No. It doesn't work like that.

I was surprised to find out that the presence of water had been confirmed but the possibility has been discussed for quite a while.

You realize that you just have shown absolute proof that NASA edits photos

I just find it hard to understand that sketica can say they edit photos to make them 'look prettier', add things like marks and arrows and still find it impossible to consider that they might make 'other adjustments'

It seems to be a very convincing picture & i am a firm believer that there is/has been activity on the moon - from humans & others.

The other pictures which are shown to be hills and not structures, do look agreeable but not completely.
It somehow feels that it has been 'dealt' with just for this image (the OPs image).
It could be an important structure of the moon. i ain't no expert on this...

What happens at the end of most of these discussions is that at most times you are left more confused than when you started off...

Once again, the shadow is very odd. I'd like you Phage to provide me a good picture WITH the shadow. Because the ones you provided didn't contain shadow, which is crucial here. It looks really linear, and not cast by a mountain (it looks too perfect). I am not saying it's a building, in fact, after reading all the pages of this thread, I tend to believe it's a natural formation. However, the pics you provided...Some of them looked doctored, and we can't really count on google moon pictures because we all know they're distorted to fit a spherical structure: the 3D model of the Moon.

So as I said, the shadow is odd, and I'd like you to show me another picture from another angle with the shadow on it, because really, the shadow of the original photo doesn't fit what you have provided...

Oh and by the way, Phage, how the * do you know all these things?

It depends on the purpose or intent of the supplier.

If you believe NASA is pure as snow and has no agenda...financial or otherwise..you might be right.
If however, old NASA has gone and new NASA is a tool of the political and military wings of a giant new 4th riech forming on the planet...you might have other suspicions.

Im somewhere in the middle...and miss 'old' NASA...am wary of new NASA..and will allways call for more scientific proof and _free_ and independant analysis before jumping into any bed with anyone's view.

This is a composite picture..the lines are two or more images cojoined.

You and others missed my point completely. I'm all for finding the truth (debunking) about something. ATS would be crap if we didn't have sceptics. It's totally different though, when that's ALL you do on here. There are a handful of posters on this site who spend ALL their time just debunking, and not getting "involved" in the topic, for me, on a site like this, is just plain weird.

It's almost like it's their job.............

Finding TRUTH is frustrating.

Skeptics can be wrong too.

A discussion board is to explore topics which are a mystery and by the end of it will still most likely be a mystery.

To exercise ones brain is a noble cause in and of it's self.

Just tinkering again... it's what I like to do with odd photos.

Below, I extracted part of the original image and began the series with it (top image).
The second is the same extraction with some contrast and light added.
The third highlights what almost looks like a trail for a wheeled or tracked surface vehicle.
The last in the series (bottom image) is a blow-up... and to tease out a few ideas, I added some color to mimic what one might see if examining a satellite photo of some surface area of the Earth.

Now, if you were looking at such a sat photo of some area of our planet you had never seen before, would you think those artificial or natural structures?

No statement here... just offering something to ponder.

Its strange and worth investigating further as this photo is inconclusive. We could sit here and debate all day, without further evidence its hard to make a determination.

I will say this though, lot's of weird and seemingly man-made structures appear throughout the earth and we still cannot prove one way or another if we did or didn't make it. Sometimes we just assume it had to be us. This universe being as wonderous and gigantic one could safely say this kind of phenomon might be quite common in the entirety of the universe of course.

In our little area, it is like winning the lottery finding one, but not implausible.

Yes,I have seen it, but isn't it the same picture as OP's? I was looking to a different one...Because the pics you provided didn't have any shadow, which is crucial.

This image has shadows very similar to the OP but unless you get an image taken at exactly the same time of the lunar day, the shadows won't be exactly the same.

Well I am really impressed that you admit that... because the majority of skeptics generally just vanish into thin air when the truth is finally revealed.

But yes I posted a long time ago the Defense Dept debriefing released in 1996 that talked about water ice covering 100 square km and 5o feet deep that they called a small lake in comparison for volume. But just go back on any of those old threads and the Water on Mars threads and you will see the abuse from most skeptic

I've highlighted the features that should scream to you what your looking at. Simple Block Faulting. Nothing more and not even unusual.

That would be an ideal location to perhaps get a peak at what's under the surface, but then we know it's mostly Basalt. If this were a closer image, I doubt those shadows are that straight and I also doubt those features are as angular as the look. The sun is obviously at a very low angle to the surface.

Here's another photo of that strange cork screw feature... It shows up in a few of the photos... They seem to always lead into what looks like a mound of rocks. Anyone know what that is?
