The Firepower, the Intelligence, the Strategic prowess, the Air and Land dominance, the Combined Forces
of every Liberating and Oppressing armies that have existed in the last 200 years and they still cannot defeat

Yissachar, as someone who has lost a friend in the current war, I am begging you, lose that attitude. your angry, like me, at the disrespect the "extremists" have shown, I fully understand how you feel, I sorta feel the same myself.

Yes I can Understand how it really hurts. Soldiers believe in their fight. People really kill for what they believe,
Families are destroyed and are distraught over the death and horrific maiming of their loved ones.
This is so sad.
I`m glad you have managed to see thru the deceit.
It`s so difficult to praise the fallen and somehow accept their (undoubted) bravery.

My unit commemorates ANZAC day too because we were right beside you in Gallipoli earning "6 Victoria Crosses before breakfast."

It was called "the Lancashire Landing" because the beech was red with the blood of Lancashire Fusiliers (now the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers)

Depleted Uranium in used in munitions and were designed for penetrating the armour on tanks, but they seem to be using it for just about everything, so you have to suspect there are genocidal motives behind it, at least I would think so if they were using it to shoot up my neighborhood.
The Tony Blair thing I can not prove with a news article yet, so I will have to accept the "balls" comment as being legitimate. It was based on hearsay which the radio is, if it is just someone saying it without giving a reference to someone who heard it first hand. I have not heard anyone yet contradict the claim so I have not questioned its truthfulness until you guys made your comments on my comment.

I don't think there's a time I can remember now where I haven't welled up with pride and sadness while watching the remembrance Sunday parade and ceremony... the sight of those old guys who lost a lot of friends and gave their time and lives... and minds so that we would be safe and so that the likes of Hitler could not prosper and conquer.

There are not enough men like this any more...they did it and asked for nothing in return... they don't like to be called heroes and every year we lose more and more of them.

We should never forget these amazing people.


It's not only those extremist protesters who tarnished the memory of those who gave their lives for our freedom.... our governments do also....involving themselves in wars/conflicts they have no business in.

Killing innocent civilians for profit.

Society and the world in general has changed so much from when these brave men laid down their lives... I think they would be ashamed and embarrassed of what our government does in the name of our freedom now.

Going to war on a lie has tarnished our (armed forces) good reputation and that wanker is now rich because of the blood sacrifice of coalition forces and civvys.

A mate of mine now has to go through his life with just an arm left of his limbs and disfigured face because of a lie! You have no idea how much I hate these bastards! I am now studying to be a psych nurse to help the future time bomb of squaddies with ptsd get over it as I did without help. I figure better me than some civvy who has no idea of what combat is like.

One thing I cannot understand is why they would not let us finish the job in the first Gulf war when it was "legitimate".
I was in the back of a Warrior APC as a keen and green 17 year old grunt ready to finish it.

Things could have been soo different if they had let us do and finish the job!

I think it is just another threat. Just like when they said they would protest at Wooton Basset but never did because they knew they would be lynched.

But if they do? Im there tomorrow. It would not be good for their health.
