Most likely
The thing I find enlightening about the first photo, whether or not it is real or fake, is watching that 'debunking process in action
So here we have a previous thread on this image...
Picture of an Alien
www.abovetopsecret.com...
A collection of 'debunkers'... each line is a separate member and the thread is only 4 pages
ATS 'debunking' at it's finest
I remember reading in a book that this was a hoax photo made for Halloween. It said the supposed 'alien' is really a shaved monkey with a mask. I'll have to find the book again for the direct quote...
I thought this was debunked about 15 years ago as a shaven monkey...
I heard that it was a dwarf too. I heard that it was some type of circus sideshow or something (can't really rememba right now!)...
i remember hearing that it is just a shaved monkey used in an apirl fools day prank. But I cant help but wonder about the flaps of skin in the armpit area. has anyone heard the backstory to the photo?...
ive seen this before in a book it was an aprils fool joke and its some type of dummy lol u all thought this was real...
That picture has been around for years and as others continues to pop up. It's of such poor quality and looks so badly doctored without analysis. Rands points are very sound, but it's easier to sweep rational analysis for wishful thinking...
If you think that picture is "real," you are wanting to believe far too much...
For my two cents I believe it is a fake. Too many things wrong with the picture to be authentic. I also believe there is no such thing as an "alien" but merely Satan's "helpers" (demons) who are becoming more and more visible the closer we get to the end of the world...
that pic has been proven fake. I read that in a book that I have. they say some doctors done some examining on it and it was a big hoax...
Notice the people around him, the women and the two men in thick trench coats holding him up. This is Germany during WWII, the Germans were known for "steamming" jewish people to shrink them. Experiments were made such as injecting cement and other chemicals. Shrinking was one big experiment. It's a sad photo of human history....
EDIT: haha ... went back and read the comments about it being debunked already
NICE JOB ATS That's the ole debunker spirit in action...
Now as to the origin of the photo and story itself...
For example, the picture itself appears (with a brief discussion) in Margaret Sachs "UFO Encylopedia at page 75, which mentions that the article relating to the photograph appeared in a Cologne newspaper published around the 1950s.
www.abovetopsecret.com...
1949, New Mexico. Source and story unknown, but probably authentic. It can not be excluded the small being that can be seen is not of extraterrestrial origin.
thebiggestsecretpict.online.fr...
A copy of this photograph appears in UFO documents released by the FBI .One resident of Winchester, Virginia forwarded a copy of the photograph to the FBI in 1967 and a response dated 3 October 1967 sent in the name of J Edgar Hoover stated "I can assure you the photograph you mentioned does not represent employees of this Bureau" (FBI., 1967). The same letter also states that "the investigation of Unidentified Flying Objects is not and never has been a matter that is within the investigative jurisdiction of the FBI" - a statement that was rather misleading given the FBI's prior involvement in investigating UFO reports which has been demonstrated by other documents released by the FBI.
www.isaackoi.com...
“Above, one of the most impressive photos of an alleged extraterrestrial creature recovered from crashed UFOs. For many years it was thought the photo originated from a crash in the USA, but recently it was found it was captured in Germany, shortly before the Second World War. The officers who hold the being are high-ranking members of the SS” [Brazilian UFO mag, n.18, p.18, dec 1991]
“The June 1950 Talk of the Times reproduced a pair of photos received from Cologne, Germany, one of which is a retouched picture of Dr. E.W. Kay’s model saucer that appeared in the press on January 11, 1950. The other is of two agents holding up a small humanoid with proportions somewhat like a small monkey. The caption reads, “As one silver capsule broke: the first Mars man was captured! Eyewitness G-man, McKenerich, from Phoenix (Arizona), reports ‘I was astounded by the importance of this great moment. For the first time I was seeing a being from another world. At the same time I was equally amazed by the desperation of this Aluminum Man. His body was covered with a shiny metal foil.’ The observatory in Phoenix, Arizona, presumes that this is for protection from cosmic rays.””
magonia.haaan.com...
Putting together information from various sources, this photograph appears to have been:
(1) published in the German newspaper Neue Illustrierte (on page 3 of the 1 April 1950 edition, with the title "Der Mars-Mensch").
(2) admitted to have been a hoax / joke just a few days later. This admission has very rarely been mentioned in discussions of the photograph online or in print.
The history of the publication of this photograph in UFO books and publications tells a rather sorry tale. Some correct information has appeared in a few publications but not been disseminated while, on the other hand, false information in popular books has been repeated.
www.isaackoi.com...
But even funnier is that when the debunkers create a false image to prove their point... and that image then gets passed around to various websites as 'proof' of their theory... how come no one calls them on that?
falchtpram.jpg It's even labeled 'faked pram'
I produced this quick and dirty montage to show how indeed the two men’s hands are aligned, and in a position that suggests they were holding a rigid object. A baby carriage is a very good guess:
forgetomori.com...
Now all the readers will say "Oh yeah I heard that was debunked...it was a pram
So if we get a REAL photo of an alien or UFO, does anyone think it will ever make it to the top through all the BS? Or just get buried with the hoaxes from both sides of the fence?

Obviously real, a tree monkey alien in a speedo. And to think our tree dwelling counter parts were of earthly origin

I'd say they are all fakes. Can't prove it just yet. But then you can't prove that
they are real either.

Well, looks like you managed to gather in a single post some the tricks that always a debunker uses. Did they have a book of techniques to messed up cases? It should be the favorite book of many felows ATSers. This kind of void and recursive rhetoric, never adds anything to the posts and only serve to create confusion on who is really interested in finding out the truth.

That's hilarious! I was just about to say,

Wow.
I'm not trying to prove anything. You, otherwise, seems to be desperate to prove they dont.
Your argument is redundant and not helpful to the thread.
But thanks anyway.

Then it came to me, the message from GOD was:
The alien is us, "No Brains", "No Guts", "No Balls".
The letters "ET" translate to "US" using the ET Corn Gods language.
See the websites listed in my Profile.
This is GOD playing with us. The word “Person” translates to be: “Pin Head”.
But he has facts on his side and facts so far state that we don't have any real evidence of alien beings visiting Earth. So even if he says a simple "No, it's fake" it's still an argument which holds true at least untill proven othervise.

I agree with you and am providing a link to some other research that confirms this.

Who would create such a hoax and why? Any body getting rich off this picture? Anybody famous for it?
I agree I am inclined to guess that this is a fake.... but I refuse to accept that a guess is a valid substitute for knowledge.

That's an excellent contribution.
I still find it terribly frustrating trying to track down sources which take the form of a reference to an article that refers to a publication that quoted someone reporting something in a long-defunct newspaper. Things couldn't be more prone to manipulation than that. Great work.... it added information to the discussion about that picture.
But this photograph was made in black and white film stock, at best, or photographers glass at worst. Such image manipulation was not "common" nor "practiced" by any but specialists. Who would create such a hoax and why? Any body getting rich off this picture? Anybody famous for it?

Now that the picture is enlarged, in my opinion it's even more clear that it's a fake. It does not sit well or blend into the picture at all.
