I'm sorry but whomever introduced the "airplane theory" of flight,, [Insert Aircraft Id] into this mix of posible answers.seems to have been mistaken in their hypothosis/theory, timewise that is.
But it is these after the fact, proven wrong theories, that spoil the broth so to speak, So in accordance with good scientific practices and principles that we are obliged to throw out all of the, "after the fact airplane theory" out of the mix.
Once again starting from scratch we have an Emmy winning journalist video taping for 10 minutes a image in the sky.
At no time did he say he video'd the missle for 10 minutes.
His personal conclusion of watching said image for 10 minutes if not longer,, was "that it was a missle".

end of story.

now lets start again.

Listen---this thread is 26 pages long. The other two big threads also had plenty of info. Boondock has posted plenty of evidence throughout it--I'm not going to go do your job for you and scout 26 pages of information so you can have all of your links in one pretty little place. If you want to hear the evidence--go back through the threads and read it, just like the rest of us did. I'm not a librarian, and the information is there througout the thread for you to see.

I read the first 4 and a half pages of this thread, agreed with the plane theory and decided to skip to the end and comment on some of the later posts (I had lots to comment in the first ones, but I can't comment anymore, any questions would have been answered somewhere in the 26 pages. But anyway, why are you asking mods to disable your account, can you not do it by yourself on this forum? If I left, I would probably just forget about my account, let it be deleted automatically after x amount of days without logging in, or maybe see one day if its still active, and post some more.

A stinger missile has a burn time of a few seconds. Not ten minutes.
www.globalsecurity.org...

The planers keep trotting out the ten minute thing, no one has seen any 10 minutes of this. I think all any of us have seen is less than a minute. Pretty much dead on for a large missile from a distance.

Actually there is something else missing.
Evidence.

This was likely stated earlier, but there was no reported impact of any missile.

If it was tracked by NORAD and they decided to lie, we'll never know, the impact could have been

somewhere remote. Plus how embarassing for a foreign sub to launch next to san nicolas naval base.

Despite the fact that first impressions are that of a low speed missile, it doesn't add up hundreds

of pages later.

why would the chopper pilot lie about his 10 minutes of digital tape?

its probably as boring as the nasa chandra x-ray telescope conference was today!

See you need to remember that it was filmed for ten minutes it wasn't watched with the naked eye. Well I guess it was seen by the naked eye the only thing is it was looking thru a camera at the time. Ans I would guess he zoomed in at one point to keep it in view as it went away from him.

Ok, so all I can gather from this is that you have not gone through all the pages and therefore cannot judge what I've asked since you are not able to tell me where either of the original two were answered.

Side note: Since i'm a 'debunker' and anything I say holds no water to you then I ask you what is it you think happened, I'd like to know what your theory is on what happened.

The thing that gives you away (and Phage, etc), is that you use methods of NLP and intimidation to debunk any intuitional theory that doesn't jive with the US Gov/MIC agendas. I know; I was in the advertising biz. That should tell you alot, shouldn't it. You are clearly not stating your intuitive opinion, rather you are arguing a point until its dead in the water (rather like that cruise ship that got EMP'd...ha ha!).

I just want to say that all your pseudo scientific maps and diagrams are off by a wide margin. Phage's 'view from LAX is a complete joke and deserves a mighty great debunking from me, but I'm not going to waste my precious time arguing with bullies like you.

How do I know that your points are pure bunk is that I live where it happened and....
I SAW THE GODDAM PLUME MYSELF. Yes, it was the size of a missile PLUME!
I know what size and shape to expect from any plane flying overhead, whether they're passing over in their flight path to a distant destination, or approaching landing at LAX 100 miles to the South, or Sta Barbara AP 30 miles to the North of me. They're way up in the sky.....a tiny dot with 2 thin filaments following for a while.
As so many people who live around here have have been screaming out: IT WAS NOT A PLANE!

Just don't try that on me, mate.

You have just singled yourself out as a hateful and simple-minded individual with that comment. I'm sure you are not, but comments shot from the hip about "evil debunkers" and the likes are not only extremely insulting, but would get you laughed out of any reputable scientific circle.

I consider blind ignorance to be more evil.

"I knew it was a sub-launched ICBM from the first time I saw it. "

So you KNOW? I also tend to shy away from egotism and self-righteous people. I bet you are just more enlightened than the rest of us though, right?

Sir: I did not address you directly, but you seem a little bu... um... hurt.

If you consider yourself a debunker, then I withdraw my comment against you. I was however referring to those persistently shooting out their "knowledge" like they can't just say it once. They keep on and on, like they are on the time-clock.

So no offense, I wasn't referring to someone who just wants to discuss, just those on someone's payroll.
Thanks

The cameraman said he watched this for 10 minutes. Do you think the "Chinese missile" has such a different flight profile?

edit on 11/15/2010 by Phage because: (no reason given)

The cameraman also said it was no plane.

well the only way to find out what this object is ....is it have a super high res Image zoom . That can zoom all the way to 5 miles away . And make the Image clear . To see what this was .

and it will take longer than 10 minutes to accomplish that feat.
So you are wrong, it can remain in flight that long.

If it was made in China, the zipper probably fell off a quarter mile into the flight. I'm sorry but I don't see how you have faith in anything they make (reverse engineer) over there. It had to be jet trail, because anybody with a Chinese made missile will be standing in line with it at Wal-Mart hoping to get their money back...

No.
We don't know how long it was videoed. The cameraman said he watched it for 10 minutes.

The cameraman was mistaken. If it was a missile it would not have been visible for 10 minutes.

Tell me, if it was a missile, why the hell is it going the opposite direction of the mainland and why the hell would one of our ballistic missile interceptors be launched from an area in the Pacific where there is no land and there were most likely no Navy ships. Further more, ballistic missiles do not have chaff or flare systems.

Nice post. One possible answer to your question is that the chinese fired a missile right on the edge of international waters with a course out to sea (non aggressive). Just like a warning shot because of recent aggresive behavior on the part of the US. The "cat & mouse game continues" sort of thing. Is it possible that a chinese sub could get to the edge of Int'l waters with sonar absorbing tiles?

Now let me say that I haven't seen much analysis but the basic footage and a couple "expert opinions" before I started posting on this thread. Personally, I initially thought it was a missile from a distance. The distance and enormous frame of view explained why it apparently was moving slowly. But after seeing the pics Phage posted, that certainly is compelling evidence.
