, have you ever read an original cable? It's almost written in code, and for the untrained eye, it takes a long time to make sense of the contents.

It's not as if WL doesn't wanna push those cables out faster, it's just a question of manpower and time it takes to sift through the material. They're JOURNALISTS, and not a bit torrent site that just dumps data files!

A true journalist--which JA is not--goes where the evidence leads. If he was of part Russian parentage and his outfit put out data from the beginning that favored Russia, we could have the same suspicions in that direction.

Now that damaging messages of Israel have been noticed by their absence, I have no doubt that we will see some that miraculously appear as if by command. In fact, I bet we can count on it.

I totaly agree from that piont of view that that you cant release all the data that includes names and place's that might put people lives at risk, but i do wish that more volume of cablea do get released before its too late.
How long is going to take for the goverments of the world and mainly america to catch people from annomymous and also all those that are involved in the paypal/visa/etc attacks and what about the stupid idiots that are gonna get a knock on the door because thier isp gave details of them downloading the malicous software to do such attacks

He did EXACTLY wheat other journalists do as well. If a regular journalist finds out about insider trading because one employee of a company rats the others out, that information is technically "stolen" as well...but it's still good journalists report on misconduct like that. Journalism should criticize the government, not do its bidding!

Sorry you don't like the information that came out, but they're facts, even if they're uncomfortable for a lot of people. Stop acting annoyed at WL and stop focusing your anger at all the things that are wrong in this world! Things the public wouldn't know without WL. Like torture in India, the fact that the US pretended to not knowing how many civilians died in Iraq (3 times more than terrorists), and all the other stuff. The public deserves to know.

People don't realize what a huge favor WL is doing the people. They highlight many things that are wrong in the world, and force countries be accountable for their actions...something we should all value!
